I've got the black screen problem problem, too, on a one month-old iMac. Sort of glad to see it's not just me...!

I'm on a Mac and I've opened up extra Power Trays (I think that's the right name) by clicking the + on my main power tray. How do I make them go away? I don't have a right click mouse!
