My thoughts on 'Who will Die'

Hmmm, let's see. Somebody from Freedom Phalanx will die. I have no idea why there would be any speculation about who it might be. Afterall, in popular media there is a tried and true formula for dealing with such situations. And it would be sooo easy to actually mention said formula here. But I don't want to be the first. It might tend to make me appear paranoid. But I'm very interested to hear the consensus, on which member of FP you think will be biting the big one.

I sincerely hope it's Synapse so we can replace his task force. I never want to run that again. ever.
But I have to if I want those precious extra hp...

Guys, I've used my new Time Manipulation powers and have been to the future.

The death is Citadel, and BABs takes his place on the Phalanx.

Also, invest in Cybus Industries. Something big is on the horizon.

I think it'll be the Longbow minion that joined the Phalanx when the LRSF was released. He'll die during part 6 of the SSA, prompting Statesman to make a speech.

If I were writing it, I'd go with Synapse, but being cynical, it'll probably be Sister Psyche.

Back Alley Brawler, Dev has left. Doesn't have a TF. No longer has a zone. And of course, the Black Guy always dies first.

I'd not say who I think it's likely to be, but I seriously hope it will be Positron.
It just seems like a bland character in a generic looking costume, that gained more importance in the lore, as the developer who created him gained standing in the company.

On the other hand, I hope it wont be Statesman, who will always be the face of CoH in my oppinion.

I've been taking guesses and so far BaBs is well in the lead, followed by Statesman and Manticore.

Dechs Kaison... You may accuse me of cowardice. But I guarantee you that if I, like Cactus Brawler, had just come out with it, somebody would then accuse me of racist paranoia. Not that I really think that CoH as a whole is guilty of that. It's just that the whole 'the black guy has got to die' has become such a standard trope in heroic fiction. That it becomes increasingly easy to fall back on. The fact that out of only ten replys, so far, only one of you has shared my suspicions, is actually encouraging to me. But the fact does remain, that Back Alley Brawler's Dev has left. He no longer has a Task Force. And his zone is toast. But as for me, I'm with Mallerick. If someone has to go... my vote is for Citadel.

I keep seeing "who will die" but does it actually state that it will be a hero? I haven't payed too much attention so I very well could have missed it.

Killing off one of the TF contacts could mean a replacement TF dealing with the events connected to the murder.

I'll say BABs....although I wouldn't mind seeing Citadel dying...then again; he's a robot (cyborg?) and can always be copied so that would be a lame cop out saying, "he's dead!" then, "he's alive again!"

So I assume they are actually going to kill someone...BABs...maybe Manticore.

Actually now that I think about it, there was a discussion about which zone was next in line for a revamp. My thought is that they should destroy Skyway City and revamp Steel Canyon or vice versa. The two TF contacts are Positron and Synapse. Posi got a TF revamp recently, but Synapse could use one. He would make a good candidate to get rid of.

I'm going to vote for Citadel or Numina. They're both second stringers in the Phalanx who people tend to forget even exist. Especially Numina.

Though Numina is technically already dead so I guess she might get a pass on that.

Honestly I expect them to kill more than one. Numina and ... let's go with Synapse. Why not.

I'm hoping for a Citadel death of all the Freedom Phalanx members, he's just somebody I don't want to see in future content and care for the least. Replacing his TF with Back Alley Brawler would be nice also.
