This could end up being even easier than ANY of the other trials if we get the coordination down.

The Leagues interface needs work though.
It does need work.

I can see that this thingamajig probably won't be too much hassle on Virtue and Freedom and maybe even Infinity, but on low-pop servers it's not going to be of much benefit if there has to be a minimum number of players to start whatever these new trials are. Too bad they can't just fill the trials with computer-run pets or doppelgangers. I'll take Fusionette on my team over having to wait for two hours for one of these things to kick off. I've been waiting for an hour now on beta server for one to start and I'm bored stiff. Pretty soon I have to leave for a night shoot, so I can't hang around all evening hoping another player decides to join.

The only lacking thing for low pop servers I can see is that you cant enter a mission without leaving the queue.

Be nice (but doubt the tech there to make possible) if you could remain on it while solo in missions - so you have something besides street sweeping while waiting - but dont disapeear on your team.

I don't suffer from altitis, I enjoy every minute of it.

Thank you Devs & Community people for a great game.

So sad to be ending ):

Ah, my apologies then, I read your post wrong.

I wouldn't mind that, like you said, the one where you fight all the Vindicators is a tad short (think the contact is Black Spider or something...). I'd run Viridian's arc more if it didn't require so many badges/gladiators. Though all of Grandville's contacts have rather nice arcs, wouldn't mind a long good one outside of Patrons.

I actually really dislike this because the game just doesn't work with it.

I'm sure we've all had the server lag problems with powers, movement, etc in Hami and MS raids.

So the correct jab is "Oh no this is WoW circa 3 years ago!"

This particular Trial is capped at 24. No where near the numbers you get on a MS, and less than half of a Hami.

Did one with a full 24, or nearly full...lag stutter etc was a non-issue.

Furio--Lvl 50+3 Fire/Fire/Fire Blaster, Virtue
Megadeth--Lvl 50+3 Necro/DM/Soul MM, Virtue
Veriandros--Lvl 50+3 Crab Soldier, Virtue

I'm sure they won't use that 48 cap ever.

Isn't the hive a 50 man cap, not 48?

The point is that people get shut off, not that the limit is 48.

I hope you guys allow [Ninja Run] and [Beast Run] to be used on the Trials!

Yes but that's the zone cap, Hamidon itself can be done with fewer. Given that I could easily see them making a new "private Hamidon" option where you get your own zone with a cap of 48 (since the team of team tech caps out at 48). People have been asking for it for ages so it makes a lot of sense to do if the new tech allows it.

I don't think the new tech allows it. It sounds like these trials aren't instanced, just like hamidon. It just makes arranging for the runs easier.

I'm pretty sure they are instanced. The way it's setup would make no sense if it was at all possible to have members of the same league end up in different zones or multiple leagues in the same zone.

You're assuming there's more than one league active at the same time.

My point is if they had designed that cap for hami raids specifically and not for future trials, it'd be 50.

Since 48 is the closest to 50 you can get and still have it be divisible by 8 I'd say that clearly Hami did factor into the cap. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure some of the new content will cap at 48, but that shouldn't be a problem as far as lag goes if the encounter is spread out enough.

With the Turnstyle handling re-entry after disconnect and the new contribution measuring system preventing leechers from getting rewarded, there shoudn't be any need for a "private Hamidon."

Well it depends on whether they convert all Hamidon's to use the turnstile system or keep the existing public raid and have the private Hamidon as another option.

Now that we've seen it, we can say:

A League is simply a way to group separate teams, up to 6 of them into one interface to which a League Leader has special controls.

This League can, as a whole if it wishes, do a Hami Raid which is in an open zone. This League can, as a whole if it wishes, enter an instanced raid, like the CoP.

For some instanced events, like the new BAF, those who sign up for the BAF as individuals, or as separate teams through the Queue/Turnstile will automatically be thrown together into a League as they enter the Trial. Or, a League can first be formed, and then enter the Trial as a whole simply by the Leader entering the Queue/Turnstile.

Could there be an instanced Hami Raid that uses the Queue/Turnstile? Sure. It would have to be coded to become one first, though. Then it could either supplant the open zone one or exist along with it. If that's what you want, let the Devs know.

Remember, the Queue/Turnstile is a separate mechanic from Leagues. A full League, already made, can go through the Turnstile. Individuals who go through a Turnstile wind up in a League in the raid instance.

The Turnstile doesn't seem to lend itself to a private instance, as there's no indication you can' limit access to just those you want.

Edit: just read Zombie Man's post, so it seems you could set up a private hami using a league and the turnstile, were hami to use the turnstile.
