    My Widow was my third-favorite 50, with two high-end purple builds -- one Nightwidow, one all-ranged hovering Fortunata. Once I respeced into a melee Fortunata, she quickly became my favorite Incarnate.

    Perma-hasten, capped M/R def without ML, perma-ML anyway, dual-assault, claw attacks, aoe controls, and a couple of ranged attacks for runners. The greatest thing about Widows is how much flexibility we have in crafting our character!

  2. Your build looks very solid, and should be fun to run on TFs and trials.

    Here's my current Plant/Storm build on live. Fumi brings a ton of damage, control, and debuffing to TFs and trials. I tend to use Tornado only for AVs and other large immovable objects. Against large spawns I usually spam seeds, freezing rain, roots, lightning storm, ice storm, as they recharge.

    I think I've squeezed almost all possible +recharge into my build. I skipped 02 Boost, Spirit Tree, Hurricane, and Snow Storm, but have near-capped S/L defense and 200% global recharge. A little fiddling could probably get the S/L defense to 45%.

    Maybe the tech used for DP's swap ammo could be used here? I suspect the +RES portion could be coded to work only while human, and the powers themselves could be set to stay on while shifted. Those two changes would allow the +RES to resume as soon as you dropped to human form. However, you'd still be paying endurance to maintain them while shifted.

    To work around the continuous end problem, perhaps the powers could get a +recovery aspect that only worked while shifted? That way you'd still pay the end cost, but your recovery could be boosted to offset?
  5. With all the toggles on, Mids shows me burning 2.22 end/sec. I do have the +END accolades, so my base recovery is 3.61 end/sec.

    Incarnate-wise, I have Alpha T4: Cariadc Core Paragon (45% end reduction enhancement to all powers; two thirds of which ignores ED) and Destiny T4: Ageless Core Epiphany (full end refill every 2 minutes and +100% Recovery).

    Between the two T4 Incarnate powers, I very rarely need to pop a blue.
  6. Looks like a very solid build. Was your aim to take all primary and secondary powers? When hasten is up, the recharge on FR and CC will be good, and the procs will definately add significant damage.

    Given that you've built somewhat for defense, can you find a way to add another slot to both Lightning Storm and Ice Blast? If so, you could 6-slot both with Thunderstrike for an additional 5% ranged defense. The 45% soft cap is a long way off, but you might want to aim for 33% - 35%, where one small purple would take you over the soft cap.

    Personally, I prefer to build for excessive recharge rather than explicit defense, as fast-recharging AOE mezzes can provide a ton of protection. Honestly, I don't know if I could squeeze any more recharge out of my build. I'm addicted to +recharge.

    Last week's patch changed how the Reactive Interface DoT proc works in psuedo-pets (FR, CC, Ice Storm, etc). Prior to the change, the damage proc had a chance to fire against every target in the aoe on every tick of damage from these powers.     Now these powers can only trigger the proc once per 10 seconds and can only hit one target. The one-target limit is a bug that will (hopefully) get fixed sooner rather than later.

    Seeds of Confusion is a cone. Vines, Roots, and Spore Burst are all Targetted AOE -- and should all work just fine while standing in the middle of a spawn.

    If using Seeds to blunt the alpha strike, then I imagine your power sequence would be:

    - approach mob, target one foe, hit seeds
    - jump in, hit fulcrum shift
    - ???
    - profit!

    Runners might be my XP leak. I ran the mission again and earned just under 8 million inf in 2:37 -- 3.01 M inf/min. Definitely good speed, but still not up to top brute-level smashing.

  20. Your build looks good -- some of the IOs are expensive, but I don't think you'll break the bank acquiring what you've planned.

    Some feedback:

    - I'd drop one proc from FR and add another recharge IO. That gets the recharge time much closer to Seeds should allow you to open every fight with Seeds and FR.

    - Plant/Storm with high amounts of global recharge eats a ton of endurance. I went with both T4 Cardiac Core Alpha and T4 Ageless Core Destiny, which was probably overkill. You might aim for only one or the other and get some additional utility out of the other slot.

  22. I'd like to see what you finally settled on -- I love build theorycraft almost as much fun as bashing bad guys.

    Overall, I skipped Frost Breath because I wanted Frozen Armor, and didn't think I had enough post-40 slots to get all I wanted out of the epics. I'll take a look at it, but I bet the animation time is killer at 2.67s. I already have Ragnarok slotted in Ice Storm and am maxed out on 6.25% +recharge bonuses, so I'll have to do some serious Mids-fu to see if I can squeeze it in.
  23. I've tended to use either the Grandville Conference room map or one of the generic medium warehouses (ala "FRONTLOADED!"/Fuzzy Kittens). The other fire ambush missions tend to use a lab map with clickable doors -- I'm not as big a fan, as the bigger room lets the bad guys spread out more.

    If you want to try a few, I tend to rotate between "FRONTLOADED!", the "Fire Cyborg" mission (find via that string, 999+ votes), and my own story arc.
  24. You might also move the FF +Rech proc to Fissure, where it will proc often against large spawns.
  25. I do find myself using ice blast for finishing off bosses. Swapping that out for hibernate might be a good trade, and might free up some slots for other powers.

    The aoe sleep is really just a mule for the purple set -- I almost never use it. Looking over the build now, I could juggle powers around and swap spore burst for spirit tree, hurricane, or snow storm. Spirit Tree would add nicely to my survivability, and slotting with Doctored Wounds would only cost me a net 5% recharge. Hmmm...
