Hello all, it's time once again for another FREE ART CONTEST hosted by yours truly!

This works in a similar way to a costume contest in game but is hosted here in this thread. Participants can post character submissions based on the guide lines provided below. Judging will run from Monday April 4th through to Friday April 8th with one character being selected each day (5 in total). Character submissions will be accepted starting today until the final day of judging. Each selected character submission will be added to the list at the bottom of this post and I will pm the entrant to notify them of their winning entry. For those unfamiliar with Bishoujo, this is a Japanese anime/manga art style focused on “Pretty Girls”. Here’s what you need to know to enter;

1. Players can submit heroes or villains but the character MUST be female.
2. Please link to screenshots of your character to keep the thread easy to read.
3. Only one character submission per individual.

Screenshots : Please try to get the full character in the shot and make sure it is in a well lit area. I can’t draw what I can’t see, so keep this in mind for your best chance to win. Although not necessary, a 3 point view (front-back-side) of the character would be helpful.

Art Work : Unfortunately I can not give a time frame as to how quickly I will be able to complete each winners art piece. As time becomes available, I will work on each one in turn and post them as they are done. All finished work from this contest will be posted in my art thread here on the forum, my DeviantART gallery, and linked to from this thread. I will also PM each winner once their art work is posted.

So tough to decide on who to enter! But I think perhaps Gorm Diabhal is best suited to your style?

Bishoujo huh? As it happens, I have an anime-based female character already... she's a lizard, and slightly shounen-type because I was always more fond of sentai and mecha than of magical girls, but I don't think I'd let that stop me. And because she's a princess, here's a more formal looking outfit.

7 posts in and already more than half the participants fail to read/follow rule #2 of 3.

I went with Shieldara in her blue suit as I think it comes closest to what you are looking for.

P.S. Two things I don't think you addressed Twiz...
1. Can we have a different costume/character drawn as a prize from what we post here if we win?
2. You mention one entry per person but you also say that the contest will have many days
so is it one entry per person each day or one entry per person for the whole contest?

It sounds like you want only one entry from each period but I'm asking just in case because all the contests I've had that were one entry
per person if there was more than one day/round I let everyone try again the next time too.

Yeah, Caemgen is correct. I limited the contest to one character submission per person for the whole contests to make it easier on myself while giving everyone a fair shot. If even half of the CoX community Alt's as much as I do they could likely post dozens of toons where as some people only play one or two characters. As for CR's other question, the character entered is the character drawn. I'll be evaluating costume design, color, and other elements based on the Bishoujo "pretty girl" theme so I can't accept alternate characters after an entry has been selected.

As with the last contest I ran, I'll go over all of the character submissions each day so everyone has a fair shot regardless of where/when you post. =)

I'll submit my very first character (yikes almost 7 years old now):

White Clover is my illusion/empathy controller. The only differences from her in game look would be: she'd have green eyes and the ankh chest detail would be a smaller celtic cross pendant on her necklace.

I don't....really have any bishoujo style characters. My uh....one hilarious foray into that area ended up annoying me too much to keep going but if i can find an old screenshot of Mahou Shoujo Beretta I will post her up for you in case you need something completely dumb to draw for hilarity

Nice idea for a contest and it's great of you to offer free art! In that spirit, here's a couple of shots of my favorite Bots/Dark MM, Watership Doom. So she's not really cute or cuddly, really... but she has a lot of fun 'tude. Hopefully she can still qualify.
