I've always roleplayed that Shadow Guardinal has a condo in Galaxy City. I'm planning to have her be missing and seriously injured... maybe a classic memory loss scenario... not sure yet but not death.
Dude, she's been dead for... Wait, no, that's not what you mean...

My current main was midwifed into herodom by Galaxy City...he's going to die defending her and (via server transfer and rerolling) rise from the ashes reborn as a new AT. (Which will cannibalize his off server "corpse" for goodies as he re-levels up.)

I've considered starting fresh, although if I do it will likely be with 2 new characters on the VIP server. There are a few on virtue that I plan to get rid of, either by straight deletion or server transfers, so that I can roll something new. Among these would be Planet Smasher, Karma Kincaid, Zero for Hire, Grim Fandango, Sunrazer, Warrior Widow, Incorruptible, and Galvanized. Maybe a few others, but at some point they just need to go if you're not enjoying them.
They ALL float down here. When you're down here with us, you'll float too!

My one character who could be said to be emotionally attached to Galaxy City is a guy who thinks that his superhero career is actually a lucid dream. He'll probably shrug and figure that "those things happen in dreams" just like zombie invasions and a lot of other weird @#$%.
The devastation isn't quite as bad as you might expect, though there's some hand-waving about "reconstruction" to explain that away.
I start all my Hero characters in Galaxy City. They all call it home. But now I guess I'll have to run the tutorial to start them in Galaxy, or maybe just roll Villains from now on. That sounds like a plan.

I will be leading raids from Grandville looking for everyones stuff.
I haven't ever started a hero in Galaxy City even when I made a warshade so I guess none of my toons will be going down with Galaxy.
Cancel the kitchen scraps for widows and lepers, no more merciful beheadings and call off christmas!

All of my heroes have started in Galaxy. But none of them live there.
I'm not sure most of my heroes would live in any part of the city proper. Most of them effectively have no secret/civilian identity, and would basically "live" in their base/lair, which they wouldn't locate in a densely populated area. The ones that do have more normal homes live in Steel Canyon or Peregrine Island.

With the relaunch of the game I thought I'd make a fresh start for myself and dump all current leveling alts and move all but two 50s to a tertiary server (the two 50s will act as representatives of the "old guard" of Heroes/Villains. The Obi Wan Kenobis, if you will).
In addition to all that, my current main MA/SR Scrapper Daemodand will take a career ending injury in the Galaxy City Incident and live forever in the Galaxy City Echo in an unending loop of his early career when he first came to Paragon (reunited with the deceased love of his life Ms. Bush Ranger). His mantle to be taken up by his daughter when Staff Melee gets released. Staff/SR...mmmmmm. Um, what were we talking about? Oh, yes, what everyone is doing with their lineup of characters (if anything) when Freedom launches.
So the question will must be asked:
Who is going down with Galaxy City?
