Does Anyone Else Miss Sewer Teams?

But.. but.. but.. I guess its cool listening to the 5th STF request debuffs.

"STF needs emp, debufs, stoner"

I had a blaster say that our STF team had too much melee-- at 1 scrapper, 1 Brute, and 1 Tank-- and that the team was destined for failure. He got the boot, and someone else completed the STF with us.

It is hard to find teams outside of 50 though right now. I agree.

I certainly don't.

And not exactly easy if you aren't one of a few sets/ATs (though, certainly far from impossible).

I just joined an STF with 6 melee actually. I will see how it goes. (Once the Ouro portals disappear from on top of the mission entrance... um hello /ban?)

6 melee? That's it? Done it with 8 melee! Don't know why people think you need the debuffs/buffs to complete the STF

Back to topic... No I don´t miss them much, but I´d really like to see some Hydra-like content for Praetoria. Maybe stopping some burrowing DEs from entering Praetoria via the sewers. Sonic Walls should be pretty inefective when you can dig your way around them.

Atlas (or Galaxy) - group of lowbies (so *fun* at level 1!) hop into the sewers.

Eight go in.

One goes "Hurry back from hosp, I have team tp - wait, need to train. Death Express for me!"

I rarely run heroes, so I think I can answer "no" here. Last one I did was in... hm, July or something? Before that I have no idea, earthly or otherwise.

I actually prefer a variation. 8 go in, as many as possible come out in Boomtown, ten levels later. It's good times.

Have you been in the sewer recently!?

They made it EASYER!
They added drones by the exit, and even added a hospital!

Really guys? We can't walk across the zone to get back to the sewers? We need a hospital?

/rant

Anyway, sewers were silly on 2x weekend

I was on a couple of sewer teams just this week. People are still doing them.

I dunno how many runs i've done with my ill/rad so far.. lol

I participated in one sewer team many years ago. I found it head-deskingly boring, and have vowed to never do one again.

I ran a few sewer runs on dubXP weekend. No shortage of takers. Just kept promoting the star down to the lowest level member until we were ready to D Train. Most of us walked out level 14 or higher.

Ditto... in 3+ years never. Mentioned that on a team, and I could *hear* the gasp of a couple of teammates. One said it was like a rite of passage. What in the world am I missing?

For me, the rite of passage was when you dinged 50 you filled up your tray with wakies, and then went to visit Hamidon. Blew your wakies trying to get the Heart of the Hamidon badge. I enjoyed getting the badge for friends with TP friend and flight and dropping them from up high... good target practice in the end.

Maybe that was a Union thing that has died out now :s

Oh please, the only difference between the Heroes Sewer Teams and the Villain Sewer Teams is that Mercy Island doesn't have a ceiling. Mercy is an above ground sewer.

For new characters the team starts in the Atlas Park or Galaxy City Sewers and does one of two things. Either fight their way to the lowest level on the map or Pick an exit and fight their way to it. In both cases players will battle ever increasing opponents and rack up 6-10 levels.

If they get to the lowest level of the sewers they usually take the death express back to AP or GC. If they choose to fight to an exit they can come out in Kings Row, Steel Canyon, Skyway City, or Boomtown.

In any case they can be a lot of fun.

I've never done one either. I actually kind of like the low level game, possibly because I don't make all that many new characters. I haven't found any reason to rush through it yet.

God I remember the sewer days from my old acount and yes I do kind of wish I could go back and experience CoH for the first time all over again.
