Discussion - Join the CoH Devs in the Keyes Island Beta Test!

Join the City of Heroes Development team Tuesday, May 31st, 2011 on the City of Heroes Beta Server for the first ever public playtest of the Keyes Island Reactor Incarnate Trial. Be amongst the first to get hands on with the new challenges introduced by the third ever Incarnate Trial in CoH. And what better way to celebrate the all new Incarnate Trial than by giving away codes for the newest City of Heroes Super Booster: The Steampunk Pack! Just copy over your finest Steampunk themed super hero or villain for your chance at being selected to win a code for the Steampunk Pack, releasing June 1st, 2011!

Our EU Community is invited to join us at 20.00 CEST/7:00 PM BST to put the Keyes Island Reactor through its paces. We'll be testing with the North American Community starting at 8:00 PM EDT/5:00 PM PDT.

What's Keyes Island Reactor? What's an Incarnate Trial? Well, read below!
Keyes Island Reactor, located in Neutropolis, is the defining achievement of Anti-Matter's life. This sprawling complex is the source of Praetoria's power and is instrumental in keeping the city safe, providing all of the power for the city's protective Sonic Fences. It is the manufacturing site for portable generators which power the Clockwork and for many other amazing technologies. However, most critically for the Emperor's plans, the reactors are the source of power needed to fuel the portals used to send armies to Primal Earth.

The Keyes Island Reactor is an Incarnate Trial -- content meant to be a challenge for those who have reached level 50 and are interested in continuing their advancement as an Incarnate. Those who have not unlocked the Alpha Slot can do so here. Those who have unlocked their Alpha Slot, however, will be able to earn Incarnate XP for all four Incarnate slots introduced in Issue 20.

Keen to get involved with this, but not sure I'd be able to do so if I can't copy Robo over from Defiant.

Man already showing us the new incarnate trial? I wonder if it's going to be in the new issue or the one after... Since it's been said that no new incarnate slots will be in issue 21... Sounds fun though, if we fail it, seems like Cole can turn in on the resistance... The Plot Thickens!

I might be able to make it for both of these sessions - but I'll certainly be there for one of them

im excited to try this out, i just hope for all that is good that they dont do the same thing with the side badges as the lambda trial

It's a shame you can't restore the old EU Test server characters to both the (New/Former NA) Test server and the Beta server...

Are we going to get a mini-walkthrough prior to the beta test, like we did for the BAF and Lambda Trial beta?

Being sick is making my search fu even weaker. Trying to log into beta for Keyes Incarnate but I keep getting the message "Account XXXXXX is not allowed on this server."
I'm probably having a Homer Simpson Duh moment but what am I doing wrong?

well. good luck, both the steampunk pack does not interest me ,or being a beta tester anymore.

Wow, reading would be a good skill to have; and knowing what day it is. Never mind. I did have a "DUH" moment.
Ok, maybe 30 minutes. But I'm going to blame it on the Nyquil.

I'm having issues getting into the Beta. Tuesday, it said that it was having issues with the login server. Wednesday, it said my account wasn't paid for (even though it is). Today, it said login server issues again, but when I tried later, it still said my account isn't paid for. I can log into regular CoH just fine, but I can't even get past the login screen. Help, please??? (Yes, I'm a North American user, BTW)

With only 2 days before the beta test is there any update on whether the EU servers will be available for character copy? And if not is there a back up plan regarding the test and the claiming of codes for the Steampunk Booster pack?

As far as I have been informed, character copies will be enabled by Tuesday. If this is not the case, we will reschedule for another date.
