That's neat!
I assumed as much. Though, I have to say that my first thought after having flown to the top boat and back on that map was, "Man, I feel bad for anybody that didn't take flight."

Are there Rularruu all the way up? I spied a couple on the way back.

Yes. Stealth defying Rularuu.

Ok, I would do two simple things to make the ending WAY more interesting.

1. First, the ending cinematic after the conference? Play the The Isley Brothers song Shout over it.

2. Change Lady Gray's final line to "...we're going to pry every bit of information about Rularuu from that mind of yours and then [click] ERROR:THREAT_OF_BODILY_HARM.TXT NOT FOUND."

.

I think they could have done alot better with the finale, just my two cents.

Interesting thing I discovered in Both DA content and this one. I had AV option turned on when I was doing DA arcs and whild doing SSA7. During all of these arcs only two being were AV all others were EB. In DA arcs at Max arc Black Scorpion was an AV and as far as I know only AV in the whole arc. In SSA 7 in the first mission Ghost Widow was AV and she was the only one. Not even Ruladak or Wade-loser was AV's. Is there a bug in here? Or are Recluse lackeys get special treatment?.

Considering it has bugged for me twice now on two different characters, yeah I agree.

I thought it was good if not great. I was afraid it was going to be three very cluttered missions and was pleasantly surprised by the length. The wrap-up cutscene seemed a little perfunctory, yet it's hard to argue with a column of destroyers and going to space. What might have really sold the climactic fight for me is a cutscene of some Warburg missiles hitting the island's shield and collapsing it, but obviously that's easier said than done and really that mission was plenty cool.

Overall, a neat new direction! For whatever flaws Who Will Die? has, it trounces most other content in the game. It also cleverly gives us something to look forward to on a more regular basis than issues alone. They certainly have me interested in what the next arc will bring.

Every time I see these Rularuu balls, I think of this.

I find your lack of signature disturbing.

I'm still laughing over the end of the first mission. I'm standing there in my crab spider armor, talking to my own freaking patron, and he's earnestly trying to make sure I'm cool with working with Arachnos...

A fun arc, and it's nice to actually feel like the protagonist again after the "sit back and watch the NPCs do stuff" of #s 4-6. I'm not looking forward to trying to run it on my mastermind, though.

Well I just finished the arc on my hero (haven't done villain side yet)...

It was okay...

Loved the 'moon island' map though

And what did my hero get from saving the world?! A Sting of the Manticore: Dmg/End recipe....really?!? Not even a PvP proc? :P

Okay, I'm NOT going to say that the end of SSA1 makes all the crap in the previous installments more bearable.
It doesn't.

That being said, the visuals in this issue were gobsmacking. This is where the money's been going people.

Now if the storytelling (and especially the marketing wonks) can catch up, it's all good.

I think that's because Vanguard took over running the show.

And the world didn't even see you do it.
I imagine there could even be some people who doubt your story.

"So this person just happens to be the only one to see Statesman die, as well as being at the scene of his Alexis Cole's and Sister Psyche's murders and then just happens to be the one who fights this "Darrin Wade," allegedly in space where no one can see it?"

Oh the conspiracy theories this would generate in-universe...

I actually turned flight off so that I could run up the battleships. So cool.

hehe yeah I can see that too

But one last point before work...

In the mission where you go to the Shadow Shard and have to 'rescue' Scirocco....

Why can't we target him?! GRRR....

When I entered the mission I did my keybind, "/bind e targetcustomnext Sci" and went all over the map (and inside the ball/chantry) and never got a hit.

So I went around again trying to stay low to the ground (was SJ'ing around last time)....

Then finally saw him when I entered the Chantry/ball on the left side....

GRRR....really?!

Loved the last map...
Watching Earth from there was just too awesome.
Nice job on it.

I so wish that that last cutscene of Wade and Lady Grey had sound effects... just to hear his choked-off gurgling scream as the screen abruptly goes black.

Yeah, baby.

And a cutscene of ALL the nukes going up at once? Would have been epic. Especially with your character standing there looking up as they launch, coz you could practically HEAR yourself thinking, "INCOMING!!!"

Just say to yourself "EVERY nuke in Warburg."

Think about the island being shrouded in a cloud of hydrazine fumes for the better part of an hour or more. Then, when they clear, the charred hamburger of an island remnant has been found to have raised a few inches from it's previous height above sea level...

Also I just noticed/realized, the tanks on the Warburg mission have no offensive capabilities.

Tanks that do no real damage and just exist to sit there and be attacked.

So...is this like a mental block the devs have or something?

I loved the mission, there are a few things that annoyed me though.

It would have been nice if in the ocean the Rularuu had actually attacked the ship. I spent 10 min running around looking for them to kill them.

There should have been a badge at the end. I chose not to take any help (I am an incarnate after all), a badge would have been nice.

Even w/o the badge for not taking help, some kind of badge for completing all of the arcs would have been nice.

It was the climax of a 7 part story, and it was all in all a good story. I just think there should have been a better reward for the first time completing the final mission. A badge would have been best I think.

SSA#1.7 needs a badge: "I'm in Space!"

Yeah, I loved the maps, both in that mission, and the one in the south Pacific.

Boss-level Sapper Tanks sounded a lot scarier in my head than they were in reality.

You could have knocked me over with a feather when Lord Recluse didn't betray me at the end. I would have bet money he was going to say something like, "Oh, and by the way, [expletive]head, remember that broken mask you handed me a couple of years ago?" *WHAM*

Although, speaking of betrayals? I see that, during his short time in Arachnos, Manticore did not learn the first rule of betrayal: beat them down first, then monologue. Seriously, dude, you have Ice Arrow. At least try to lock me down, at least make me blow a break free, if you're going to give me time to unpack and buff all six 'bots, and get three of my four main toggles up, before you fire your first shot. He was monologuing so long I was beginning to think the game was going to give me a chance to talk him out of it.

I have to say though: for someone wielding the power of Statesman, Sister Psyche, AND Rularuu the Ravager, Wadelaruu was a pushover. I had a harder time with Ghost Widow (who was repeatedly one-shotting my bots through soft-capped +def) than I did with him, at least, once I took away his Apocalypse Beam.
