The I22 Story Arcs (Spoilers will probably occur)

I just recently got around to playing the four level 20 arcs added in I22. They were absolutely amazing. My favorite of the bunch was Laura Lockhart's arc against the Column. The fight against Metzger and his army of underlings really felt heroic. I think the content in this game has been steadily improving of late, and I just wanted to share my opinion of the arcs so that players who might have missed them could play them. These new contacts aren't automatically added to your list. You have to use the Find Contact button (or click on them, but it's way easier to use the button).

Yeah, the storytelling's been on a steep upward curve since I17 and the clone/doppelganger arcs -all the new little bits of tech they've added has let them create way more dynamic stories than the older content - especially the launch content.
The latest bit of tech is the new temporay power bar, which is used in a I23 to let the player play as a well known NPC, only instead of the way it was done in I22, where you didn't have any powers while doing it, the new tech now lets the game still gray out your normal powrs, but gives you a selection of powers that belong to the NPC instead.

Wow, thanks for dropping the spoilery I23 tidbit in what I assumed would be discussion of the I22 story arcs as mentioned in the title. Not everyone plays in the Betas and some of us prefer to learn what is new in an issue when it goes live.

I must be the only one that felt the Metzger fight was a bit silly. I mean it was sort of epic? But it felt like those old ninja movies, I only won because they came at me one at a time (obviously one 'group' at a time) but it felt like they were holding back purposely so it would be easy. If they had -all- swarmed at once it probably would be slightly more face planty.

I found the one in Steel Canyon for the Graham guy ... lierally stumbled over it.

Are there others?

And can we flashback to them? The Graham one was quite fun and has a nice temp power reward.

Welcome to the wonderful world of GG. Where tact and discretion are unknown and everything upcoming she knows or has hints at has to be regurgitated as often as possible without forethought

So where do we find these missions then? I knew nothing about them at all and I've a TW/Elec in that range still who wouldn't mind a Crazy 88 situation against some space nazis.

Steel Canyon, level 15-25 range, from the Find Contact button. I can't remember their exact position in the city, but their arcs do appear in Ouroboros as well in the 20-30 section IIRC.

I actually started Laura's arc last night. While I agree it's a great arc I kind of guessed the twist almost immediately.

Although since a certain NPC got stuck on geometry twice during the arc, once requiring a GM to intervene, that kind of cemented it for me.

They can also be found in Obo.

In my opinion the two red side arcs of this issue are funnier and <gasp> better.

This thread got me to go check out Laura's arc, running it now. The mission that awards Steel Savior is awesome, glad I found out about this.

I don't want to advocate more annoying "So and so wants to talk to you.." contact pop ups, but the devs should really get a way to advertise great new content like this.

What was the spoiler?

Wow, whine much? It was a mention of an INTERFACE feature, not some plot twist or surprise ending. I'm not sure it even fits the definition of "spoiler".

4? I only found two. Graham Easton, and Laura Lockhart. What are the other 2?

And yes those two rocked. I hope for much more content like that. Hopefully in the level 30 range.

Edited a typo.

Laura is almost directly due east of Positron. Graham is about 150 yds north of Detective Rogers on the map.

One major advantage of Graham's arc is all of the missions are within walking distance of each other.

I know there was an option to let Leon live... But I chose to kill him. That little @#$% can count his own body among the 'causalities of war', and in my mind, I kept it slow, dragged out, and painful.
Like how he sentenced Laura and countless other U.N. soldiers to die. Worst part is, Leon didn't get that by seeing to the destruction of a U.N. support base, he probably drove off further outside help from Paragon for years to come.
Heroes will not be backed by the U.S. military, the slums will not be assisted by U.N. soldiers, national relief workers will not set foot in Paragon to help with the Galaxy City Crisis now...
All because Leon made sure they would be too afraid of losing valuable resources and manpower.
Also, because Leon is a dick.

If you guys want to find them, hit 'find contact'. If you're in the right level range they'll show up.

The timing could have been a bit better with the Collateral Damage story arc. With States, Psyche, and Miss Liberty just recently planted in the marble gardens blueside didn't need one more shot at herofail.

Redside you get a to have your own personal army twice.

Don't get me wrong, I like all those arcs but they really need to find something other than "rocks fall everyone dies" to make things "heroic".

Really, what was your first clue.

The second I saw this NPC I trashbinned the entire arc in my mind. It's like, whoever wrote this didn't even -try-
