Question on Token/Points timing

i received my two tokens on Monday night/tuesday morning (as i said, i tend to subscrive at strange hours, so i normally give them a day or 2 to actually synch through)

No Paragon Points though, but as i had already recieved 400 for the month of September (and previous months), i figured that they replace the 400 that i would have recieved later on in the month.

Yeah, I'm kinda confused as well...

I hit T9 so my next 3 tokens were gonna get me those sweet celestial pieces...

So tonight I got paid and paid for $30 worth of points, since my account renews on the 2nd, so I wouldn't have to wait long for the third token.

Then I logged in and had... 3 tokens waiting?

What?

You got an extra token since this was your first purchase. Then you got 2 tokens for buying 2640 points. You are now only need to purchase 960 more points and you get anther token.

Aha, but it wasn't! I dropped $50 on the Paragon store the day i21 went live (so I could get those global costume slots) and got my freebie token then.

Looks like that "we are currently investigating" email is what they are sending out for this complaint. I got one of those on Thursday, and nothing since.

Aha, so far you've bought a $50 pack and 2 $15 dollar packs correct?

Add up all the points you've purchased and divide by 1200. that's how many tokens you should have. plus one token for making your first purchase.

You get 1 Token for every 1200pts purchased. Not every $15 dollars.

Is account renewal date & point allocation date the same? I thought we just got 400 free points on the 14th of every month.

Right. If you're buying enough to get extra bonus points, those bonus points count in the calculation of how many tokens you get.

I too am getting this problem. Resubbed, on a monthly basis, on the 21st, no tokens, no points as yet, and have a petition in the system. had 2 responses so far, first was asking for more details, like confirmation of zip/postal code and actual date of renewal, and the second was the automated 24 hour response message.

My account has been active, all baring 2 days where there was a snaffu with my bank early on in my subbing history, since 19th december 2007 with 2 retail codes +GR prepurchase. When the new system went live i recieved 19 tokens and 1600 point, which seemed right, then 2 days later another token suddenly appeared, bringing me to 20. about 19-20 was what i was expectin depending on when freedom when live ad before my sept bill date i was a 42 month vet and with my sept renewal would be a 45 month vet. Though i admit my calculations were just a rough guestimate. Everything i have read up till know since all this information reguarding freedom has been being put out, I too got that reward tokens, for multi month subs, would be awarded "up front" with the points awarded on the aniversary of the billing date.

There is also precident for reaward tokens being awarded on the billing day, as that is how the old system did it. if it is not awarded at the end of the cycle that makes no sence (to me at least) and is counter to how they have been working since vet rewards were first introduced and how they have been saying they will work ing future.

Anyway, with the weekend hitting I don't expect to hear back from CS till Monday. Will let you all know what happens.

Was just about to make a thread like this in Player Questions, thank you Search Function for actually working.

Account renewed on Sept. 21st, did not receive the Reward Token or the 400 PP I was expecting for the renewal. Wasn't sure if I should file a CS ticket for it or not yet.

Not sure if I'm glad to know other people are having the same problem or not.

Same date for me, no token. I got billed on the 21st.

Well here's another anomaly to add to the pile. I have two accounts, main one has 5 years worth of veteran badges, and the other is only 6 months old. I'm not sure how many tokens I was supposed to have coming in, but I'm assuming that was all correct.

Both are/were due to renew in September, the new one on the 21st (paying per month at the moment) and the old one coming up on the 28th (paying in six month blocks). The 21st rolls around, I get billed as expected, but no token or points. Where it gets strange is that my main account isn't due for renewal for another few days, but logging in today I get a mystery token waiting for me. I haven't bought any points on this account in a week, and I correctly got all the tokens I was due for buying points immediately so I wasn't owed any there. I also didn't get any bonus points along with this mystery token. Furthermore, my second account is still awaiting the token and points it is due.

So yeah, I'm completely confused...they're both on the same credit card, which I'm not sure makes a difference, but it still seems more than a little strange.

My renewal date is on the 22nd. Automatic payment from checking/debit card. Got my token but no points. I also haven't hit Tier 9 yet.

Just to add to the thread log. Billed on the 20th, waited till yesterday (24th) to start questioning because 23rd is when I'd tend to get the old vet reward badges awarded still no points or token. I havn't done a petition yet but that's only because 1, it's the weekend, and 2, I'll wait and see what they tell Caulderone.

Ok, got another reply today. They are apparently having a meeting in the next day to go over how the subscription awards (points/tokens) are supposed to be working.

After that has been covered/clarified, they will get back to me again with the correct/appropriate response.

So, possibly getting closer to understanding what is going on.

My date of renewal was yesterday. Didn't get any points. I am wondering if the referral program might have messed me up somehow, I have about three or four months worth of referral time on my account.

Have also raised a ticket about this. I'm definitely well past my 7 year bill date (24th) and have no "7 year vet" badge.

I'm also hopelessly confused by how many tokens I should have... I wish there was an official word on this.

The website says: 1 for every vet badge, 1 for every year, 1 for the retail box.

Post-live, it's 1 a month, 1 every year, and 1 for every 1200 points. I can't find mention of the "1 for your first purchase".

I was awarded correctly on go-live day. Then I bought a bunch of points, and passed my (7 year) bill date.

So I should have:
- Pre-live (81 months vet badge) = 81/3 = 27
- Pre-live (81 months vet badge) = 81/12 = 6
- Pre-live (retail box) = 1

That's 34 tokens at launch.

Post-launch
I bought 5920 points = 5920/1200 = 4
Within that should be a "first purchase" reward of +1
I also passed my 7 year bill date = +1 for another month, and +1 for another year.

Total tokens should now be 27+6+1+4+1+1+1 which is 41. Is that right? If that's the case, I'm also being diddled out of rewards...

ok, Had a reply from CS, won't post the full message here, but the basic answer is, paragon points for any sub renewal in september were awarded when the headstart launched. which would explian, I suppose the different award date for the last lot of points.

Paragon reward totens get awarded at the end of your current subscription, as the are awarded for time played, not time paid. so won't get my token for 21st sept - 20th oct till about 20th oct.

Just to add a data point to the discussion:

2 accounts here. One cycled on the 17th, one on the 24th.

0 reward tokens.
0 points.

I too would love to know what's going on... if nothing else, this has completely deterred me from picking up new items from the store for now. (I don't want to spend the points I have left if I'm not sure when I'm getting new points!)

Also, just for anecdotal evidence for the conversation, I can't seem to find anyone on Exalted who is positive that they have gotten any subscription-based rewards since launch. One or two vague impressions that they might have gotten a token and no points, but that's it. Obviously this is not clear evidence one way or the other (how do people not know how many tokens and points they had?), but just adding it in.

Just got my response back from support. The answer is we got our Sept supply early, and will not start getting the next points until October. Specifically, they said -

For this month you received these bonuses earlier than you usually would have done. You received your September rewards when Head Start began, instead of on your monthly subscription date.

Going forward from October, you will receive your Paragon Points on your game account’s billing date as long as you maintain the VIP status of your game account.

The part about the tokens is strange, though, as it contains no mention of the plan to reward when bulk months are paid for -

So, you get points AFTER the month, and that is adjusted up and down by what exactly? I'm guessing free time from the old "invite a player back" feature, or something like that?

You would think they would at least mention that this isn't what is supposed to happen, even if it is technically what is happening right now. Maybe calculating this mysterious "temporary block" is what is causing problems for pre-rewarding multi-month subs.

I certainly hope they meant monthly on your billing date, because if they actually mean at the end of my subscription, they are going to have a lot of really pissed off customers.
