PC Gamer has a short but highly enthusiastic review of City of Heroes Freedom in their latest reviews:

I was a little surprised by them mentioning the character creator from another game (which is indeed more robust, though you have to unlock a heck of a lot of stuff for that to be apparent) but it was a good article over all. Here's hoping more people give CoH a try and stick around for the fun.

They're right about it being nice for F2P people.

It's a complete pain in the *** for VIPs.

No, you seem to nominated yourself for that. I don't think that it's a complete pain in the *** for VIPs. I rather enjoy the Incarnate system & the free points (when they finally show up). But yes... the issues you mentioned should most definitely be ironed out, it's not the best system at the moment.

If we complain, I mean, give feedback, it's only because we want CoH to be better still. The devs' receptiveness to our input separates this game from so many other MMORPGs.

There is a significant difference. And having been here for nearly eight years...I think I have a good handle on the level of quality I should expect from this game.

Also, a significant portion of the playerbase is getting old and grumpy.
