Having looked for confirmation of NT's impression (I kind of agree), something else struck me that I feel compelled to ask about - what is wrong with Penny's right leg? I can't quite see through the menu items, but from where it ends, it looks like it's FAR too long to be a leg, and I can't quite comprehend the curved. I can kind of follow her knee, then her calf, but from there on it looks actually looks like her ankle is bent BACK, which I'm pretty sure would break it. That... Can't be right, can it?

You know, this wouldn't even be an issue if they just had a login screen that showed a bunch of robots or Rikti beating the everlivin' daylights out of each other! No more men's "areas" no more women with noneuclidian spines.

But then that would kind of defeat the point of this being a game about superheroes wouldn't it?

Lacking in CoH terms is what I meant, really :P. Got too used to Praetor Tilman and boobcat-I mean bobcat. Needless to say, a normal looking woman is usually more attractive. There's such thing as too big.

Agreed, but for different reasons. I'm far more interested in Shadowhunter's pecs than I am Penny's bosom (which doesnt even come close to her gi-normous a**.... Put it away, girl. Put it away!!!)

also, penny's costume is hideous, and shadowhunter has pieces i want for my own toons. still i like the idea of NPC interaction on the screen instead of the pin-up pose. i'd be ok with the pin up pose if it was mildly anatomically correct. i dont get why there can be nips and thongs on M. Mayhem but States was flat and eunich[sp?] like. [no beef against Eunichs, just that States wasn't one. XD] i dont need much, even the slightest shadow would have made it less awkward imo.

Although silicone can do weird things with them, her top doesn't show any sign of them, and she's wearing a kind of under bust basque/shaper, not a thong.

I believe Zombie posted this picture to demonstrate how it is possible to twist one's torso in relation to the lower body, rather than an example of the "boobs-and-butt" effect. Note that we are not looking at the woman in Zombie's picture from the same angle that we see Penny in the new login screen. In Zombie's picture, the woman's chest is pointed directly at the camera and her rear is pointed to the right side of the picture (notice her feet are planted perpendicular to the camera--it would take a truly great feat of flexibility if her rear were pointed directly away from us) . If you rotated her so that we are looking at her chest from an angle (as we see Penny) you would be able to see both her chest and her rear at the same time--just not a frontal view of either.

Even with my not-terribly-flexible body, I can stand in front of the mirror and twist like Penny to see an angled view of both my chest and my rear at the same time. I think my anatomy is fairly normal.

The chest and the butt of a human person will standing normally face in opposite directions, i.e., 180 degrees. A person with normal flexibility can rotate their shoulders 90 degrees to one side (we presume supers with athletic training could do more, but let's just stick with a real world 90 degrees).

With that twist the chest and butt are now facing in different directions at 90 degrees. If the chest was pointing directly at you, you would see the butt pointing straight to the side at 90 degrees.

Now move so that you're halfway between where the chest and butt are pointing. From that vantage point, the chest and butt are pointing your direction... not completely, but at 45 degrees each toward each side.

And that's the position Penny is in.
