Praetorian Earth Lord Recluse?

One of my random thoughts:

Since the Praetorian Earth version of Ghost Widow is alive, what if a Praetorian Earth version of Lord Recluse was "dead"?

Ideas?

Stefan Richter died at the Well of Furies.

If the game spit out 20 dollar bills people would complain that they weren't sequentially numbered. If they were sequentially numbered people would complain that they weren't random enough.

He is. Praetorian Cole killed him right after he gained the power of the Well.

Yes but...what if he's not really dead but actually "dead"?

'Cause that's how Tyrant rolls.

Couple people missed the point.

GW was mentioned and dead was in quotes because he was wondering if Stefan could exist as a spirit.

In accordance with the Praetorian Principle of Opposites, it would naturally follow that Ghost Recluse would be a friend to all children and the idol of ladies everywhere. I approve.

It depends - at the time, did Stephen have anything to not-die for? With GR it's dedication to Arachnos - at the time, the most dedication Stephen would of had would be either to Marcus or his sister Monica.

Well if Cole and Stefan both went to the Well...did they both get powers? If so was there a battle then in which Stefan died? Too many questions...

No, just Cole got powers. No battle so far as I know, sounds to me like it was sorta a backstabby thing either right before or right after Cole got his mitts on the Incarnate-hood.

Hello, ladies.
Look at Marcus.
Now back to me.
Now back at Marcus.
Now back to me.
Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped using ladies' scented water from the Well of Furies and switched to Old Spice, he could smell like he’s me.
Look down, back up, where are you?
You’re in the Underground with the man your man could smell like.
What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an oyster with two tickets to that thing you love. Look again, the tickets are now purples.
Anything is possible when your man smells like Old Spice and not a lady.

I'm wondering if Richter shows up as a blue glowie every night to Marcus and call's him a jerk, or flushes his slippers down the toilet every night or something. I think a bit of "playful" villainy would suit the undead Praetorian Recluse...

Also, we never found out how he died, now wouldn't it be E P I C to bring him back later having had Cole drown Recluse in the Well and make a dramatic return.

Impressive. Moooost impressive. But neither he nor the Old Spice Guy are as sexy as THIS GUY.

"How do you know you are on the side of good?" a Paragon citizen asked him. "How can we even know what is 'good'?"

"The Most High has spoken, even with His own blood," Melancton replied. "Surely we know."

On one of the missions I ran in praetoria I noticed an NPC comment about a Prisoner with Spider arms. I wish I had caught it but I failed to take a screen shot.

Now I might just run a few Praetorians just to hunt down that comment in a few days.

Or if the rumors of Richter's death were greatly exaggerated.

What if Richter DID receive powers from the Well, but was subdued by Cole and kept imprisoned? Think about what other signature superhumans have done: Reichsman kidnapped other alternate dimension Coles to feed his power. Lord Recluse, in the future, imprisoned Positron to power his "ultimate weapon". There's a precedent here for using other superhumans as Duracell batteries.

What if Praetoria's greatest shame was that their beloved Emperor was fueled, in part at least, by the ongoing powers and energy of his best friend, for all these years?

I thought it was Word of God, aka the Devs, that said Stefan is dead?

...or is he?

Dun dun DUUUUUUUN!!

I'd like to think that Lord Recluse is too major a character to have his Praetorian counterpart simply killed off. I know the devs said he's dead, but that may be a red herring to keep us quiet.

/em tinfoil hat

Perhaps while Cole was busy guzzling the Wells waters, a few drops landed on Richters corpse/mortally wounded body. Cole /em evillaughs and demolishes the island. However those drops of godjuice had revived Richter. He survived the islands destruction and was floating about in the sea. He picked up by the lackey mentioned in Recluses bio on the CoH website. Rather than kill the lackey, he thanks him and warns that Cole has gone loopy. Since then Richter has watched Cole rise to power, beat Hami, and essentially conquer the (now much smaller) world, and is now biding his time, waiting for the right moment to strike. I think Richter may yet have a part to play in Coles downfall.

I missed nothing, and I'd wager that neither did TJ. I also stand by my answer. Whether he's just dead or "dead," he's dead--Cole killed him.

Well, they also told us that Nemesis died a simple toymaker. I'd say Nemesis is at least as much a major character as Lord Recluse.
