How does the system determine the "League Leader"? I'd guess in a pre-formed, it'd be just like team leader, but what about in the Turnstile version?

Whoever zones first gets the star. Even in pre-formed leagues, I lost the star several times when going in due to my slow zoning time.

This is what 3700 heroes in a single zone looks like.
Thanks to @EnsonsDeath for the GVE code that made me VIP again!

I guess I can't think of a better way to do it.

It is - but tweaking the Hamidon raid limit to be 48 instead of 50 wouldn't really impact on strategy or tactics much at all, and woulkd bring it into line with the new Legaue system, which would make a lot of sense.

That strikes me as a poor method. At the very least it would be useful to have a "willing to lead" checkbox in the turnstile interface and prioritize selecting those people (for both raid and team leaders) who check it over those who don't. That at least slightly increases the chance few getting a raid leader who's content to be the leader.

It's beta. Go comment in the beta forum so they can improve it.

The hardest part of this trial is going to be getting 48 people to meter their DPS in order to take down 2 AVs within 10 seconds of each other.

Ever tried to herd a pile of cats?

Numero the One: The BAF, which is the trial currently available for review, and which has this particular boss mechanic, has a maximum of 24 players, not 48.

Numero the B: It's actually not that difficult. Provided your teams are equally varied, the more people you have the more their damage output will normalize. As long as you don't have all Defenders on one boss and all Blasters and Scrappers on the other, their health will fall at about the same rate.

I've experienced this mechanic in...let's just say other games. As long as you've got someone willing to monitor the health and issue commands ("Group Siege, slow down a bit. Group Nightstar, wake up."), it's really not that hard. And if people don't pay attention, well...they'll start to when they realize they have to fight the same bosses three times in a row.

Well it happened. Within the short window that the Beta server was up, the Trial was completed on the first day.

Was on the league that dropped them today, a couple of hours ago. Didn't take any particular coordination really. There's an objective window with their health bars and a numerical percentage readout that's visible no mater what you have targeted.

Yeah, it's not even like the A Certain Other game where you have to call the bosses health manually

I don't know if it was the same run but I got to complete the BAF on my first run today. Half the time I had no idea what the heck was going on and I think I somehow became the main tank.

All I can say is live servers have to perform better than they currently do during MSRs. They weren't bad before but last 2 weeks or so they have become exercises in frustration. Lag so bad you can't do anything and mobs appearing so slowly they are hard to find and often dead by the time they finish "porting" in.

I know, what is up with that? I can barely play half the time. It's like someone was channeling a coked-up MTV editor from 1992 with combination of rubberbanding and lag spikes affecting each character diferently. It's entertaining for about a minute and then you feel like throwing up.
