When I can walk into an AE farm, with high recharge, double stacked rage, spiritual alpha and conduct my farming business without END being a bottleneck to performance then nothing in your argument appears to be reflected in reality. You can go back and see my build, there is end reduction in my attacks, but only the little that came with my chosen IO sets, there is no sacrifice to damage, much unlike the sacrifice in damage that results it cardiac versus spiritual.

Can I run out of end? Absolutely. Do I? Yep. But this is only when I am not paying close attention and get hit by an ill-timed rage crash and wasn't thinking about consume timing. I do sometimes pop a blue, but it is rare. Also, even if blue use was relatively heavy,which it is not, the recharge granted by spiritual far outweighs the loss of a few blues, I am frequently damage capped for the majority of the run, meaning there is a proportion of inspirations that are wasted entirely.

As far as the gapless attack chain, I'm not sure what's wrong or who, I just know if I am standing around and spamming my 4 attacks, there doesn't seem to be a gap. After rereading Arcanville's animation time game mechanics post, it is possible that I may have not been been as vigilant as I could have been making sure there is always a attack queued, the lag arcanaville discovered from not queue, could mask a gap in my chain. I will make it a point to make the video tonight, as well as make it a run where all attacks a properly queued, if there is a gap, we will all get to see how much impact it makes, it should also clear up any misconceptions regarding endurance usage.

Make all IO's available in Paragon Market! NCSoft, the chinese are making BIG money selling influence and other stuff in the game. Best way to stop them = make the paragon market a place to buy all IO's and perhaps other things as well.

Lol wut?

On my farmer, my attacks are slotted with purples meaning not much end redux. I also have tier 4 spiritual. Because of the high recharge, consume is up quite fast. Around 40ish seconds. (varies due to FF proc) Also when farming, inspirations drop like crazy. So if I do run low between the times that consume is up, chances are, I have a blue handy. The split second it takes to pop a blue does not slow you down at all.

Sure, I alrdy respeced out of Elec and back into soul epic. I was farming alot faster with that. but i hated using elec on iTFs and what not But taht time and pic was with soul. I don't know mission numbers just names. Fire cybor 999+ votes, is the mission. and if your farming EXP it's way better to use that than other front loaders. ESP dual farming. but if ticket farming use front loader mission.

Welp....decided to check out all the Elec/Fire/* stuff myself and finally rolled one. He's at 50 and IO'd now, sitting on around 25% F/C Def and 85% Rech for as cheap as I could get it (no purps, LoTG mule-only powers, etc..). I built him the same way I did my Fire/Fire/Mu Brute, but he's noticeably slower so far. I don't know if that's b/c I haven't gotten the level shift yet, or what...but....eh, not impressed. Times below started right before engaging the mob and right after killing last foe.

My Fire/Fire/Mu on Frontload @+4x8 w/bosses = 3min 25sec avg and around 2.75m inf/min. This could go up or down depending upon the luck of insps dropping, but I can sit around there pretty comfortably.

My Elec/Fire/Mu on Frontload @+4x8 w/bosses = 4min 45sec to 5min 15 sec after multiple runs. This toon is built the same way (same rech, same Fire def, etc) as my other toon, but despite the awesomeness of the FF: +Rech Proc, just not liking it too much.

That's my findings/opinions so far...I'll tweak my tactics a bit here and there and see if they help, and I'm hoping level shift gives me more than I'm anticipating in the way of return on these runs. Tossing it out there for anyone that cares.

I've been working on an elec/fire/mu as well. I've come away more pleased than you I guess. By 47, with ~32% f/c & 110% rech it was doing my preferred farm mish (FIRE!) at something like 6:30 or less on 2/8/bosses. Not uber fast, but no lotg or level shift yet, and much faster than my fire/fire/pyre tank and probably close to how fast my ss/fire/mu was at that point.

The ss is currently faster, but he's using a veng build, and I'm not going to do that with the elec/. So, while she may be a bit slower (and I won't know until I get her level shifted, get a couple more lotg and move up to my usual 4/8/bosses), I've found that she is just way more fun to play. No rage crashes, and FE+LR is good, clean, disgusting fun for the farming family. I can see how /soul would actually work fine, as I usually have a spare aoe or two that I don't fire off in my attack chain. Also, I was surprised at how well Thunderstrike came out in the herostats #s.

Cheap e/f/m build if anyone is curious (I took the cone for kicks, I'm tired of ball lightning, take ball if you want optimal). Just remove the lotgs (which I don't even have yet) & the oblits to save $$:

I just used up a vetspec and I have to say....I'm WAY happier with Soul! I wouldn't have thought it, but it just meshes better with the toon (for me) than Mu. Since the rest of Elec is so bursty, the DoT from Mu just didn't seem to work well it it for the +4 bosses. Mu, however, on my Fire/Fire Brute is wonderful...but the extra instant big up-front hit from Dark Oblit has made me really enjoy the toon a good bit more. I know there are some DoT ticks in Soul, and with Gloom...just taking note of my perceptions at least. Speaking of which, Elec being a bit Single Target weak, yay for Gloom...

Another thing, as you hinted at earlier....Elec is just fun. I'm sure that's worth more than another .5m/min anyway in the long run.

I just deleted a Claws/Fire at 43ish....I think I'm done with Fiery Aura in the meantime. Always wanted to try War Mace with it though...argh.

Wanted to pop back in with a quick update....got the level shift this afternoon and I've been doing +4x8 w/bosses non-stop for the SG. I was netting around 1.8-1.9 before the shift on that diff and now I'm doing 2.5-2.6 each time. Just a tad slower than my bestest farmer, and quite a bit more fun. I'm pleased!

Edit: Curious to see times or inf/min on a claws/fire if anyone has any. My apologies if I overlooked that (if it was already posted). Thanks again to all that chimed in with info/stats for these comparisons!

What do I do it with?

And the only purple I have is the stun one.

Meh I miss the old fire/fire tank days.. But I just started a Energy/fire brute and its pretty fun hopefully it doesnt fizzle out and make me bored like all my other brutes.

I rolled up a Claws/Fire thinking it would hit similar numbers as the SS/FA Brutes in this thread, and it isn't even close. I stripped it down and turned it into a regular PvE build, so I guess all you have is my word, which probably isn't worth much. I was greatly disappointed.

I'm glad to hear you having fun on ur elec, My farming attack chain is Burn, Dark oblit, LR, TS. I hit TS every time there's not a power up which is once every 6 seconds I believe. and i hit LR after Burn and Oblit just fired off to kill the remaining bosses insteading of 1 shotting the minions. I hope you went t4 recharge. But with Mu is was Burn, Ball lighting, Fences, LR and TS when ever and i felt like it been 10 seconds. with Mu i never had a time where any AoE power was down. always seemed to have 1 of burn or Ball lighting or fences up. But have you tried your elec for an iTF? It just make's teaming so much better you and a kin can make any team a power team vs lvl 52s and below. With Mu i staying around 2.9 to 3 million/minute influ with soul i'm staying at 2.7m/minute but Soul is awesome outside of AE, Elec/fire DMG burst is king in PvE :P

Tubby - Thanks for the info on your experience with Claws/FA.

iMidget - I don't know if it was from the boredom of always taking Mu for the Fire Farmers on my alt account (spread on a few servers), but I just find soul a better fit for me with this combo. I had Mu a few days, but wanted to try something oddball with it, I did, and I'm pleased with it. With all the new i20 content the extra ST dmg for the 54 AV's (w/gloom) is also handy.

I just made a war mace/fire brute because I wanted to be different lol. But seriously war mace has tempted me a few times before because of it's high damage AOE attacks unlike ss which are more melee attacks. I also have a fire/fire tank, one of my first toons which is now enjoying a second life... and I just deleted a 50 ss/wp brute because I didn't like the wp set. I have a nrg/wp stalker and the wp set is different for stalkers than it is for brutes. my stalker with wp dies very rarely but my ss/wp brute was squishy no matter how I slotted it or hanced it. The war mace/fire brute looks like it will be fun (it's 32 now). I picked a shovel for the weapon and built a whole theme around it in the name and costume. The bone weapon option was hard to resist I was going to name it 'bam bam' but that was taken lol. So anyone with war mace/fire brute? what do you think?

But you must have been doing something wrong there. My SS/WP is as tough or tougher than most stoners I've played with.

Alot of people say the best farmer is the farmer you enjoy playing the most. Alot of those people haven't gone 1-50 in 3-4 hours. Nuff said... JK yea Axe I could see 2.3M/minute or higher if properly sloted and incarnated. That Cone is no joke. 115 base it should be hitting max targets.. you know if it's 8/10/16 foes max?

I don't know. I'm not a total noob but I'm not a finely aged vet either ( I love to say that lol ) although I am a total addict and probably play more than a lot of people. That said I'm still learning about slotting. In almost a year on this game I've talked to so many people that all have different opinions on how to slot from 'it's not needed' (lol) to 'frankenslotting'. So I got me some mids and respected that darn brute so many times... I could never get lethal/smashing def over 20% no matter what I did. I'm talking 5 7.5's, enzyme hami's, set bonus' w/ focus on defense... and spent I don't even know how much 1... maybe 2 billion? or more? I don't keep track cuz if I did it might make me sad lol. So if you have a mids build to share or advice about slotting I'm ALL EARS. =)

im havin a blast on mine and i only have regular IO's except for one performance shifter proc. i hate the rage crash on ss.

im running at 2/8 just fine and im sure if i took the time to add set io's i could go a lot faster and bump it to 4/8 easily.

Since the new incarnates are out, the quote above, if it was arguable that it is not true about the farmers having problems with rage, IT IS obsolete now.

I am the owner of a really great farmer in Freedom, an SS/Fire/Mu, Abysmal-Terror. I would pair him up vs any Elec/Fire brute any day.

The new incarnates makes him even more beastly. Ageless, even at T3, makes him even more powerful and never has any end issues at all. Judgement, ION FTW, gives him something to do during the short Rage crash. I use Judgement during the Rage crash, and temp dmg powers. With people in my team, the troublesome Cyborg farm, which has the mobs too spread out for the likes of many, is cleared in 5 minutes, at 54x8, again, with people on the team. I let customers time me if they want on Cyborg. I have timed and issue challenges to other brutes, even elec/fire to do Cyborg and not one has met the challenge in Freedom server. Fastest time I have recorded on elec/fire brute on Cyborg is 6 mins 53 secs.

FIRE ! is a joke now. I just show up now and it's over.

Make all IO's available in Paragon Market! NCSoft, the chinese are making BIG money selling influence and other stuff in the game. Best way to stop them = make the paragon market a place to buy all IO's and perhaps other things as well.

You sure that's not fire cybor map +999? I've gotten about 8 50s off that map, so i've been useing it some time now.

I reran the 999+ fire cyborg mission with my Incarnate Plant/Storm controller: +4/x8/no bosses, I cleared the first floor in 4:20, earning 1.63M inf/min -- a total of just over 7M inf for the run.

iMidget Perfection's numbers show he earned just over 10M inf for the run above. So Seeds of Confusion cost me 30% of the total inf? Wow. (Of course, I'm not sure I could survive the ambushes without confusion....)

Clearly, I'm never going to catch up to the *smash* of the brutes in this thread. But it has been fun trying to push my controller to extremes.
