And no, the fact that they are releasing content with a price tag is not inherently a problem. Sure, it's a problem to YOU, but not me. And, apparently, not most of the playerbase.

I got a bit excited at Fox's assertion of "nice dresses" in the trailer, but I rewatched more carefully....those aren't nice dresses. Still waiting for floor length stuff, I guess...
Loved the trailer, though! Definitely gonna buy.
My pet peeve is people who refuse to acknowledge it when I tell them my character has unlimited power. If I rp attack them they are of course disintegrated beyond the ability of any hospital or magic to restore. Yet despite this they refuse to delete their characters and still keep playing them as if nothing happened. ~Mandu, 07-16-2010

To me, this looks like the best conceived and executed Booster since Magic. I don't even have any Steam Punk characters, or even concepts for potential characters, but I seen numerous uses for individual pieces. I will be purchasing this one day one.

Not to mention that the Wii's technology isn't all that much better than the previous generation's, so it most likely costs about the same to make a Wii game........Anyways, to get to the topic at hand, the pack sounds awesome and I can already think of a few characters that could use parts from it. I agree that alternate animations for the /traps and /devices sets would be great. Maybe if we players mention it enough it will happen (hint hint, wink wink, nudge nudge). I also love the travel power, finally I have a way to justify why my "natural" character is somehow able to travel in ways that aren't possible for normal humans.

Come on Devs, get over the costume sexism and give females the coats... I'm more than willing to share the lingerie magic robe and dresses with the male toons, this is just an unjustifiable decision.

OK..so It's about 3am here and by all rights I should be asleep, but I got up and figured I'd check out the Steampunk stuff on Test.
First Off- Let me add that I would like to see the female models get the same coats etc, that the male body types do. And the clock /sash belt, I mean without the frilly stuff in the back , it's perfectly acceptable for a male alt. Anyhoo.
Secondly- omgwtfbbq. Each piece of these costume sets.. just blew me away. I'm a fan of mixing an matching parts to feed my um.. superhero clothes horse habit and well dangit, this puppy just hit it out of the park!! Of all the packs I've seen done in the recent past, this one has to have the most versatility, with respect to individual pieces. If you didn't catch it as yet, I'm sayin' 'win'.
Thirdly- Been telling my buddies that I couldn't see that much of a difference in the 'face-tech' in the trailer and was willing to see how it looks in game. YEAP. Outta the park. Faces look wonderful and it's obviously an improvement. They do look a tad , bright, but I can work with that.
Fourthly- Auras, ccemotes, effects of the powers .. listen closely ..you are on a frikkin roll. Love em! And yea about the aura.. um. Potential...so so much. If, at some point, we get auras that were solidified, heck it could act as ...well a lot.
One thing I didn't care for though , was the loudness of the special power's effects. I just think that could get annoying really fast, when you've got everyone om an area, keeping it on.
Anyhoo... I'm goin to bed. Nice job on the pack folks!

We were told that we'd have the same test server! But all I get is 'Test Server (EU)' and, in the list, TestServer01 and EUWorldsomething and a whole greyed out list.
I'd like a damn answer befoer I have to kick someones face in over this

CoH bars no content from anyone able to pay the subs. These packs, which allow the devs to develop and test new ideas outside of the main development cycle, provide us with nothing more that fun, but useless in terms of gameplay, items. Bar the Beast/ninja run, which is OP really.
Most of the tech developed for the boosters has appeared free, as I listed above. I'll put 100 mill inf on us seeing new face-tech faces, backpacks and path auras in the next 2 issues.
I am so excited for this I am just hoping to be able to scrounge up enough cash for it.... or that I can win a copy in some wacky contest that might be held :P

Steampunk pack looks ace - but wait - there is a problem.
I laid good money out for the martial arts pack (and the rest of them). However, Ninja Run now no longer works in many zones.
When this pressing fault is corrected I may then be swayed to lay out even more money for Steampunk. "Make my day" DEVS and fix Ninja Run; then you can have more of my money.
See, now I want to create a steampunk toon. Why are the devs fueling my altism?

That trailer was fantastic. Kudos to whomever put it together.
I may have cancelled my account, but I think I won't be able to resist buying this just to make a new character with my seven year vet slot.
