I too can make arbitrary arguments. I forbid you from wearing the Incarnate armor because your name starts with G.

Also let's make it so you're not allowed to use tech costume pieces unless you're tech origin.

Gee. Thanks. Wonderful stuff. Not like it's our damn primary or anything...
FWIW I think the increased end costs for MM buffs make sense. The way I see it it it's an anti-zerg measure. If a pet dies during a battle you have a strategic choice to make regarding rebuffing immediately or waiting. Now if we had to recast the MM pet buffs every four minutes I'd be PO'd as well but since they last until the pet dies I'm cool with them being expensive.

For the other buffs we do have to recast every four minutes so the strategic casting is lost and a lower end cost makes sense.

Anyone can make a tech item - but maybe Incarnate armor can only be made or worn by people who have links to the Well

Huh, I'm pretty sure every single one of my villains have links to the Well, thanks to Mortimer Kal.

Also my Prince of Demons character has essentially been an Incarnate from level 1, and Issue 6. I hope I get the set for free if I mention that in my bio.

While naturally I'd like it if they reduced the endurance cost for MM upgrades, there is an important difference; once applied, the upgrades last until the pet dies/is dismissed.

Why is Kinetics the only set listed that gets an AoE mez protection buff? Oversight?

Issue 16 made me feel like this.

Increase Density is also an underrated resistance buff. That change also worries me because it lessens the chance of them looking at how a buff that cannot be sensibly used reactively is balanced like a reactive power.

Well, I'm left wondering what's in the generic 'Robotics' field.

If it's just members of the Robotics group from MM, that would be blah, but oh well.

Because the official boards are way too spammy.

BTW, I have zero problem with Ascension Armor only being usable by L50s. The whole point is that it's supposed to be a visual cue that someone is an Incarnate.

The devs don't care about your costumes and looks and concept. Their deus ex won't deign to let you wear those shiny new costume pieces you like until it says you're cool enough to wear them. Besides, by the time Omega rolls around you'll be covered in so many effects you won't be able to even see your costume.

Which is a complete betrayal of what the game was built on. Besides, the concept is ruined by itself existing. Why would I want to wear a flashy Incarnate uniform if everyone else is going to be?

You should tell yourself that.

The game is telling you that characters who never touch the trials will be able to use these costumes.

Blazara Aura LVL 50 Fire/Psi Dom (with 125% recharge)
Flameboxer Aura LVL 50 SS/Fire Brute
Ice 'Em Aura LVL 50 Ice Tank
Darq Widow Fortune LVL 50 Fortunata (200% rech/Night Widow 192.5% rech)--thanks issue 19!

My reaction:

hmmm... New trials, cool, reducing grindfest... More Lore pets, great! New auras, awesome! New emotes, not bad. AoE buffs, lovely! Incarnate locked costume pieces.
...

Thank you Paragon Studios, you remind me that City of Heroes is a game that absolutely, stubbornly refuses to be perfect. Every time you take a step for the better, you insist on grinding the other foot into the ground and taking a step back. The incarnate armor, for all it's gawdiness, looks beautiful, and I can think of toons of mine who would love it who are far from level fifty.

I guess I see the point of this: you want something visible for players to show off "I'm an incarnate who's ground the trials ad nauseum!" because that's how the biggest MMO does it, and since they're the ones with half the population of the world sucked in, surely they're a good example to follow.

I won't cancel my account, but I do dare you to do more "purely aesthetic things locked behind incarnate content" and see how far you can push me.

Ok, attempting to reign in my trademark snark and bile thats been enflamed by a lot of stuff recently on the boards.

I AM casting pet buffs every four minutes on ITrials. I'm casting pet buffs every mob or other mob on Itrials. Because Praetorians chew up and spit back out my whole Primary set at a rate of knots. It's not even funny. Its made all the worse by the insistently bugghed AI that makes my ranged pets run into melee to punch Warwalkers in the kneecaps, Warwalkers that as often as not kill them simply by dying and falling on them.

It's not an Anti-Zerg measure. Defenders and such can now use their buff powers in an AoE with no extra endurance cost. There is NO good reason why this cannot be applied to MMs to give us some slack.

So, every 20 seconds or so on ITrials, then?

For the people asking about endo changes to the AOE buffs- Don't powers like Repel just stack the endo use for each successful hit? It stands to reason that these would work the same way.
