I'm quite surprised that Xanatos was taken seriously. After all, you dismissed me as a Roleplayer from Virtue. Xanatos is in fact THE Roleplayer from Virtue. The rule of thumb is that Roleplayers do not make for good PvPers, isn't that right?

Well, it's quite unfortunate that it is the way it is. I can assure you there would be teams willing and ready to practice or KB's there for you to join.

As for the last man standing, the only rules would be simply arena typical (No HD/TS/DR and small insp) Essentially, a team of 8 would fight the other teams of 8. Elimination style, first player from either team killed is out and then it becomes a 6v6, 4v4 and so on. The last 3 players to survive would win something (a 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively). The last two would have it out over the final biggest prize. It'll be good fun.

I don't fully agree, and we don't have to (that's the beauty of opinions). How you can say you won't bring yourself or even Xan to join the free agents (even if out of good faith) but only will come if you can bring a full team isn't an ultimatum. Then not only do our opinions vary, but also definitions of the term. As I said, you are no more right than they are wrong if that's your stance. Whether I agree, does not mean I don't respect it, make no mistakes about that.

There are no RPers on Champion for any of them to have a reference for it, Vince.

One thing is certain. You guys asked to join the league with a team. You were denied and asked to join as free agents. You declined to do so. Neither side is going to give ground, so that's pretty much the end of that.

Bringing an active team to practice against teams in the League was my middleground that I've stepped forward to offer, in that it considers the fact that the League's organizers simply do not want us participating as a team, and also considers that my team wants to play together.

Wanting to play with the group of friends that I am familiar with and have a rapport with is not a bad thing, it is not wrong, and was a big portion of what made Test Server so much fun for years before League's like this were brought to the forefront.

I am in no such position to even offer an ultimatum to begin with. I thus far have stepped forward with some form of compromise, but cannot act on it because good faith with the playerbase and organizers in this league does not seem like a viable option to go with. I might be a dick, but I'm certainly not naive, and I'm definitely not stupid. Lack of stupidity has more than likely earned me the ire of several posters in this thread. C'est la vie.

That's the beauty of sarcasm, Myrm. The assumption has always been made that RPers do not in fact make good PvPers without any point of reference to begin with. But then again, no one ever took me into account either.

I've actually enjoyed your posts in this thread because of that. Usually forum PvP is dumbed down and boring I mean how many times does "your fat" or "your bad" work.

Hehe, I never said how the teams of 8 will be designed or who they will face. I've done this tournament before and at the very least it was a lot of fun.

It was never stated that you are any of the above. And your team should be able to play together, again I said I hope that you guys will as we would all benefit in the long run even if it was just KB's or practice. I can assure you many teams from this league (strongest to weakest) would benefit and enjoy you coming over. They will practice and KB with you I am 100% on that.

P.S. If I considered you 'stupid' I wouldn't waste my time responding.

Yeah, that's what I'm implying. If HP invents the phrase "get wrecked" and then tells people to stop using it, it's done.

I'm the guy that told -MaX that his voice sounded like he permanently had a jar of pickles wedged down his throat. You know that the mudslinging that I embedded in people's minds is old when I'm back to trying to reason with people again.

I do miss Felonious though, he was always fun to belittle.

Vince, now's the time to tell everyone thanks for their time, wish them good luck and move on. Maybe next time, you guys will actually get the word. I am surprised you were not looked up for this, to be honest, by the guys that did join the league. Let me tell you from experiance that, at this point, you can talk and insult until you're blue in the face and it will change nothing. You're just wasting your time now.

Posting in a thread isn't a crime. Especially if several recent posts have been completely unrelated to the discussion that took place. Let me tell you from experience that I was aware from the beginning that nothing was going to change. When has that ever stopped me?

If you're trying to excuse me from the thread, do so in a less condescending manner. You've had that attitude with me for years and it's starting to grate on me now.

If you find my posts to be that irritating, inflammatory, unreasonable and hard to deal with, put me on ignore. I won't be offended.

It's certainly possible that I misconstrued what Myrm said, but having dealt with their psuedo-passive aggressive comments before in the past, I can justify it. It's irritating because I've given the player nothing but respect.

That's just Myrm. I certainly wouldn't let it grate on me, it's all in jest. He's a great sport about return to sender. But the last thing you'd ever wanna do is elude to the fact that it even nearly grates on you. All in fun

My 2 cents...

At least we have a form of entertainment between matches and that would be reading through this thread!

And it seems to me a few people dont know the difference in a ultimatum and a compromise (Vinny). Generally speaking, an ultimatum involves some sort of threat. There's been no threats issued that I've seen. To be threatened with a course of action, you first must be involved with whatever is being discussed. Since you and your team are not in the league, nobody here can give you an ultimatum or threaten you in any way.

The leagues stance as I understand is that its closed. Period.

You want to join said league.

The LEAGUE did make a compromise and offered to allow you to join as free agents AFTER the league was closed. That's a compromise. They decided to bend the rules to allow you and others A METHOD in which you can join. YOU on the otherhand only seem to be happy if the compromise met your requests...which is to be allowed to play as a full team....together.

Compromise doesnt mean fullfilling the other persons wishs. So as I read through this, it seems to me YOU'RE the person whos not willing to compromise, not the other way around.
