Which content do you enjoy?

I thought this might help guide the devs in what the players like and do not like. It may also give players some real insight into what people do enjoy. So, I will get the ball rolling here.

TFs:
ITF; STF; the new Positrons;Lady Gray is ok; Tin Mage and Apex are decent; Twilight's Son is ok.

SF:
LRSF; Tarikoss is tolerable...kinda; Mender Silos is decent.

Story arcs:
I find a few fun to play but that's about it. They are repetitive maps/enemies and get stale quick even if the plot changes.

RADIOS/PAPER:
Rarely do them. Very cut and paste. Same thing over and over.

TRIALS:
I like the change in play style and mechanics. It'd be nice to see something non-Praetorian.

I enjoy teaming with people over vent. That has kept me going here for a while. The content is stale and it is tough to retain casual players.

Story arcs almost exclusively. I like to take my time, read the story, fight everything on the map, explore every corner and generally have free use of my time. Moreover, story arcs allow me to get into the story much better, thus improving my immersion. To this day, I still read all the stories, even though I can quote most of them from memory.

I'm not really sure actually...

-I had a few fun experiences in zone pvp (pre i13)
-I've messed around with bases.
-I've run more itf, khan, rsf, lgtf, apex and tin mage than I can count.
-I've been through Praetoria several times.
-I've dabbled in the MA.
-I enjoy making costumes with new parts.
-I have 4 characters with T3 or better in all 5 slots. 2 of which are fully T4d.
-I've run every major arc available at 50 too.

So what is it I enjoy most?
Having a good time with global friends doing whatever we feel like.

When I'm running solo I like to do story arcs, scanner missions, and tips. On some characters I'll happily while away a couple of hours collecting badges.

When teaming (almost always with the same guys) we do story arcs, scanner missions, tips, and TF/SFs. And sometimes the older (non-incarnate) Trials, or, more rarely, some AE missions. When teaming, for me anyway, the team is more important/fun than the content.

I haven't done a Hami raid in years. It's also been a while since I did a Mothership raid, but I'm more likely to jump in on one of those than a Hami raid.

Haven't done an Incarnate Trial yet, in part because I'm just not too keen on the Incarnate System - it clashes with my altitis - and also because they really don't sound like much fun. I'm sure sooner or later I'll get in on one.

Oh yeah - haven't done any PVP since I13.

TFs:
Anything I can solo or duo with a friend.

SF:
See TFs

Story arcs:
Most of them, but I can't stand Crimson or his friends arcs. Dull.

RADIOS/PAPER:
Useful for a brief gameplay session. Usually fun.

TRIALS:
find few fun to play. They are repetitive maps/enemies and get stale quick and the plot never changes.

I hate teaming with people over vent because i dont like finding out that my teammate Olympian God sounds like a 13-yr oldbwith a nasal problem.

MArcs:

The Echo, Arc ID 1688 (5mish, easy, drama)
The Audition, Arc ID 221240 (6 mish, complex mech, comedy)
Storming Citadel, Arc ID 379488 (lowbie, 1mish, 10-min timed)

I enjoy pretty much all content, but obviously the more dynamic it is and the less arbitrary requirements, the better.

I wish there'd be more reward incentive for playing at higher difficulties, as I'm weak-willed and will often return to the fastest path.

Enjoy:

STF
LRSF
LGTF
Apex (this is by far my favorite PvE content)
All 3 Incarnate Trials
Praetorian story arcs
Hami Raids
AE (both farming and doing legitimate stories)
Pre-I13 PvP (unquestionably my favorite part of the game, but alas...)

Dislike:
Literally every story arc, mission, task force, and trial from before I5
Mothership Raids (practically mindless, not to mention lag central station)
Sutter (if Duray wouldn't teleport quite so often I wouldn't mind)

* Incarnate trials. Especially Keyes' Island. Not the most efficient if you want the rewards, and the "stuck in geometry" bug is horrible, but otherwise really fun.
* The newer Story Arcs. Praetoria especially, but also the hero/villainside ones.
* TF's, ITF (although I've run it so muhc it gets abit stale) Admiral Sutter, LGTF, STF & LRSF, Posi, Apex & Tin Mage, Mortimer Kal... Even Ice Mistral can be pretty fun.
* Alignment/Morality missions. Although we need more of those.
* a lot of misc stuff, badging, designing costumes, etc. etc.

TFs:

Synapse, Citadel and Numina need to some updating. Numina only in the fact that I don't care for the hunting missions, but they don't tend to annoy me as I just have the team split off and take them down.

Shadow Shard TFs also could also use an update.

All the rest, I quite enjoy including the Incarnate TFs.

Trials:

Blueside Respec needs updated.

Incarnate Trials I enjoy as well.

Story Arcs:

When I ran them, I enjoyed the Hollows Arcs.

Enjoy the last two Croatoa Arcs (but one of the hunt missions annoys me)

Striga arcs kinda bore me outside of the first one.

Love the Maria Jenkins arc.

I like the Midnighter Access Arcs (on both sides).

But sadly a lot of the story arcs, I just don't find all that interresting...or rather I should say for the ones Ive ran through, for whatever reasons.

PvP:

Hasn't been the same since all the changes. I wasn't a hardcore PvPer, but I enjoyed it much more back then, when I felt like my melee toon had it's mez protection shield.

I enjoy ITF, Posi, STF, LGTF, occasionally a Citadel or Synapse. Honestly if you ask me to join any TF I am more likely to say yes than no. I do participate in MS and Hami raids when I need Vanguard merits or a Hami-O. I will do a trial or two occasionally, I'm not in a hurry, and will wait a week or two until the Live bugs have been addressed.
Story arc wise I love Croatoa simply because it looks so different from the other zones. I'd like the story to be a bit more resolved and I think the levels should be higher as the Red Caps are difficult and can be impossible on some AT's without a good team. I really enjoy the Vanessa Devore story although I'd love a reduction in street sweeping carnies. The story itself is nice and I was feeling a little sad when I had to defeat her at the end. I liked running Crimson and Indigo on my natural MA scrapper the enemies and story worked for her in an interesting way not being super powered herself. I love the variety of stories and ability to run stories and fight enemies that make sense for the hero or villain you've created.
I also enjoy inventions, marketeering, playing with builds, and badging on occasion.
I really love the new costume pieces from the boosters especially the magic bolero and steampunk skirt. The animal print patterns found in the animal pack are great too.
Customization is fantastic and the new auras, costumes, and animations look great. More like this please.
I love making alts. I am really into making alternate universe versions of my favorite characters on different servers. They have similar back stories but different powers and leveling experiences.
It pleases me greatly that, while writing, I keep coming back to this section to add stuff I enjoy.

Do Not Like: FX spam! The visual pollution is muddying the visual parts of storytelling in some content. I would love to have some old Fx retired or last briefly. Hasten, inspirations, leadership pools showing up briefly to let you know it's been completed and then Fx going away. I know people want options for these things but I think the art team needs to carefully look at the visuals with an editing eye and figure out ways to keep the game looking good and avoid Fx soup. Maybe having particle count scale down with team size is possible although I think that could prove to be very difficult to get it to look right and may be just more load on the server. A true no Fx option for all powers would really help. It would also be awesome to play an invisible hero who shoots invisible energy blasts. That would be cool.
We have enough female options for stripper clothes, would prefer more superhero and sexy yet elegant options. I love the new steampunk skirt but am not needing more tops with cutouts at this time.
DISCLAIMER: The following is from an ease of play and professional objectives perspective. I am not invested in the current forum battle. I would also say that some serious concerns like these have been raised before by other players and buried under a mountain of trials make me Leet vs. trials are unfair. Please give room for perspectives that are not about Trials are great/NO they suck crowd. There are some issues and ones that are solvable to the betterment of the game and player experience of the game. Thank you.
I don't like that I feel it's wise to wait to run the trials until multiple fixes have been put in place. That being said; if I look at them critically in comparison with some other games I've played and not emotionally invested in end game vs. solo; the final fixed products will probably not help much with retention of premium players going VIP. If latency issues at their current level, client crashes for consumers running at default settings, and unclear visual cues remain I can't see a returning player thinking it's worth their time and money. I personally need to be able to see my team and league mates buffs while I'm playing support and do not think I am effective in my controller and defenders when having to do without that info. I think the end game has enormous potential for trials, TF's, and small team arcs and trials but currently implementation is not at near the quality level of the newer TF's. I think our dev's need to address these issues first before any changes to the current system occur. I understand there is a learning curve here and vast improvements have been made. Trials need to be runable on default settings by players running at minimum system requirements for maximum retention of new and returning subscribers. The closer we get to this goal the better off we will all be as a player base and the more likely we will be to get even more new cool stuff in all areas.

I enjoy street sweeping and hunting explore and defeat badges.

I enjoy playing "paper dolls" ... Basically I love the costume creator.

I enjoy farming and power leveling (giving or receiving) because I find it relaxing. Also because I love implementing builds I have planned.

I enjoy a few story arcs but not many. I basically never do them anymore at all unless an arc really fits a character concept.

I like newspaper and scanner missions the most. They are relaxing and easy and dont suffer from difficultt bloat (or creep) like all the new content does.

I find tip missions borderline. They suffer from difficulty creep and in-mission objective tedium.

I dislike trials and task forces almost universally. I find the ITF and the BAF and Katie Hannon to be tolerable (due to repetitiveness, simplicity, and speed respectively) but otherwise loathe all such content.

I loathe PvP.

Mission/TF wise:

There are some arcs I enjoy just because they're interesting arcs (the Freakylimpics, for instance.)
The Eden trial, while not much thought has to go into it, generally has enough going with the unique setting (and how rarely I run it) for me to enjoy it.
And some arcs that have a specific challenge - I'll tend to try to run Croatoa JUST to see how few fir Bolg escape, for instance (I have had zero escapes a couple of times) and, with some powersets, to see how cheaply I can "win" the final mission (Grav/Kin - just keep Wormhole-ing a LT and chucking him across a map, or my Fire/Storm which just hurricaned stuff into a corner for a while.)

Non mission/TF wise:
The character creator. Nearly 300 alts. yeah, the character creator.

RP. Not ((Virtue-like)) or ((particularly strict,)) It tends to weave in and out of character, wander over to writing with friends, etc
.
Personal "goals" - I had "One of each AT to 50" before, I'm one control set away from "One of each control set to 50" (and that one has a ways to go - level 24,) and I've got most MM primary powersets "complete" (32) though not to 50. And a few personal character goals that have nothing to do with the "X type of power to completion/50" - like getting alternate versions of one of my characters finished.

The GOOD:

TFs & SFs*ITF (still the best TF in the game)
*Eden Trial (just epic)
*LGTF
*Katie Hannon (Croatoa) TF (I deliberately didn't say KHTF as many may have forgotten that piece of content...)
*New Positron
*Hess TF
*Apex and Tin Mage
Then
*Villain Respecs
*Operative Renaut SF
*LRSF
*Ice Mistral

The Incarnate raids

The Tip Missions

The story arcs introduced after the arrival of Dr Aeon

The AE...still...

THE BAD:

DR Q TF and most of the shard TFs

Citadel TF

Mayhem/Safeguard missions, though they are under-rewarded and a bit stale by now, the principle is spot on, I'd love to see more of this sort of thing.

"One Good Spider"/"Home Town Hero" Morality missions, theme is bang on, they feel really good, and the reward makes it even better.

Mortimer Kal (If you could start it solo) I padded to start it but really enjoyed it as a solo arc, rewards made it all the more sweet.

Some of the Praetorian 1-20 arcs (For the 15 mins I could play in Praetoria without crashing) I'd love to do that kind on content on my 50s/Incarnates

I loathe most of the TFs and trials, though the 3 trials we have would make good mission arcs.

Really looking forward to First Ward and the Signature Arcs

Most all of it.

Not big on trials yet.

TFs:
Not interested. I've completed two TFs, but that was years ago.

SFs:
Not interested. I've never done any.

STORY ARCS:
Yes! This is where I spend most of my time. I also enjoy doing a lot of the miscellaneous missions given by the same contacts.

RADIO/NEWSPAPER/SAFEGUARD/MAYHEM:
Somewhat interested. Just to unlock contacts though. They used to help me get past mission content gaps, but those gaps have since been filled.

ALIGNMENT MISSIONS:
Somewhat interested. They seem a bit bloodthirsty for my tastes though. Even my villains aren't killer types.

TRIALS:
Very not interested. I've never done any.

RAIDS:
Very very not interested. I've never done any.

MISSION ARCHITECT:
Somewhat interested. I design some of my own missions for certain characters. I've been doing that lately for my level 49 Energy/Energy Blaster.

ZONE EVENTS:
Not interested.

PVP:
Haha. No.

I need my content to be solo friendly. My teaming in this game has been very rare.

everything really, outside of pvp which i dislike and base designing, which i dont have the talent/patience for. but other than that, some nights its tips, others its classic hero startup, other times its alt heroic startup (striga, hollows, cro) papers are fun and i love mayhems and safeguards. I like trials because they are fast, have lots of enemies to stomp, and with the large groups i get in on more combinations of team chemistry. even a cop when i can find one, though my current work schedule conflicts with my home server's main time for it. but im pretty much Go with the flow. everything is fun in its own right and i play without pressure to grind this that or the next thing. now i dont make any kind of crazy progress, If i want to "achieve" i'll go lift weights , i play to have fun and relax.

heck, some nights i just craft and market and tell horrible, horrible puns on the server channel. amazed they haven't banned me for them yet.

3. street hunting (especially Perez Park and Boomtown)
4. Eden trial
5. Sewer Trial
6. New Positron 1&2
7. Soloing the old Ouroboros Positron
8. ITF

Story Arcs - This is what I do the most.
Scanner/Newspaper/Tips/AE/Flashbacks - Do them occasionally for variety, or if I happen to need merits/tickets/whatever.
Mayhems - *Love* going around blowing stuff up. That never gets old.
Zone Events/Giant Monsters - The best kind of teaming, short and sweet.
Costumes - Always make a point to unlock all the costume slots, love messing around in the costume creator.
Badging - Went through a period where I was going after them pretty intently, but I kind of burnt myself out. Still usually go after the easy ones like Exploration.

Don't care for Trials, TFs, or PvP.

I think the things I enjoy in this game fall into 4 categories:

* Running around smashing people in the face without needing my brain at all. I can do this on almost any mission, teamed or solo, as long as the enemies are dense enough, I'm playing the right character, and things don't get so difficult that I need to resort to thoughtful things like tactics.

* Talking to friends. Nothing much the devs can do about that one, but it's worth mentioning.

* Being involved in stories. Moving slowly, reading clues, making decisions about what my character does, what powers and costumes I have, etc. It all ties in to story and imagination. Sometimes the AE, though not much lately.

* Math. For whatever reason, there are parts of the game that are basically just math, and sometimes I enjoy them (and other times I'd rather turn off my brain and stab). For me, the market is usually where I head when I want to use math, data analysis, etc. Tweaking my build is similar, but usually less fun for me.
