I would not at all object to a badge that required running 50 WSTs if the first time you ran it counted. These badges are saying "We want you to grind this content." For a hardcore badger who likes having badges to work on it might be ok, but for a more casual badger it can make badging less fun.
I understand everyone's going to have different opinions on what they consider "grinding" for badges. But I think trying to claim that having to do the same TF at least twice in one week as "grinding" is really pushing the definition to its logical limit.

Sure I can understand you might not LIKE to do TFs as often as that or maybe don't even have the time in real life to devote to doing TFs that often. But even if you're one of those people I think you'd have a hard timing using the word "grinding" to describe that scenario with a straight face.

If you're going to make a case against grinding for badges that's perfectly fine. But at least use reasonable terms/scales when trying to relate your ideas to others. I'm sure there are some people out there who would consider the idea that 2 TFs a week should be defined as "grinding" to be as laughable as trying to say driving 40 MPH on the Interstate is "speeding".

The RWZ revamp also included soloable story arcs and repeating missions, a task force, a raid, and zone invasions. The Rikti were kind enough to allow people with a wide variety of playstyles an opportunity to kick their butts.

Ok, forced repetition for the sake of repetition then.

An extreme example of this comes from his blog; this is the entry he posted after losing his job as senior animator, and one of the comments is "Maybe you should not have messed up pvp then you might still have a job".

Stuff, in no particular order.

We were promised player usable IDF costume pieces. Do not have the link on hand, sorry. Then we were told "not in I19 but Soon". The I20 overview does not have them either. Can we have an update on this? If the devs have abandoned this, say so already.

New/proliferated powersets would also be nice. These are very "efficient" content for the players who are interested in them. "Trying" a new/proliferated powerset means "leveling new character to 32/38/50" for many - that takes a while, especially solo.

I think it is a valid approach to play an MMO as a single player game with regular updates, chat and showing off. It makes some content unavailable, but it is not the strangest self-limitation people have (Steelclaws tournament spring to mind). Not sure how to put this... one does not have to play every part of the game to get their moneys/times worth of enjoyment.

And me? Between 40 alts and a full time job, i will always have something to do in game so long as I enjoy the core gameplay - using powers against enemies.

I do not suffer from altitis, I enjoy every character of it.

Maybe when we finally beat Cole and disconnect him from the Well, the Lore pets will have other options. Right now the Well* doesn't have time to whip up new Essence Pets.

Like we got other options for PPP pets for people who didn't like the blatant Arachnos concept?

If there was only time to create one pet per tree, it should have been generic. If they want non-generic pets but are concerned about balance, they can create one pet per tree with different skins. Someone in another thread suggested using something similar to the Halloween costume tech. It's quick and dirty but it's better than everybody having a Praetorian following them around.

We aren't even able to customize colors in epic and PP pools yet. Hopefully whatever the technical limitations are that won't let us customize pool powers aren't going to limit the customization of our Incarnate powers.

I can handle having Praetorians pets more then having a Judgement power that clashes with my color scheme.

Mule muffins. As numerous respondents have already mentioned there are other alternatives available right now.

Furthermore: if you can't do something right don't do it at all. No one put a gun to the devs' heads and made them implement a half-baked pet power as part of the Incarnate system. It was a choice.

I am, honestly, very disappointed with the Lore slot. I cannot believe they didn't make your sidekick fully customizable. This game's biggest strength is the customization. To be able to have full control over your sidekick's appearance would have been a huge achievement for this game. It may have been the best thing since i12.

As it stands, i20 is looking somewhat questionable. A VERY heavy focus on Praetoria as of late has many players feeling fed up with the updates. Enough already. I really think the devs are losing touch with the playerbase and the game will suffer for it in the end.

Luckily the forums don't represent the playerbase. For everyone I play with, we're happy with the route the game is being taken, and I for one am not sick of praetoria :P I don't think the devs are losing touch with anything. It's just that time of the year for doom.

Well everyone I play with hates Praetoria, so there. See, I can claim to speak for a larger group too!

Aside from Noble Savage, we've been hearing more from marketing than from the people who actually work on the game for some time. We can't know how much they read the forums, but they sure aren't talking on them.

I was pointing out that he doesn't speak for everyone, and I was referring to the group I normally team with. But good try >.>

Positron was quite chatty at the Euro sneak peek yesterday, and War Witch showed up for a bit too.

Definitely. It seems they start their projects and leave them either destroyed in the case of pvp or only part of the way done like power customization. I wish they would have an issue of finish what they start!

Maybe they should plan an issue to wrap up a lot of stuff? That would be neat no?

Sounds like a plan and I'll look forward to the impending d00m! thread

I think they should delay the Lore Incarnate power. Praetorians are invading MY planet and I get the pleasure of having their troops as my pets? Hah!

This. This x10. Dump Lore as it stands. Get full minion/pet power customization on a front burner. Finish up PC. And release Lore with an issue that includes MM customization and a completed Power Customization system, including full customization with multiple animations for ANY and ALL incarnate powers. This is a new system and these aspects should be baked in from the start.

And yes, bases and PvP, even though I don't really touch either any more, have been embarrassingly abandoned.
