Was there going to be an announcement about power pools?

Well they said "next week" but I think they actually meant "next coffee talk" which due to Independence Day is next week (that's next week from now, two weeks from when they said "next week").

GOD i hope it's pool customization.
just thinking of non-yellow hasten and SS and whirlwind makes me quiver with glee.
it would make a LOT of sense to whip out customization for pools [power pools and epic pools] before any potentially new... <_< ... O_O ... >_> ... pools were added to the game...

In addition, the phrase "5th power" was tossed around (possibly like what was done for the travel pools, but for the remaining pools) and there's the "Sorcery" pool that was spotted on Test during the i23 beta.

They also made a point to answer the question about 'hero patron pools'.
So I think the pool party is going to be interesting for all levels.

I rember I asked about a min FX option for hasten and Posi said he could't talk about it. I don't know if that adds or subtracts credence to the anoucment being pool customization.

Oh and maybe just plain more options for flavor at the very least, Natural is a very hard origin to get epics for. Not that it stopped me, but, still, it would've been nice to have an option.
Cottage rule is going to water down any changes. Some really need an overhaul:
Stealth
Presence
I'd go so far as to say some powers need a nerf to hell and back:
Hasten
Weave
Whining about everything since 2006.

Ha, I think if you nerfed Hasten, the forums would EXPLODE.

When they answer things with "We can't talk about that right now..." that triggers the alarm that it (or something to do with that aspect) is actually in the works. As opposed to the previous responses of, "we know, it's just not on the schedule yet, etc.".
Who knows (they do) and we'll see (when? I don't know!!!)...
I also asked if the pools were going to be chlorinated, but I didn't get a straight answer...

~6% defense for yourself only, for 3 power picks and a non-trivial endurance cost, needs "a nerf to hell and back"?
If softcapping needs to be nerfed, it should be by changing set bonuses, not Weave.

I did find a use for Kick. I slot it with a Froce Feedback +Rech so that way when I'm fighting AV's with -Recharge like Ice Maden and.... those other ones I have something to use while everything is recharging and if it procks more recharge!
So, their is one situation where its useful that happens maybe once or twice when leveling up.

Any power pool changes at this point are a positive (with the exception of a nerf to Hasten lol) and increases replay value of a lot of alts.
