Giant Shivan

Considering this is Praetoria, I think this is the Hamidon Seed they were talking about in the new magic Praetorian zone.
Now we just need to figure out what the Hamidon has to do with magic, or to quote one of the developers when this was previously suggested: "The Hamidon is a what what of what?"
Samuel_Tow is the only poster that makes me want to punch him in the head more often when I'm agreeing with him than when I'm disagreeing with him.

No, it's a giant shivan. The filename on the site is giant_shivan_01.jpg
A seed looks like this :

It's a Shivan, in what's left of Galaxy.
You can see the deactivated War Wall in the background of several shots.
Surprise. We're getting a model and texture facelift to many buildings in the Primal zones.
I expect they did this while adding the contest winning player created billboards.
.
So it looks like Galaxy gets a fancy revamp with new buildings and upgraded textures.
Then it gets blown to hell.
Sounds backwards to me!
Missed opportunity:
It appears Shivans constitute themsevles with whatever matter is nearby where they land.
In Bloody Bay they assimilated corpses from the graveyard and nuclear fallout.
Here they've assimilated scrap and debris from the destruction.
It would have been cool to have a giant abomination made out the smashed hero statues of Galaxy Girl, Orion, M1, etc; but with the body parts freakishly in the wrong places. So it's got like Orion's head for a fist and someone's partial torso for a foot, etc.

With a limited number of statues in Galaxy, this sounds like something for a Giant Monster fight than a regular mob spawn.
So there could be nothing missed here.
I inferred that this wasn't Galaxy City because none of the buildings in any of those screenshots are actually IN Galaxy City and I didn't think the destruction of a zone could deposit new buildings in it. If we ARE getting a revamp of existing zones, though, that could be interesting. Something tells me we aren't, and this is just for that one zone.
Also, I apologise for not looking at the file name of an inline image.

61866 - A Series of Unfortunate Kidnappings - More than a coincidence?
2260 - The Burning of Hearts - A green-eyed monster holds the match.
379248 - The Spider Without Fangs - NEW - Some lessons learned (more or less.)

Go look behind Galaxy's current City Hall.

"Wait until you see Atlas Park".
Frankly, if they're going to revamp Atlas Park, I want the 'original' Atlas statue with the hollow wireframe globe to replace the current one. It would look great casting Ultra Mode shadows.

EDIT:
. An all-new tutorial will introduce new players to Paragon City and the Rogue Isles like never before, and lets heroes and villains choose their archetype independently of their alignment. Atlas Park gets a tremendous visual makeover, and both Atlas Park and Mercy Island have all new mission content to give great reasons to create a character for veteran and new players alike. In addition, a new low level Sewers Trial for both heroes and villains lets you team up with other starting characters to take the fight below street level. |

om ock i gyllne dosor.
Och rosor i ett sprucket krus
r stndigt alltid rosor."

It does prove it's Paragon City, though, that much I should have noticed. Praetorian statues are bronze, I think.
The Producer's letter says we're getting a Galaxy City tutorial, a revampled Atlas Park and also revamped low-level missions for Mercy and Atlas.

I have, since making that post, read that they're looking to revamp Atlas and Mercy, as well, and I don't know if Galaxy will remain an open zone with an instanced tutorial like Breakout, or if the zone will be scrapped and used only for a tutoria (this seems unlikely with a full redesign).
My point remains, unfortunately - we'll see a revamp of the starter zones, but the rest will remain unchanged. I guess it gives us time to evaluate the changes, because I still prefer the old Faultline geography over the new one. But the old city vistas are kind of... Meh, I'll admit. Buildings are WAY too far apart for it to look like a real city.

Currently on Virtue:
Jinrazuo - Crab Spider
RWZ All-Pylon Solo Run
my understanding of this and what was mentioned in the ustream today was that galaxy city IS going to be the new tutorial, it will essentially be a co op and upon completion of the tutorial will allow the player to choose an alignment and go to atlas or mercy
they also said that atlas and mercy will be getting some graphical makeovers as well as contact/story makeovers (for example the new intro mishs will be able reclaiming fort darwin from longbow and will not start you in the fort but outside the fort when you exit tutorial)
So, what happens to the Destined Ones lore?
