Repeat Offenders forever !

Make all IO's available in Paragon Market! NCSoft, the chinese are making BIG money selling influence and other stuff in the game. Best way to stop them = make the paragon market a place to buy all IO's and perhaps other things as well.

I'm really not playing the game that much anymore, about that time to take a break, next time i'll be in game is 2-3 days because of work, email is iMidget reborn. If i'm online just ask me then and i'm sure I can do a run np and I don't have Mu anymore but ION will make up for it i guess.

I made a SS/Fire brute after I saw the first one. I wanted him hero side so I made Gold. Lvl'd him to 20, jumped to blue, and immediately began to PL myself. Was slow at first in the fire ambush farm, then got burn and it was simply easy.

I went w/ Pyre for my epic for Melt armor and Fireball.

I read that others don't use Rage. I have it as my auto attack. IF it's up, I use it.

Sure, I eat inspirations, but you make so many they're ALWAYS there. Only ones I seem to need are purple def. But it just makes it easier, still not a necessity.

Oh, and I don't farm w/ bosses.

Mu Epic is best for farming but boring in PvE. Melt armor is a waste. -7 or 9% res for like 2 seconds animation. when you could being useing an attack doing 150-300 dmg in the same time. and have FF proc in Footstomp and ur set.

This is probably a dumb question but in the fuzzy kittens map (or any of these similar maps), what powers/sets do the enemies have? Which specific rez do they have?

Well, it looks like SS/FA got supercharged with the reactive fix.
Last night I ran my normal fire arc FIRE!(other) +4/x8 with bosses. All five mishs took a total of 642 seconds (10:42), including 4 load times of an average of 40 seconds (a total of 2:40 min of load times i believe). Which means i ran 5 mishs in 8:02, about 1:30 seconds a mish or so. My last recorded times, just a few days ago, were about 12-20% slower.
Totals:
inf: 12,547,560 (in SG mode)
inf/min with load times: 1.1mil
inf/min without load times: about 1.5mil i believe
tixs: 7332 (i misjudged one mish and finished before i could ticket cap)
tix/min with load times: 683
tix/min without load times: 916 i think

Fun facts: damage totals:
ball lightning: 76,305.89 dmg
blazing aura: 70,436.49
bonus fire (FE i believe): 58,067
burn: 34,777,87
Fences: 17,699.35
Foot stomp: 87,619.72
haymaker: 319.23 (i used it once or twice)
Ion core final judgement: 47,537.67
Reactive interface (i.e. the big bad): 142,629.55

Powers used:

That's not going to last....

It was strong enough with the ticking in damage auras every tick (and I really hope that stays)... but ticking in burn every tick!? Crazy.

Note that I'm just making a guess here about burn, because I think that would be all that's changed, right (the "pet" fix to reactive)? I've logged my reactive damage many times, and it's never been anywhere near that %.

Yeah, thats the only thing that was changed. And keep in mind, this is FASTER than with the ion bug.

I ran warehouse x on my fire/fire/ice at +54/8 no bosses for 1,777,438 inf per min after the reactive change. Sleet is nuts felt like old school pgt. Wish doms got burn instead of combustion though .

Is there another s/l farm out there that isnt using the frontloaded ambushes on warehouse map? want to try something with more than 230 defeats.

I really don't know what the devs were thinking with changing reactive.

Either way I really dont think this will actually speed up team content this much.

They were probably trying to fix it for normal pets, which weren't working quite right. They may have been trying to fix it so pseudo-pets (tornado, lightning storm, whatever) also caused the proc correctly. I hadn't actually tested this, so I have no idea whether it was working or not...

I suspect this will cause them to 'turn off' per tick proccing in general, instead of coding a special case for burn. Which means burn may have just "ruined" (vastly weakened) reactive for pbaoe damage aura users. DOH.

The reactive pet fix supercharges my controller, as Plant and Storm both produce a ton of damage rolls via pets. After the patch, I ran the 999+ vote Fire Cyborg at +4/x8/0 for 2.25M inf/hr, with over half my damage coming from the reactive interface. I can't imagine that's going to last....

Total: 171k
-----------
Ion Judgement: 10k
Roots: 11k
Fissure: 12k
Procs: 34k
Reactive: 93k

Prior to the patch, Reactive Interface did around 5k damage per run.

Re-install? Mine works fine.

OK, I did a speed unlock & got the t2 reactive on my elec/fire/mu farmer last night.

I did not see the kind of #s you guys are talking about. Instead, I saw pretty much what I was expecting. T2 reactive contributed about 17% of my damage (T3 does about 25% on my scrapper). This seems inline with the power level of the other incarnate powers (esp Judgment, if I had Judgment, it would be doing more damage than Reactive) - aside from Lore which is just kinda meh in most circumstances.

Burn wasn't going crazy with the reactive procs... I wonder what is driving you guys' numbers up so high?

Especially on the plant/storm... Do confused mobs proc reactive now?? I'll have to test on my plant/fire later. I'm thinking this is just because you are a low damage AT, yet have aoes to trigger the procs (also, you left out pet & creeper damage from the totals, those #s are decent on my dom). I haven't run my fire/storm since the changes, but Ill try and do a round with him as well and see where his T3 comes out.

Here are the complete totals from Hero Stats after a couple of runs. (Three, I believe.) I didn't use Fly Trap or Tornado, so those are excluded. "Bonus Damage" should be the four procs in Creepers, three in FR, and one in Roots.

Code:
Bonus Damage.....................101066.88
Carrion Creeper Vine (Pet).........1585.53
Entangle..........................16772.52
Fissure...........................36285.01
Ion Total Core Judgement..........37173.68
Reactive Interface...............266930.63
Roots.............................26939.71
Strangler............................63.80
Vine Smash (Pet)...................1733.12
Vine Thorns (Pet)..................2135.08
TOTAL............................490685.96
I'm reasonably sure that the confused mobs don't proc each other.

Interesting. My #s from plant/fire dom, t3 reactive, before the most recent change:

plant/fire.......
.47.44%
lore pets.........
11.14%
creepers+procs.
...18.31%
t3 judge..........05.45%
plant pet.........
02.83%
mako pet.........
10.26%
reactive..........04.57%

The "plant/fire" part is just all my personal damage.

How often are you using your Judgment? I'm surprised to see it that low. I'll run a test tonight with the changes and see if I get an improvement like you did. Beltzhak is probably right about a lot of it coming from FR, I've heard reports of similar performance from a friend.

Here's my data from a HS snapshot from before the patch, using T3 Pyronic Judgement rather than Ion:

Code:
Bonus Damage.............137,282 (38%)
Creeper Vine..............40,340 (11%)
Entangle..................18,942 ( 5%)
Fissure...................47,092 (13%)
Pyronic T3................31,742 ( 9%)
Reactive T4...............21,373 ( 6%)
Roots.....................57,684 (16%)
Seismic Smash..............1,354 ( 0%)
Strangler....................249 ( 0%)
Vine Smash.................2,959 ( 1%)
Vine Thorns................5,089 ( 1%)
TOTAL....................364,106
I tend to use Judgement whenever possible, but complete the mission in under 4 minutes -- so 2 - 3 times per mission?

I've been running the FIRE! farm +4/+8 with bosses and it definitely takes me more than 4 minutes. More like 10 maybe?

I'm using a variation on what I think was an ultrawatt build refined by Devian. Post it below. The issue is that I still get hit even with veng up -- also the rage crash seems to wipe out veng, or do something weird to it. Rage crash seems to apply the def debuff now, I thought it didn't do that if you stacked it?

Anyway, with eating reds, I run between 400-600% dmg (with fury). But it seems to take a long time to kill things with all the rezzing and the bosses. What am I missing?

The primary reason Reactive procs are contributing so much damage is that their powers do very little damage, but tick several times per second. Each tick may only do 1 damage by itself, but the reactive proc adds 10 more damage 75% of the time. In addition, going from tier 2 for a 25% chance to tier 3 for a 75% chance of fire damage makes a HUGE difference.

Your Scrapper probably doesn't have any "rain" powers that tick several times per second. The numbers you described seem normal for a character that is using normal attacks which don't exploit the proc.

I was worried about this, so I tested it myself. I left Rage double-stacked and did not get the defense penalty. I also re-applied Rage during the crash and the defense penalty went away. I was watching my combat attributes to confirm this.

Are you sure you're double-stacking Rage? Could the hits be coming from streak-breaker? Everything has a minimum of 5% chance to hit and streak-breaker ensures they will hit 5% of the time if they miss too often.

Your build looks fine. Try to make an attack chain so you use the best AoE attacks as often as possible. Don't forget to use Fiery Embrace often.

Not quite, but at least the fear is gone. It still suffers from less damage since half of the damage is put up front and has a target cap of only 5 enemies, whereas if it weren't it would alternate that damage to all the enemies around you evenly.

Granite, you might be trying to reactivate veng while it still up. Which doesnt work, you have to wait for it to wear off before you can reapply it. But it could just be timed weird so that this always ends up happening during a rage crash. Thats all i can come up with.
