THE LEAGUE: Season 1
Haha, you made a trial account just for this? That's adorable :3
The Melee Teaming Guide for Melee Mans
Hey now. While I certainly appreciate everyone's outrage at people dissing the virtue server, I don't think we need to get so nasty! This is creating a toxic environment! I love virtue too, but what makes virtue so great is that unlike some servers we are truly heroic at heart!
Don't worry, maybe we can one day have our own Virtue server league and show these champion guys how we roll
I laughed, I cried, I laughed some more. Thanks!
Space reserved for a super awesome Signature, someday...
What's the basis for this statement?
Are you actually saying that you are of the belief that the current players on Champion, or specifically, players in this league are comparable in skill to the players of the past? |
Nobody else here posting has to make a trial acct to post (in your case troll) a thread. Logic would dictate that it's your elementary school mentality and ignorance having to use the slurs that in your circle is considered 'witty'.
I'm quite certain the most special thing about you is that extra-chromosome you were endowed with upon conception. In conclusion, continue with your aimless rambling and mindless banter as I'm certain you will. Don't let it interfere with your e-love life though. I'm gonna go eat and try to get fat

It's my understanding that the majority of the players participating in this league are new to pvp and many of which have no experience outside of the pvp bootcamp recently hosted on champion. I would hardly consider them elite or experts by any means in that case. Furthermore, The rules and guidelines set for this league are dramatically more restrictive then the standard recognized rules to ensure a more newbie friendly environment which makes this league way more casual and less competitive then leagues past. being one of the veteran pvpers on this server I can honestly say that the skill level across the board when it comes to most of the players participating (myself included) is no where near past leagues. Your lying to yourself if you believe it is.
Also, just for lulz, please name off some of the “elite pvpers” participating, chances are it’ll probably be someone that I have known for quite a while now. A lot of them will probably be the first to admit they while they are skilled, many people with much more skill have come before them.
You know, in the boot camp, I almost felt disappointed there was no "trash talk" class, however, this thread seems to work out for that just fine.
Nice to see the PvP uber-munchkins are finally back on the tolling wagon. It should make reading in here very intertaining.

I never compared this league to any leagues of the past, so no I'm not lying to myself. It has more to do with having some elite there to learn from and scrimmage or team with. I am aware there were some 'elite PvPers' to which are no longer playing the game. Albeit a shame they are gone, things since i13 have really made it less enjoyable for them I'm sure. Time goes on and games change (evolution or devolution) arguing this would be semantics and really get us nowhere positive.
I refuse though to participate in a debate of this person is better than that person. If you'll notice part of the rules in this league were implemented to avoid such negativity as it's counterproductive and achieves nothing worthwhile. I am glad that as a veteran PvPer you and others decided to participate in this league, and didn't consider it something 'beneath you'.

I sure am glad that things are more peaceful in here!
PS: for the record, I heard that the "elite" PvPer that still plays this game went to virtue.
Because i'd heard that all the very elite PVPers had left this game. If there's any left i'd like to know.
Who are the very elite PVPers on Champion? No drama. Just curious. |
Also, I'm not sure if Liberty's being sarcastic, but yes, I do RP. And yes, I could outcall anyone in the league. That's not even a matter of debate.
It's like those old NFL guys. I hear one old runningback could run a 5.0 40-yard dash if he got a 10-yard head start. That's fast. I mean, today's 300lb linemen run faster that that if they stop in the middle for a cheeseburger, but those old guys were the only good players ever, amirite?
Sure, there were some good PVPers waybackinnaday. Then some of them left. Maybe all of them left. Who cares? They didn't PVP with today's builds and rules. They got all sad and left because i13 happened and what they liked to do suddenly didn't work anymore. Wah. Now people have incarnate powers and builds filled with very rare recipes that exemp down. More wah. Adapt or fail or go away.
I know that new PVPers have a lot to live up to, given the skill of those that came before them. I mean, I hear that those old PVPers had callers who could find a target and tell their teammates who that target was over Vent, then countdown for a teamwide damage spike. That's some impressive skill right there. I don't know if anyone could ever live up to that standard. Then someone told me that they hit 1-2-3-4 for their attack chain? Man, I know I couldn't go toe-to-toe with that. It takes mad skill to hit all four of those buttons, one after the other. Will we ever see that level of talent again? Not a chance, but we can hope, right?

As for the rest of your post: Just because PVP is easy for US, doesn't mean it would also be easy for YOU.
Wuz just messing, most of my active pve toons are on Virtue so I'd be the last person who could talk. RP or not, doesn't change the fact you're still probably the best rad/caller I ever teamed with, even if it was just mostly for KB.

Aside from Void and Lib, I consider Artic and Enigma to be elite PvPers. These are just the people I've seen PvP and a few of them I've known and seen PvP for years.

Vinny could rad very well, I won't deny that. But I would not use the word "elite" for anyone, from any time period throughout this game. Not because they werent great, but the term "elite" is just gay. Artic is good, and Void was also good. Good luck with this league and drama.
That's not entirely true. Let's be honest, though. The only reason you don't care is because you've never and will never win one. Sorry. You're just too bad at an easy game.
You're fat.
You're a fat tryhard. _/
You're probably rocking a disability yourself. In the beautiful work of art, you were being asked by a really, really mad, really, really fat kid to join his. Lrn2Rede.
Champion server needs to put down the twinkies. If you ate a more balanced diet and stayed well hydrated, you'll find that you feel better than when you eat your usual combination of deep fried mayonnaise balls and dick. Maybe then you wouldn't rage so hard while trying but failing to be clever.
Stay sweet.
