Known Issue

Winter Event New!

  • The Winter Event Trial may crash shortly after its conclusion. Players are advised to exit the event as soon as the trial is completed to avoid a rollback of their event rewards.

COMBINED

Login
  • Fixed a rare case where valid Account Name/Password combinations could be rejected.

Loading Screen
  • The loading screen tip for the City of Heroes Twitter account now has the updated @CityofHeroes account name.

User Interface
  • Setting UI colors/opacity should now properly save.
  • Saved UI positions should now load properly when creating a new character.
  • Corrected some text display glitches in radio and check boxes in the Auction House and Architect Entertainment UI.
  • Closing the Contact Finder window will no longer cause some text to be displayed at an incredibly small size.

E-Mail
  • Emails with influence attachments can now be returned to sender.

Paragon Market
  • Paragon Market should close properly after being disconnected.
  • Revive Power icon in the Paragon store now accurately indicates the item's number of charges.

Team Up Teleporter
  • The First Available option should no longer appear in tabs where only one trial is available.
  • All available buttons will light up as selected when using the First Available (All) option from the Incarnate Trial tab.
  • Characters who are not Incarnate should no longer be able to toggle the Incarnate Trial buttons in the LFG tab.

Incarnate Rewards - The Underground
  • It will be easier for all players to achieve the requirements for the guaranteed Rare and Very Rare table at the end of the Underground. Please remember, however, that this is only offered to players present and working with the league for the entire trial.

Incarnate Trial - TPN Campus
  • Telepathists are now immune to knockback, knockup, repel, and teleport, and highly resistant to intangible (phase).

Character Creation/Tailor
  • Naughty and Nice halos now have a tintable version. The original, nontintable versions are still available and are marked as "Legacy."
  • Fixed hand placement for males on the Celestial Rifle in the Beam Rifle powerset.
  • You can no longer lock up your upper body options by erroneously selecting Trench Coats with an existing back detail (such as capes).
  • Fixed a bug preventing costumes from being tailored if the character had Epic Mace Mastery and a weapon powerset.

POWERS

General
  • Beast run no longer plays grunt sound when jumping.
  • Fixed a ninja run/beast run backward animation loop.
  • Summon Warwolf from Undead Survival Kit long help has been updated to reflect that the pet will in fact zone with you.
  • Destiny/Incandescence powers should now apply properly adjusted effects in PVP.
  • Stalker/Energy Aura/Disrupt: Fixed a typo in this power's long help that referenced Repulse.
  • Stalker/Ice Armor/Hide: This power's customization options should no longer reference the willpower set.
  • Defender/Thermal Radiation/Plasma Shield: Fixed a bug that stated this power accepts Corruptor Archetype Origin enhancements.
  • Tanker/Martial Arts: Cobra Strike, Crane Kick, Crippling Axe Kick, Dragon's Tail, Eagle's Claw, Storm Kick and Thunder Kick are now all slottable for Taunt IO sets.

Alpha Slot
  • Fixed an issue where changing between two Alpha powers with the same bonus could cause that bonus not to function until the character changed zones.

TASKS

General
  • Mender Lazarus should now be the appropriate level on The Pilgrim's mission "Defeat source of Shivan attacks."

Freedom Tutorial
  • Reduced the number of Shivans to kill from 4 to 2.
  • Made it easier to defeat the initial Shivans

Grandville Patrons
  • Fixed an issue where Scirocco and Ghost Widow would tell players to come back an an incorrect level after finishing their first arc.

Consignment House / Black Market
  • Certain Inspirations which could not be obtained in game have been removed from the Consignment House / Black Market.
  • Items which are Account Bound and cannot be traded to others have been removed from the Consignment House / Black Market.
  • Any existing Buy orders for these items which were placed prior will remain available for players to cancel and reclaim their Inf, but new orders cannot be placed.

Same. But not the first one I logged in on. My second one, a Hero-aligned Bane in Talos halfway to Vigilante.

The inspiration tray seems to still wander, but it isn't consistent - I've had it move twice today already out of maybe 5 re-zones.

While you're busy making them immune to everything, could you maybe look into their ability to debuff def by half just by looking at you?

Some nice fixes and updates. But there was one I didn't see for the TUT...

Dunno 'bout anyone else, but I've never ever been able to get the "join in progress" option to work. I've done it a couple times with DFBs (and one UGT) where I know for certain that one is in progress and NOT locked... but was unable to join.
Has this been looked into? or am I missing some "trick" to it?

The last I heard, Join In Progress only allows you to join a Trial that is in progress IF it falls below the Minimum required for the Trial.

Since I don't team, I can't verify if that is the behavior it's using. I'll have to trust what we were told at the time they were testing TUT.


If the game spit out 20 dollar bills people would complain that they weren't sequentially numbered. If they were sequentially numbered people would complain that they weren't random enough.

Was the opacity issue around while pohsyb was still here? Since he checked in his last code at Paragon in February I was thinking the opacity issue came after he left.

As for Incandescence threads ... you failed to mention that it was the same thread from the same poster every few days, even after a redname had announced it was fixed in an upcoming patch (apparently this one).

Sure it can.

If a trial is close to the minimum and enough players drop from the trial, it doesn't immediately end (or isn't supposed to at least).

There is a hidden timer that begins that allows for the possibility that someone crashed or just disconnected and is coming back into the trial.

If they haven't returned by the time that timer runs out, and no one is in the JIP queue, then it ends the trial as having too few members.

If someone is in the JIP queue and selects to enter the trial, it continues as long as that brings it above the minimum.

If several people disconnected or crashed and the addition of people in JIP queue doesn't bring it above the minimum, the trial ends as having too few members.

This is the way it was explained by some of the Dev team or OCR team in Pocket D one night when they were testing some of the early trials. I can't recall for certain who gave the explanations, but I'm thinking it was a combination of answers from Black Scorpion, Positron and possibly someone from QA. Me memory may be faulty since it was so long ago, so I can't be certain of who it was. If I'm wrong, hopefully someone with a better memory of that night will correct me as to who was answering what that night.

  • Telepathists pacify was incorrectly debuffing defense by 5% due to a decimal error. It has been corrected to debuff defense by 500% in a future build.



(5%, per Telepath, stackable, with infinite range, and unresistable, seems slightly high to me. Where's the 10% unresistable stackable resistance debuff? Oh yeah, I forgot what game I was playing for a moment.)

Yay! I haven't tested this yet, but my Robotics/FF/Mace Mastermind should be very happy now!


Aside: my costume colors seem to be randomly choosing either SG mode or non-SG mode each time I zone. As bugs go, I can totally live with this one, as long as nothing else randomly switches (trays, colors, pets, etc.) it's fine.

New Bug:

The Inspiration Window randomly closes (if docked to the action bar) or "wanders" to the center of the screen (If not docked to the action bar) on changing zones, entering missions, etc.

When the file was updated to save window opacity, it's clear to me that SOMEONE forgot to make sure it also *kept saving* all window positions. This might be because the "read" function for the file assumes a certain file size and structure, or it might be that someone forgot to update the memory references to take into account the new data, and the wrong bits are being read.

Let's not forget to make Telepathists 95% resistant to damage, and give them 45% defense. Oh, and throw in an unresistable PBAOE on defeat with a radius of 500 meters, a couple thousand damage, and a target cap of 96.

You know, I havent even run this trial- but - I find it somewhat lousy that this list of not oft used, but rather interesting powers would get the immune treatment. Really? no middle ground? No way to reward players for using interesting tactics to get around the challenge?

Again I havent played this trial, but my gut reaction was "hey someone found a use for repel! And wormhole!!" awww, i guess not. Back to obscurity with you tp foe!

I see that the developers are upset that the players aren't playing the exact way the developers have intended yet again.

Note to the developers: You have yet again fallen into the trap that many new GMs have: the Killer Game Master.
