Been on my family vacation for the last week and a half, but sign me up for next Sun, Dec 2nd! (j/k
)
Great magi runs, Triumph peeps, glad to hear that we were able to finally get onto the board before the game ends. Big thanks to @Sayaki & @SnowGlobe for tirelessly organizing all these attempts for us all these months!
Cyas in game until our "world" ends on Nov. 30th (or early Sat morning for us East Coasters!)

Congratz guys! Triumph finally gets on the scoreboard, it was inevitable! Sorry I missed out on this run, hurricane Sandy ran me outta my house on Sunday night, but I'll try to be around if you have any future attempts before this game ends!

i should be able to make it for this.
Lvl 50+3 MA/SR scrap -
Very sorry to hear about your mom's cancer, Snow. Thoughts and prayers go out to you both and your family in hoping she can remain strong enough and pull through for the rest of her chemotherapy treatments.
A big thanks to you for being one of our leaders on our beloved Triumph server. Interacting w/ dozens of other players and having a community in MMOs makes it very fun, but having leaders to create events and bring the community together makes it great. Being a leader puts yourself out there even moreso to be loved by some and hated by others, and as everyone knows, you're not gonna please everybody. And being a leader is not always fun, in fact it actually can turn out to be a lot of work, and maybe sometimes it can turn into not being fun anymore. But being a leader can help create and shape a great community- and sometimes you won't be able to see or realize that until we have a situation like our "End of Days" here in CoH. We have a GREAT community of people here on Tirumph.
Eventually I'll have my turn to post my thank yous to various players and my thoughts on the game, but for this post I will just say a big thank you to Snow Globe, aka Eric Sutton. Thanks for being one of our leaders that helped to bring Triumph players together for our various events. Thanks for continuing to mod a channel and yet be pestered for it by a select few, just so that the majority can remain having fun. Thanks for being one of those people to help shape our online community.... into an online family
/e thumbs up

Quote:Wow Amethyst, I really like this one. It's somewhat of an obvious one for a super hero MMO, and yet I haven't given that idea much thought (yet). It's like you'd be fighting an un-winnable battle to the end, and yet you fight on anyways. If not with my main, I think I'd definitely wanna be there using one of my various alt that carry my namesake, beside a number of our Triumph peeps and just fighting on thru the streets until 'Lost Connection to Mapserver' comes up.If they give us an exact time for shutting off the servers, Amethyst Star will go out fighting when the last 'Lost Connection to Mapserver' message shows up.
I am so there.
Nov 30th, 2012.
Take that NCSoft...

Just had a thought, primarily for my main toon- UltraBatz, lvl 50 MA/SR scrapper. Was thinking about where I would want to log him out for the last time. I actually started him out in Galaxy City w/ Back Alley Brawler as my trainer instead of Ms. Liberty in Atlas. So I figured, since I'm about to join the "echoes" of the CoH universe and become one myself in a few months, I was thinking that he should end his heroic career where it began, and log him out for the last time in the Echo of Galaxy City.
So, where would you log out your main/namesake for the very last time?
ps- It's still unnerving thinking that there will be a day where I won't be able to just log on and check on my toons anymore. It's like they were a part of me, or even an extension of me....

Wow, this is so unreal right now. It's like we're finally all removing our masks to share our secret identities.
So yeah, I joined the FB group, just waiting for my request to be accepted. My name is Theo, family man, father of triplets, hero at heart, etc. I guess its time to really get to know our family here on Triumph, outside the server, in the real world...
It's been an honor and pleasure meeting and getting to know everyone on this server, no way I could ever forget this experience.

Long live Triumph -
I just happened to come across this in the notes for I4:
"Added the badge, Oobatz, for completing the St. Martial zone event"
DAMMIT!!! THIS BADGE WAS MADE FOR ME, AND NOW I'LL NEVER HAVE IT! So ironic, lol!
Oh well...
:-/ -
Hmmm, so first the death of Statesman... then the death of all our toons.....
I see the barrage of replies now to the thread, can barely catch up.
Well, looks like this is the beginning of our goodbyes then, but I'll reserve mine for closer to the end date I suppose.... -
Well, I'm gonna start locally here on our server, but does anyone know what Zwillinger's announcement is supposed to mean? Haven't seen any replies on it yet.

Thanks all who came out! The raid wasn't as smooth as we normally have it on Triumph, but a win is still a win! And judging from some of the various tells I got after the raid, it looks like lots of ppl had fun, so it was still a good night for Triumph. Until the next time!

It's been a long while since I tried running one of these, so I'm gonna give it a try for this weekend. If anyone is available that would be great. I should have enough EoEs stocked up somewhere, so what I could really use are about 5 tanks/brutes w/ taunt, a targetter for the main mass (*looks around for Exabecquerel....*), and a hami taunt team. Everything else should fall into place, and if there are some incanates w/ buff powers then I'm sure we should have enough buffage.
It's been quite a while since Triumph has had one of these, so I hope to see you there! I promise to make it as painless as possible!
ps- oh, and in case anyone wants get familiar w/ how I set up a hami raid, I put a guide out on the CoH forums a while back, link:
http://boards.cityofheroes.com/showthread.php?t=262345
additional tips:
- make sure you can fly (raptor packs/jet packs)
- buffage from warburg nukes can help
Thanks all!

Argh! That woulda been a kuul screenshot to get on my toon too. Well past that myself, but too bad the devs didn't make a badge for hitting 1337 and calling it "Leet" or "Elite" or something like that
-
Poor Burte- hope he knows how to stay outta trouble!
Aaaaannd... Eva's mysterious date is with..... ULTRABATZ!
Gimme part 3! Gotta know who the mysterious boss baddie is! -
Finally got back into this club a few weeks ago..... for about 48 hours..... then I22 hit......grrrr...
But I'm finally done again and can relax on my badging for the time being (just waiting for the DA day job...).
Off to more endgame content! -
Hey Saint, what's your global? I might try to come along for this if I can get online in time.

The Hami Raid was a success, thanks to those who came out to assist! The Incarnate buff powers are a nice addition to our arsenal, it makes the bionukes not really necessary if we don't have any. And the Lore pets plus Incarnate buffs made it fairly easy to go for Cell Death and push through the last Mito Bloom and take Hami out 1 wave early. I think we only had about 30 people there and yet each wave went very smoothly, no team wipes at all during the mito clearing. And Exa's use of Incandesance for the league TP was a nice touch- I know there was atleast 1 mito bloom where no one died and we didn't need to take any time for rezzes- sweet! Great job all, go Triumph once again!
That one was for you, Sentai Kickblast. -
This just gave me a thought. If Triumph is able to get enough people on Saturday to get a Hami Raid off the ground, then we should broadcast that we will be running the raid to honor Sentai Kickblast. I believe he was one of the regulars in the Hami Kill Squad group that we used to have on our server, so it seems like a fitting thing to do.
-
Wow, that's very sad news. I've played and chatted w/ KB many times, was a very fun guy. Condolences to his friends and family, and to many of us on Triumph who were fortunate enough to know him in or out of game. I have a Sentai toon, I think he was the one who invited it to the SG.
Rest in Peace, Jake. It was great to know you as a hero in Paragon City. -
Hi all, going to attempt to run a Hami Raid in the Hive this Saturday 2/25 at 8pm EST. Feel free to come by and help if you have a chance. Thanks.
