I have seen other conracts give hints like that on where to find the particular Villain group you need to hunt but you could technically hunt them anywhere. We always headed back to Brickstown from where ever because the next several missions .. Infiltrate the base (Hack the Computer) and Defeat the Security Chief (Manning) are always in Bricks so WHY hunt anywhere else? SIGH now I HAVE to go do another Manti and SEE if I can hunt Crey in other zones. The things I put myself through for you I swear LOL |
/e SIGH Okay that took longer than I had anticipated but I ran a Manticore TF with my Tank today. Sure enough during the defeat 25 mission a Banner event occurred in Brickstown. A couple of us TRIED to defeat some in CF and they DO NOT COUNT. We had to wait like 14 minutes for the banners to go away, since no one was attacking them.. well we got bored and attacked one, before we could complete the mission and continue.
Two suggestions to solve this annoying little issue...
1. Remove the zone requirement on hunts like these in Numina, Manticore, Etc. Just let us defeat X number in any zone. Then if their are Zombies in CF, or Rikti invading Steel Canyon.. no one cares. They just go to another zone with the same villains and take them down there.
2. [This one takes longer] Revamp the TFs and remove most if not all of the hunts and replace with door missions or just remove and shorten the TF. No one particularly enjoys street hunts anyway and in many cases the villains you are attacking are 4-5 lowers lower than you and offer up no shards (very true in several TF in the Shadow Shard).
This may seem like a small issue but when Numina was the WST there were times when 3 or 4 teams were battling over the same mobs and some nasty name calling broke out. I personally had one Numina that was interrupted in Faultline by a Banner event and then again in Talos by a Rikti invasion.. This added nearly 40 -45 minutes to our time and was the ONLY Numina I did all week that took more than 2 hours. MOST were done in half that time!

Ran a Renault Saturday.
Delayed starting because we were killing zombies in Shark (WOO Four badges!).
Had to wait 18 minutes for the Banner event to do the first hunt in Nerva. Took the time to switch my laundry and grab a snack and stretch.
Is it annoying? Yeah
Will the world end? No
Thanks guys for running the event over the weekend, was nice to snag the badges on my new guys. And if you run into this just run the event or take a chance to get up, stretch and grab a drink/snack. Renault is incredibly short and you can easily make the time back up.
Not sure about Manti, I'm allergic to hero side Task Forces, they make me fall asleep.

As people were used to ToT'ing in zones well below their level, I have still come across players in-game that comment in globals that they cannot click on doors. Sure enough, their in Kings, or Steel, or Talos... (or Cap Au) on their 50.
Unless Cap Au is now a 8-50 zone and not an 8-20 zone...

The irony of the Halloween event happening right now is that I just got a new computer set up, and this weekend I was planning on figuring out how far I could push my graphics, and whaddya know...perpetual night!!! Guess I'll have to wait until tomorrow to see how things look in the daytime.... 
looks like it's already ended, because I logged on to get my badger the ToT tip mission badges, so I wouldn't have to wait until Oct to do it, and lo and behold, it's too late.

With 16 zone hunts and the frequency the zone events are triggered, Numina would take considerably longer than it needs to.
Then again, you could just remove all the kill grey hunts that Numina has. It isn't as if they are actually fun in the first place.
