Who do you love inviting to your team?
Anyone with 20 or more veterans badges......
-Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. - Albert Einstein.
-I do not feel obliged to believe that the same God who has endowed us with sense, reason, and intellect has intended us to forgo their use. - Galileo Galilei
-When injustice becomes law, resistance becomes duty. - Thomas Jefferson
Admittedly, I employ that heuristic as well - at least in predicting or explaining someone's behaviour.
Any name I recognize. I'm bad with names, so when I see one that is familiar to me, it is usually a good thing.

As the OP said, it depends on which character I'm playing at the time. My Blasters love Tanks and Controllers. My Tanks love Blasters and Controllers. My Controllers love Tanks and other Controllers.
For a guy whoi loves Controllers as much as I do, I really need to run more of them.
All in all I think the best team contributors (not in this order) are Controllers, Defenders and Tanks. All three help out in obvious and inobvious ways.

Preferably people from MG's Taskforces, Brickhouse Chat, Antebellum Revolution, or my own SG/Coaltion. Those are my go-to channels on Virtue and if I can form a team without going outside that circle, it will be a good team. Don't care what people bring, really.
If I go outside that group then I still don't care what people bring, other than a good attitude. ^_^

People who aren't quieter than my mastermind's pets?
Controllers and Tankers are my two favorite team mates. Corruptors if we have a super tough AV coming up like Rommy.
But it's the fighting spirit that counts I guess.

Lion of Might - 50 SS/Inv/Eng Tanker - Darling Nikkee - 50 (+3) StJ/WP/Eng Brute - Ice Giant Kurg - 36 Ice/Storm Controller
Sonic Resonance springs to mind as a set that enhances just about any team.
And it's rare, because its a very support-y set, thats a pain to solo with and does little for the user themselves on a team other than drain their endurance bar.
But it adds a good defensive and offensive boost to any team, so I'm always happy to see one when I'm recruiting.
SoA's of any sort due to the buffs they bring.
People I know to be good.
People who can have a laugh.
I like teammates with little-used powersets or uncommon combinations. It keeps things interesting.
Kinetics, Soldiers of Arachnos, Tankers, and players that know how to read and listen.
I also enjoy seeing unique sets, like dark and ice tankers, sonic resonance players, etc.

Pfft, just wait, the Donkey Kong TF is nerfed in i22; no need to follow the rules anymore.
Back on point though, I like inviting:
1.) SG/alliance SG-mates
2.) Friends (real life as well as others that I've teamed with enough to know how they play for the most part)
3.) Random people that I recognize their names since I've played with them before.
4.) Anyone else (for the most part).

Cold Domination ATs for some reason although I would never play the set personally.
Characters who are weaker than me so I can decimate mobs more easily than them. Love being the only incarnate on a team.

Biggest brother played a Stone/SS Tank on my old family outings, so Kineticists were always pretty welcome. None of us had the inclination to build one ourselves. We also did a few theme based teams, and got a group of Rads to 50 on almost nothing in the way of enhancements. We actually liked when new people played on those teams to show them that the Trinity is pretty optional in the City.
Other people who knew what they were doing and did not go crazy the first time something took a little longer than they were used to because the other people playing actually had lives (and kids) were also very welcome.
11 months of all-nighters, messy feeding sessions, bath fighting and realizing just how good my son's lungs work, and I am still convinced he is the crowning accomplishment in my life. What in the blue HFIL is wrong with me?
Controllers or dominators.

Scarf_Girl: ever since I six slotted my Rp with cyber/emo Hami-O enhancements they haven't been able to touch me
Not asking which AT or powerset(s) definitively contribute most to a team, or which is objectively best - just which do you let out a 'whoop' over when they join your team?
I'm sure the answer will vary a lot depending on what you're playing at the time, or what your team composition is, but I also suspect there are a few core favourites out there. And not all of them will be Kinetics...
But as an avid teamer (albeit in an unfortunate time zone for teaming), I'm thinking I want my next alt to be a real team player.
