Apparently the game has problems running more than one event at once.
I agree, do the double XP bit, bring the chalet back if possible. Many of the other "events" 9really invasions) can be player triggered, as well - Lady Gray triggers a rikti invasion, turning in halloween salvage at night gives a chance to trigger the halloween invasion or banner event, etc.
Of course, the bigger problem, even if they could do that, is that there's nobody around to *do* that now. Everyone's been handed their marching orders.

It would be in their best interest to keep the playerbase as happy as possible until then if they want any of us to ever play an NCSoft game ever again.
So I can see double XP happening at some point in the near future.
Unlock all stuff in the shops, let everyone have all costumes and power sets since no one will soon enough. I'd like to be able to post in any forum again since I can't upgrade back to a VIP account.

I agree... put everything that is currently on the market at 0 Points, since they're basically not selling anything anymore and run it like Beta runs the market (no cost for anything), and they might as well push some of the older builds out so we can get the CyberTech pack and the Bodysuits as well as Super Pack 2.

They aren't going to do that.
The moderation since the announcement has been a really heavy load for them.
Opening up all of the forums would just increase that load and Zwillinger, Hit Streak and Freitag are busy enough as it is right now (on top of having to look for new jobs).
They did open up the PM system for all posters. That was probably the most they could do without adding more work for themselves.
If the game spit out 20 dollar bills people would complain that they weren't sequentially numbered. If they were sequentially numbered people would complain that they weren't random enough.

I got the news of the shut down just by logging in to check and see if there was any new news on the Bio Armor release. I held out on Water Blast and Nature to save points for that. That's all I want to rock out the next couple of months.
Chiming in with another vote to unlock everything that can be unlocked without crashing the servers. I would hope that at this point no one would begrudge others having toys that they "didn't earn." Come December 1st, it won't matter who had what, so let us all enjoy what there is to enjoy while we can.

Since NCsoft won't willingly take my money in these last days, please allow me to say a proper goodbye to all of my characters. I never bought Time Manipulation, and would really like to play a couple of my favorites before all is said and done.
It costs you nothing to at least give me that.
Why stop at just events?
The devs spent time working on stuff. I say for the last week of the game, they unlock every powerset they had in the pipeline that never made it to Beta on the markets for free.
Bio Armor, Rad Melee, Psi Melee, Savage Melee, Wind Control, Gadgetry, etc.
Anything they can just push to live for fun, kind of like how the end of SWG let you turn yourself into any in-game model.

In case you didn't know, Beta server is completely unlocked! Everything on the store can be bought for 0 Inf, so you can buy whatever you need. Buy yourself a ton of character slots and powersets and then come here to the forums and use the Character Copy Tool to transfer over as many characters as you want.
Doing this has allowed me to run my Time Manipulation characters again!
Unlocking some free server transfers would be nice, like that pack you sold at the start of Freedom (5 server transfers for 100 points if I recall). There aren't that many active players left and it'd be nice if we could just flock together.
