Last I checked, the Steampunk pack was available to everyone on the Test server. I'm sure they want you to go make a Steampunk costume and show it off.
Me playing on European servers and all, I'd like to know for how long (hours), you're gonna let us play the trial, as I may have some difficulties in order to be there at CEST 20 o'clock.
EDIT: By the way, have tried to install the Beta Server thingy. When I get the text box: "You can't run this program directly, please run NCsoft Launcher instead" after having chosen the Beta Server in the Launcher and after it has checked for updates, is this what is supposed to happen or have I done something wrong?

Do you have any objection to a US player logging in during the EU test period? I'm busy Tuesday night, but free during the afternoon. If the Internet is not failing me, that should work out to 1:00 pm Central Daylight Time?
Today is the day... I've been anticipating this moment for weeks.

I like to participate if possible.
The test US test server (now named only test server as the EU will be removed in time) is already installed.

I'm actually expecting a revised date for the test at this stage though.
No luck connecting so far. Seems like the update server is supplying a different version of the client than is loaded on the server. Has anyone actually managed to connect? When I attempt I get:
Wrong game version, run patcher and reconnect, server 2010.201105030029.1, client 2050.201105190739.0
Could we perhaps get some clarification on how this is supposed to work?

I'm hoping you've found a way past the problem of the character copy tool ignoring the EU servers..... [are we still calling them EU servers?]
I had to load a saved costume on test to alter and try the steampunk stuff.. character copy is still not showing all servers (better way to call it as were not having EU or NA servers anymore).
Maybe we should call those 4 missing servers the shaft-servers?

I managed to access the beta server selection today by following the advice in this thread but as yet cannot actually get on one of the servers to play.

Thanks SO very much for the invite for the EU community... unfortunately I don't think any EU player will be able to join as:
1. We can't access the Beta server due to some strange error (well, unless we change our location to NA which subjects us to a different TOS)
2. We can't copy any toons to the Beta server
Wish the Devs had thought this one a bit better...
And the shafting continues.

Good morning all.
I'm in the office checking on the character copy tool for EU players.
If I'm unable to confirm that they'll have the character copy tool working within the next few hours, we will reschedule and will make alternate plans for promoting the Steampunk pack.
Additionally, we are aware of the issue with the patcher. Please use the work around as I do not believe this will be corrected in time.

Can we get on early to produce a Steampunk themed cossie at the tailor pls ?
Well, while I was looking forward to this, my PC has other ideas, and I'm waiting for a new PSU to arrive.
So on a totally selfish note, I'm hoping the EU copy tool isn't working so it'll be rescheduled for later, by which point I'll have performed open heart surgery on my PC and hopefully have it up an running again.
If the EU run is still on for today, good luck, folks.

Sadly the character copy tool is not going to be ready in time for the EU Test. As such, we'll be rescheduling the EU test for a later date. My most sincere apologies to everyone who was looking forward to testing.
Silver lining though - the Community team will be jumping onto live EU servers (Union, Defiant, Vigilance and Zukunft) in Pocket D during the originally planned playtest hours to give away some Steampunk pack codes and other various costume codes (between 8:00 PM BST -11:00 PM BST). Avatea will be making an official post shortly regarding the what servers we'll be on at what time.
Again, my apologies for the rescheduling and we'll see you all in Pocket D this evening!

On the Launcher click on File, choose Settings, Advanced tab and then select North America instead of Europe. You'll then have to restart the Launcher.
