The greeks used to do that whole "I observe it, so it must be true" thing too.

Feel free to outline how the 20-50 content would have progressed in the same style as the 1-20 content

Something like that; kind of like the "Red Side Pop vs. Blue Side Pop" debate; "...Core Game Pop vs. Expansion Game Pop (and how it affects future allocation of resources)".

Apparently, I play "City of Shakespeare"
*Arc #95278-Gathering the Four Winds -3 step arc; challenging - 5 Ratings/3 Stars (still working out the kinks)
*Arc #177826-Lights, Camera, Scream! - 3 step arc, camp horror; try out in 1st person POV - 35 Ratings/4 Stars

Just curious but noticed on the CoH facebook page/status message about 20 mins ago it says, "i24 is so packed with content the overview page is working properly now!" or something to that extent.

I checked the link but nothing new that I could see....

Agreed

You don't need that to explain how the 20-50 content would have unfolded

The only thing that I am not 100% excited about is the new lore pets. And that is because I just slotted up my tier three last night with poorly fitting options. The Tsoo would have been perfect. I have several toons that the knives, talons, and BP would be awesome for. Back to collecting Rares Incarnate Salvage.
Seriously, well done all around.

It wasn't really a matter of outline per se, IMO, it was more an issue of timing; basic Praetorian content vs Incarnate content... and how that Incarnate content was weighted; Primal-based vs. Praetoria-based.

But that was always going to be the case - multi-team Trials need as many players available as possible, so separate faction Trials were never an option - if a genuine 1-50 faction like Villains weren't going to get separate Trials, a 1-20 temporary faction like Praetoria was never going to get any either.

Excited by what appears to be some really awesome new content, but disappointed that Praetoria does, in fact, appear to be kaput now. It's my favorite world/zone/side of all three.

Now that the Praetorian survivors are getting some living space in Paragon, though, what about the Rikti? I mean, the Traditionalists have been working with Vanguard and the heroes since Issue 10, and they've yet to get their own plot of land, but the Praetorian refugees have only started spilling in since last issue. I call speciesism!!!!

(Seriously, though, let's at least let the Rikti Traditionalists take over a revamped Crey's Folly, try to reclaim that area from the Crey, Rikti, and Freakshow scavengers there. Throw 'em a bone, eh?)

I think we might get more Rikti content for the Coming Storm - their knowledge about the Battalion and how they defeated it is certain to be vital to the defense of Primal Earth and its allied dimensions.

True. Hopefully they get a little place in a zone they can call their own, though. (And I don't mean the RWZ).

At least it seems clear what that giant statue image was about on the FB page yesterday, though; I'm guessing it's a reward for completing the Incarnate arc in Praetoria- your toon is immortalized by the survivors in that zone.

Speaking of scorched Earth policies- maybe when the Apocalyptic set comes out, they'll have a little more Praetoria somethin' somethin' to go with it, since it appears to have gone to a complete dystopia now. (grumble, grumble.)

I also see Praetorian Penny fighting against what I presume are the villains in that villainous Praetorian arc that is mentioned. Interesting.

Not what I was getting at:

Timing - Blowing the Incarnate load too soon; they pitted a bit of basic, low level content vs. 'a lot of super shiny' almost right off the bat

Weighting - most of the Incarnate story was generated through Primal side contacts and content (whether it was iTrial related or not).

My argumentative side is getting the better of me and I almost regret stating my opinion on the matter. You're more than welcome to hash this out with me in another thread if you'd like but I'm done in this one. For reals this time.

The loyalists were already shown to be a huge threat in the 1-20 content - players were shown their plans for world wide conquest and genocide, as well as shown how imposisble it would be to change the evil empire from within - plus, we also had Maria Jenkins and the other Portal Corp misisons to reinforce just how dangerous Tyrant and his stormtroopers were before we got down to the Incarnate war content.

That's because the 1-20 content made everyone a Primal

Then that isnt an issue with resource allocation but more how the playerbase plays the game.

Which, IMO, was directly tied into how they chose to allocate those resources (see continuing (and finalized, lol) discussion with GG for reference).

Edit: I'm not mad at the Devs for creating Praetoria; I'm just disappointed that we're probably not going to see much in the way of [its] further use and I'm actually hoping the[y] figure out a way to squeeze it for all that its worth (which may be irrelevant now thanks to the inclusion of micro-transactions).

Edit: Edit: I felt similarly about Cimerora (and I'm willing to bet that it required a heck of a lot less in the way of resources than the whole of Praetoria).

Very excited about all the new content coming out. Seems like this will be the perfect time to start appeasing my lower level characters, who are all pretty miffed about my 50s getting all the love lately (although I'll for sure be checking out the new Incarnate arc).

I'm also very intrigued by the Enhancement changes and new sets, as this is the first I'd heard of that. Between that and the pool changes, there could be some quality time spent with Mids on the horizon.

You guys DO realize that these powers you are making so they do something different if cast on a friend/foe (e.g. Injection and that nature aff power) completely ruins the whole "assist" mechanism you have in place for those powers, right? Have you forgotten that feature? Or is it that I am one of the only ppl left who still uses it?
Can't cast my heal on the mob and heal/buff who he is targeting anymore with those powers, for example. I really hope (and doubt) you thought that through well.
