I see where you're coming from, but I expect that the way most of us see it (based on information the devs have collected that led them to this resolution) is that "equality" in this case means "nobody is barred from non-gender-specific costume pieces". It's not equality as in "everybody gets everything", it's equality as in "everybody has access to things that can reasonably be expected to be desirable for both genders".

Or, more simply put, people who want metallic minidresses on men are not yet a market force - so this is the best way to make the largest amount of players happy. I do sincerely hope that it will lead to the unisex items that are currently female-only being ported to males also, but I didn't want to sully the thread by going "Hey, thanks! Now about all that OTHER stuff we wanted..."

Even if your last sentence wasn't a distortion, at least going by the forum response this change is far more desired than not.

You can never please everyone, especially if the options are exclusive to each other and each has its supporters.

Amazing, that's a lot of stuff added. Thanks for taking the time to go through with this.

If by any chance, you have more time in the future, would you at all be interested in going back to the steampunk, celestial, and gunslinger sets and adding new "Normal Color" options to the pre-tinted pieces?

Give this girl a raise.

Now if we can port over the carnival of light belt to males, so I can have a peacebringer looking belt like all the kheldian NPCs have, that would be awesome

I'm... unhappy with this. I know other people have brought up the "gender equality" card and already been beaten down for it because "everyone is happier this way."

I'm not. This right here basically means that females will get female-only parts, and unless there are "serious clipping issues," they'll also get all the male parts.

How about from now on, you just don't make any female-only costume options anymore and just make everything unisex? It seems that's the only possible way to get gender equality in this crowd.

So no more corsets, dresses, high heels, or other feminine pieces of clothing that you actually see women commonly wear in the real world? Some things just makes sense for women only to wear, that's how the world is. It's not like the artists are saying "We're gonna make an awesome hat for girls only" More like "This pack would go great with a dress in it, along with what we have designed for everyone." Much like the Pocket D pack was. I really didn't see many people, if anyone at all, clamoring for a male version of that Metallic dress women got.

Maybe someday guys will get the Carnival masks and sash, Chad.

I hope so, anyway.

Where do you live that you commonly see women walking down the streets in corsets? O_o

Thank you so much for this, and all the other parts! And if I can be cheeky... I don't suppose you can try to fit the hat that went with the Baron jacket into your todo list, could you? That hat is soooo awesome!

Feh. Not fair, then, even as pleased as I am to have the Baron coat for my female characters.

I was just making a point. Some pieces of clothing are just commonly seen as something feminine and what only women wear.

Actaully, to keep with the Carnival theme, men would get harlequin pants and a bucket on their head.

The part where it's not fair to those of us with a stable of predominantly male characters, and my $5 only buys my favorite characters 1 costume when it'll buy someone else 2, and we paid for the exact same thing...?

Males have 2 models, females have 1. Males get one set of clothes that works on both models, females get 2 sets of clothes that works on their only model.

Sounds pretty fair to me.

Not everyone is happier. That's apparent from this thread alone. But a lot of people are happier. More are happier than not.

"I never play villains. It's not fair that people who play both heroes and villains should get double the content when we're paying the exact same amount of money."

I dunno, man. It doesn't quite track.
