The Enterprise that could of been...

I was going though some other forums and came across this:

"THE STARSHIP ENTERPRISE" (I included the Comments link following the article)

Basically it boils to this:
The Goddard Group was one of two development groups going after the downtown Las Vagas redevelopment back in '92. Their plan was to create a 1:1 external scale TMP/WoK Enterprise in downtown Las Vagas. Everything else has been green-lit except by the head of Paramount at that time. He said no. I'll let you all read the blog for the details.

I think this could of been rather interesting to of seen. Discuss...

Thank you for the time...

Of course, in the spirit of one-upsmanship, Lucas would've built a Death Star.

Meh. Let me know when they decide to build the Big-D.

(It would have been pretty cool, even though I never cared for the original series.)

And this is proof that one person can make a difference even if the person made an incredibly stupid decision. The only other possibility was that he was paid off by Lucas.

The first step in being sane is to admit that you are insane.

If that had happened, I would have moved to Vegas to get a job in that place.

I'm not so sure if he was off base. The Star Trek Experience over at the Hilton closed down.

I would've loved to have gone there. My mother got a kick out of the workers when she went with my father. My father... was only so amused.

And filled it with ewoks and gungans and things for the kiddies.

That would've been awesome.

In other news, "of" is not a verb.

Not even if you use it that way twice in one sentence?

'I don't like the look of it at all,' said the King: 'however, it may kiss my hand if it likes.'
'I'd rather not,' the Cat remarked.
'Don't be impertinent,' said the King, 'and don't look at me like that!' He got behind Alice as he spoke.
'A cat may look at a king,' said Alice.

Especially not. I probably wouldn't even have mentioned it if not for that sentence. I see a lot of "could of", "would of", and "should of" errors that I pass by with just a slight wince and move on (many of them in the works of George R. R. Martin, a professional writer who should know better). And I undoubtedly make grammatical errors of my own. But that "to of been" was just too much. I began wondering things like:

"Does that person of a high school education?"
"Of they even been to school at all?"
"Will their wedding vows be 'to of and to hold'?"

Something broke inside my brain. Then my left eye began twitching and I wanted to bludgeon something with a homophone.

The feeling they had getting that rejection is one I can relate to, if on a much smaller scale. As an art director, you see a lot of great concepts get shot down by that one guy in the room who at the end of it all says something to the effect of "if you hold it sideways and tilt your head back this part way over here looks kind of like this thing I saw as a kid and makes me think such-n-such."

Those guys... those guys right there... they ruin so much.

@Rylas

Kill 'em all. Let XP sort 'em out.
