ATI Radeon HD 5750 - my iMac is new (6 months old)
I put a ticket in. Uninstalled, reinstalled, safe moded. black screen persists.
I am down from playing on my 27" to my lowly PC Laptop 
click the apple>About this mac>more info> graphics/display tab on left side
The new Blackscreen technology is enabled on:
Mac Pro 1,1
OSX 10.6.7
ATI Radeon HD 5770
CoH Version 4462
...but I am not getting Blackscreen on my:
iMac
OSX 10.6.7
ATI RadeonHD 2600
CoH Version 4462

Hi everyone,
I'm fairly sure that this issue is already being investigated, however the information you're providing is invaluable in our research (specifically in the area of identifying commonality with the Radeon cards.)

When you get the black screen, is your UI still available? Meaning, can you see the chat window, power tray, etc., but not the game world?

For me I do not even get to the character screen selection.

Black screen, only the cursor is there. No Sound. You have to "apple" Tab to go back to your desktop. There you can see the game running in the dock, clicking it returns you to the black screen. You only option is to force quit.
I redownloaded the game, deleted prefs and the old game, reinstalled and it returned me to the same black screen.
I am running a brand new iMac with the i3 processor. Not sure of the graphics card, I will update when I get to work.

Blackscreen technology enabled on my iMac with ATI Radeon HD 5750.
My poor hp laptop is running fans FULL time now to keep up, please fix this soon

Mainly I'm just hoping that if they manage to resolve the issue with the other NVIDIA cards, then our cards may work again too with the game.
With the economy being as it is, I've been trying to avoid buying a new computer. It may be a few months or even a year before I can get something that will let me play again.

These repeated mac graphics issues are starting to annoy me.

In my case, I don't even make it to the initial splash screen, loaded before the login screen comes up.
I've received pretty timely replies from support; they're looking into the issue, but it just may take some time. My guess is that the character slot issue is a higher priority in the grand scheme of things (not that it makes me happy, but I understand).
Heck, both WoW and Eve Online have had their share of hiccups with major content releases... it seems par for the course for any complex MMO.
I also have to commend the community here. Were the WoW or Eve Online, there would have already been cries for blood. Here, people are reasonable and mature (did I just open a can of worms?).
Our Mac is out today. Log in, clicked Next as you progress to the start up screen before the server log in screen goes black with just a mouse showing. Hangs there. I wasn't able to do the command options escape to stop it, had to go to hard reboot via power.

If this issue isn't fixed by Friday I will ask for a game time credit. I think 4 days is a fair amount of time. Again its a business like any other.

If so, my "chipset model" is Intel GMA 950.
