There are 2 Crey hunts in Manti, the first is not zone specific, the other is specific to Crey's Folly.

Thanks, guys! I'm like 3 costumes short on one of my chars for the badge, and it's been driving me crazy that I'd have to wait six months to complete it! But now I don't have to wait. Hurrah!

Course what would really be nice is removing the zone restrictions on hunt missions. For the most part it is just an unnecessary annoyance.

I'd love to see it for all arcs, but at least for TF's considering TF's lock you out of all other content so it isn't like you can easily do something else and come back to it.

As I recall, even though it doesn't say in the mission objective, the first one does have to be done in Brickstown. It's part of what Manticore tells you.

I could be wrong, but I remember once trying to hunt them in CF and it not working.

Dawww - you didn't have to...
You guys are so good to us... o^_^o

It's funny - for a while I entertained the thought that you guys were trying to introduce some new April event for the 1st; something goofy like replacing all the NPC's with the cardboard box model or letting players fight a Giant Monster shaped like an office chair.

Although, the prospect of fighting a giant yellow Hamidon with a smiley face does seem kind of awesome, in retrospect...

There are 2 hunts iirc, one in bricks, and second to last mission is in Creys. Doing one now, can confirm in a bit.

Yup, first hunt is kill Crey in Bricks. Second to last mission is a hunt in Creys.

Your character does not have capped defense. Depending on your AT the cap is between 175% - 225%. Your defense is not teal in the combat window, it can go higher. STOP SAYING IT IS CAPPED! The correct term is Soft Cap.
I enjoy playing in Mids. I specialize in Melee Characters, other AT's usually bore me.

The first hunt must be done in Brick, killing Crey in FF or Crey's Folly do not count for that first hunt... unless it's changed from last month. While I've done it several times this week I haven't tested that this week, but last month and before you HAD to kill the Crey in Bricks on the first hunt.

I tested it Wednesday. First hunt must be in Brickstown. I tried Founders' Falls and defeats there did not count.

Already had a double whammy on this - was in the middle of a manticore TF, got the first hunt (25 crey in bricks) and when we got there a banner event was running with 16 minutes left. As SOON as that finished a zombie apocalypse spawned.

End result: The TF took about 35-45 minutes longer than it should have and my character got all 4 zombie invasion badges. We tried to do the banner event but being leveled down to 35 and not having a lot of debuffs killed that.

So, probably break even for my character but if you HAD the badges already would have been a wasted 45 minutes. Fortunately all on the TF could hang that long and didn't mind doing the events.

The event is Awesome sauce. It is a great way to make me forget the frustration from Thursday. Thanks for the gesture.
Please note: Awesome sauce is not for all dishes. Speed Manticore runs may have a small chance at being delayed. The fog in the shadow shard is rough. I get that, but still love the move.

Exactly how long are folks taking on the MTF these days? Are you stopping in the middle to cook a chateuabriand?

The only real problem for this can be Praetoria: lowbies can have a really rough time against zombie spawns as there aren't any "safe" areas near drones to retreat to (bank storage/AHs aside, there's nowhere to take a little bit of the pressure off. It's all or nothing).

Hospitals especially can get really rough. Example: someone tries to make a stand near the front door of one; add in a few deaths elsewhere with a quick hospital trip, it can make trying to get out of there ... unpleasant.

Just wanted to thank you for this. Currently on one of the Longbow hunts during an Officer Renault Strike Force. First zombies in Nerva, then banners immediately after. We managed to kill 2/10 Longbow in ~30 minutes. Again, thanks.

The first hunt (25 Crey) is unrestricted and you can hunt anywhere.. most players head back to Brickstown since the next 2 missions are always there. The second hunt (40 Crey) is always in Crey's Folly.

http://wiki.cohtitan.com/wiki/Manticore_Task_Force

Confirmed here and by the fact that I have done 10 of them this week and hunt two specifially requires teams to go to CF but Hunt one just states "Defeat 25 Crey".

EDIT: Okay See now you are making me need to test this.. All it says on the Wiki is Manticore says "Brickstown is full of Crey these days". I have seen other conracts give hints like that on where to find the particular Villain group you need to hunt but you could technically hunt them anywhere. We always headed back to Brickstown from where ever because the next several missions .. Infiltrate the base (Hack the Computer) and Defeat the Security Chief (Manning) are always in Bricks so WHY hunt anywhere else? SIGH now I HAVE to go do another Manti and SEE if I can hunt Crey in other zones. The things I put myself through for you I swear LOL

Does "halloween event" also mean ToT.

I noticed it works on Virtue but not on Pinnacle (i assume other servers as well)

I just wanted to stop by and talk about the effects of the Halloween event on the Weekly Strike Target.

The current Weekly Strike Targets have hunt missions in Crey’s Folly and Nerva Archipelago. Each of these zones are subject to the Zombie and Deadly Apocalypse events. When these events run they will despawn all the creatures in the zone. This will cause a team to be unable to complete the hunt mission until the event has ended. These events last around 20 minutes which I understand can be a large amount of time for many players. While the Halloween event is running the world is plunged into perpetual night. This should not affect any of the creature spawns needed for the hunt missions.

As Weekly Strike Targets continue this issue may appear again during other future zone events.

I would like to apologize for any inconvenience these events have caused anyone trying to run the current Weekly Strike Targets.
The solutuion is this problem is to maintain a minium of 2 instances of each zone. I have noticed the few times when a zone is duplicated the event does not usally happen in every instance. Just designate zone 2 as a no special event instance and create zone 3 when zone 2 would originally created created and so on. Allow special instances to occur in zone 3 and so on.

It's a dark and story night. That means something bad is happening out there

<ahem> And Brickstown. The first hunt in the Manticore task force does not say Brickstown in the mission objective, but it DOES say it in the mission text and the defeats MUST be in Brickstown (unless this was recently changed).

It is worth noting that enemies in the vicinity of a player will not despawn. We had just started the hunt in Brickstown when the event hit the zone. I was on top of the parking garage behind the train station and was able to find enough Crey to finish the hunt on the various levels of the garage.

I hope the staff at Paragon Studios make sure that the Numina TF is never the WST overlapping any of the following:

Halloween
Rikti Raid Event Weeks
"Spur of the Moment" versions of either.

With 16 zone hunts and the frequency the zone events are triggered, Numina would take considerably longer than it needs to.

Then again, you could just remove all the kill grey hunts that Numina has. It isn't as if they are actually fun in the first place.
