Now if they can get this to work so that things like the personal stories in the DA arcs don't turn everything off. Coming out of missions to run into poed +3's can be kind of a downer.

It might be because while they were fixing one thing they accidentally discovered how to keep toggles on after log out.

I already knew that.

That's on purpose since it's the contact's "personal story"....

Now why we don't (or can't) have that contact's "powers" while we're doing those mission(s) is another question

True, but irrelevant. The DEFAULT status is OFF. If the game remembers nothing about the state of the character, then all toggles are off.

I never timed the animations, but I have one character that runs 12 (dark/dark tank with Fighting and Leadership pools).

That tech wasn't available for I22 - but it's used for Tyrant's personal story mission in I23.

True but irrelevant. The game does remember if the toggles are on or off.

From the patch notes:

Quote:
  • Inner Inspiration: Fixed a bug that caused the 30 minute lockout period of Inner Inspiration to track in-game time. Instead it now correctly uses in or out of game time.
  • Toggle Powers no longer drop after having been logged out for 15 minutes or more.
My guess is fixing the Inner Inspiration issue is what lead to realizing the toggle change would be possible, and probably relatively easy as well since it was released in the same patch.

...times several characters per play session times however many play sessions = a lot of time watching my character look constipated rather than doing something.

Is this a transformative change? No, certainly not. It's really awesome, though.

I'm usually toggled off at the end of my play sessions because of RP and activating [Walk] during my cool-off periods, but this is indeed handy.

I usually only toggle on my armors after entering the mission, both for visual reasons and just as something to do. That said, I have taken to leaving Tough and Weave on all the time, since they have no fx, so this upgrade is pretty nice.

If it means not having to resummon my entire cadre of pets whenever I mapserve, all the bettter!

My main defender has 7 toggles and my main scrapper has 11, I applaud this change

I'm hoping it's this. Because when the Panther travel power comes out, I'm gonna have to use it.

I figure, maybe they're trying to remember character states particularly with which powers are active and then save them on the character and/or revert to that state and a 'default' state when using the unique travel toggles mentioned.

Aside, I'm like some of the others in this thread. I tend to turn toggles off after missions (except maybe tough and weave) and only turn them on when traveling in hostile territory (getting to mission/in mission).

Somehow a positive thread about a change that is 100% a good thing ends up with negative responses. I don't get it.

It's not like this was an issue release and the only change was a QoL.

Some people see any time spent on anything that's not their pet gripe about the game as a "waste of dev time"...
