Champions Online has basically every you've suggested, for instance, regarding stats. I don't think stats are thematic to superheroes, at least not in the way proposed. How much Strength does Superman have? What about the Hulk? Spiderman? A more structured game without those stats is both simpler and far more balanced (see early CO). I'm not going to argue about the specific examples, though I do feel that the proposed (1.1% MaxHealth) are basicaly insignificant.
The Hulk could have something similar, but he also has the "rage" mechanic/power that makes him do more damage the more he fights (is angered), also mimicking his sheer power without having to rely on the stat itself so much. Unlike Supes he'd probably have skipped on the "using strength to lift buildings and such" and put more into "using strength as a weapon" parts.
Just my 2inf on how that could work, and the same can go for stuff like Super Reflex, etc, etc. -
Well, wouldn't making the villains be relativley simple?
I mean, the corruptor would have damage halfway between the defender/blaster, and the same "buff/debuff" as the controller, with scourge activating at a roll say... on a 19-20 if the foe is 1/2 HP, and -2 for every 10% there after (17-20, 15-20, etc) as a thought.
Brute's fury could work like my Berserker's... fury I have in mine: Every hit landed by or on the Brute increases their next attack's damage by 1 per hit for the next 2-3 rounds, stacking. Then they just have max HP between Tank/Scrap, yadda yadda.
Stalkers just work like rogues kinda lol.
Dominators could just have baseline damage values compared to everyone, and get access to the control/damage sets, and then domination is built up by successfully landing X attacks over time or such.
Masterminds are trickier yeah, but ovb they'd have the worst HP, but gain little NPC's they have some control over like in-game, with the player able to control minions to do things instead of taking an action him/herself that turn. Supremacy/Bodyguard works like in-game as well, if they're in X range of the MM, it works. -

Well, in that case wouldn't the added utility of the secondary set give a reason to be in melee range, even with the range defense?

Unfortunatley, I think the proc only effects the one who's end is being modified, in this case the baddies who get -end from the AoEs...

What's worse is that I have an HP Touchsmart 600 (all in one) that i belive the GFX card is integrated into, so I'm really not sure if I can upgrade to a new card to just resolve the issue..(and get new shinies / framerate)

I have a GeForce200, and have been able to play fine until last nite

Simple issue that I'm not sure of being coincidental or being experienced by others, but after downloading the 11/10/11 patch it seems my GFX card has disappeared from my NVidia control panel. Furthermore, when trying to play CoH, it will go in game (if it gets past character select) for all of about a minute before force closing with the following message:
Anyone have any idea what could have happened? My card worked just fine prior to the patch... -
how about in a spine/ anythign with another damage aura?
how much more valuable are the procs there when there can be multiples going off at once? -

1) Heal IOs/Enhs no longer enhance the Numia/Miracle procs i have in health
2) Fitness is inherit

as you can see, I tried making a regen blaster with bonuses to damage, some rech and acc as well...
now that i have free slots (and some free powers...) what can i do to change this?
Preferabbly I'd like more damage, rech or maybe some def though -
so, fly DOESNT need any slotting and it'll be capped?

Out of curiousity, what would be the minimum amount of Defense needed to acheive nigh soft-cap like survival when you combine the Defense with other kinds of Migitation?

yeah, its just that even after like, 20 minutes nothing would happen.
So after a whole hour, it inally loaded, which is odd for me (and thus lead me to belive I had a problem) since I have a usually fast connection for these things -

When i try to download the latest patch, the game says that "CoH Sound Data Pigg" is messe dup somehow, then i am stuck here in a download that literally says it's gonna take over 9000 hours....
What is going on? -
