Whats the fastest way to get the heck out of Praetoria?

I made my first Praetorian a few days ago and he is level 12. I really want to get him out of Praetoria but since i know nothing about the zone I really dont have any quick xp knowledge.

I mean regular world hero side its straight to the sewers.. Then Kings Row for radio missions.. Jet Pack.. to Steel Canyon.. a few Posi's then a Synapse.. BANG im level 20 onto Talos Island and smooth sailing from there...

On Gold Side I have no idea what to do. Is there a TF or Trial I should be doing to get some nice levels to get me to 20 so I can get my Hero Dom into the regular world so I can team with my friends ??

The hard things I can do--- The impossible just take a little bit longer.

If numbers are so much more important than a teammate who is fun to play with, forget about the game altogether and go play with a calculator instead. -Claws and Effect-

Sadly, there aren't any TF or Trials to join.

Lady Winter farming in the Pocket D is probably the fastest way, although that may get a bit boring. Other than that you're just going to have to join teams and level yourself out of there the old fashioned way.

AFAIK, teaming is the only real 'shortcut' to burn through it fast, if that is your goal. I have lingered and enjoyed the ride with everyone I've brought through, myself.

"The old fashioned way" still includes TFs.

I am one of those that haven't really enjoyed Praetoria (mostly because I can't seem to find a team). I, too, wish for the lvling that comes with Posi and Synapse.

Ironically Praetoria right now is a little bit like how leveling in CoH/CoV was a few years ago. Without speedy "trick" ways like farming AE or boring brain-dead ways like jumping in the sewers Praetoria actually encourages you to play through the mission content it provides. What a shame.

But seriously even without any obvious way to sprint to 20 it really doesn't take -that- long regardless. If anything I have more problems with accidentally outleveling things I want to do there rather than making it to 20 ASAP.

I would probably be a lot more interested in the content if I were not trying to replace another character. I built a Earth/Thermal to 50 but I dont like that combo and the Earth/Fire Dom will work much better. I basically want to get him out of Praetoria so I can start teaming with my friends.

Any other time I would be far more interested in the content.

Large teams.

Seriously, that's it. (Halfway competent teammates should be considered a given.)

*agree*

Something else to keep in mind is that the Primal Earth characters can come and help you now. So don't be afraid to hop on a global channel, shout "praetorian team getting together, running Her Majesty Queen Bobcat's missions, looking for team-mates"

Getting on a team is a pretty much guaranteed way to bypass all the content in Praetoria at a breakneck pace. If even that is too slow for you, or you have problems finding teams...you may want to consider remaking your character as a non-praetorian.

define fastest... I'm finding I can solo a character out pretty fast

Probably the best way to manage it, if you can get your friends to cooperate, is to get them all into Praetoria to help you level.

I know I haven't started any new Praetorians for just this reason. I'm waiting for my SG to get around to creating some Praetorians so we can run through it together.

Alternately, you could go ahead and create the character on villain side so you can switch him once he gets to 20. If you have some allies that have gone Vigilante they can help there. But of course that means losing 12 levels of progress.

Doing Praetoria fast is rather missing the point of making a Praetorian.

That said, I find Praetorians level faster than any Hero or Villain I've ever made(and I play solo for the most part).

Out of curiosity, how does the XP for groups running the Praetorian events in Imperial City (Syndicate Takedown), Nova Praetoria (The Protest), and Neutropolis (The Great Escape) compare with sewer runs?

Having left Praetoria a few times now, teaming has proven to be the fastest. 3-4 people can steamroll through the content very quickly and the constant dinging of people, while at first enjoyable, becomes surprisingly annoying lol

No xp for praetorian events.

Invite your friends to join you.

Primal characters can reach Praetoria via Pocket D. Then you'll be with your friends, and as a bonus, you'll have a team, which gets you faster levels, and therefore out of Praetoria.

Personally, I've found leveling in Praetoria to be faster than I remember leveling in Primal. I rolled a mind/psi dom there the other weekend and played her solo for maybe 12 hours total that weekend and she's level 14 now. I don't think I've ever leveled that fast while solo before. All I did was run what arcs she got and didn't "waste" any time dealing with the market or buying enhancements yet.

If you're not looking to get the stories of Praetoria, get as many people on the team as you can and go! 8 person team will have you flying through the levels.

I think I'm one of the few people that never really made a Praetorian until recently, but I just took a Stone/Elec Brute through the Resistance Crusader arcs solo and got all the way through Praetoria in probably a day tops. I was pretty shocked at how fast it went.

So yeah, I imagine a full team could speed things up a lot.

I have been in the D and taking some runs with those missions. Sadly, Praetoria has become a grind for me. I have stopped making toons there.

I think the devs made a mistake by separating the players...again. It seems they have this idea that we enjoy not being able to take our toons all over the place lol. Seriously, now we are stuck in Praetoria until level 20. Not much fun. Same old, same old. One day they may add something new and fun but I am not holding my breath. Maybe even a TF or something.

Honestly, I think 3 zones was a mistake for GR. I hope 20-50 is 2 zoned tops. Use the resources to add things to do instead of giving us vast territory to run around in.

This will be my first and last foray into Praetoria until they open the zone up completely. IMO it was stupid to make in so restrictive from the beginning and without some TF's and Trials for the lower level characters to enjoy.

If you mean "allow Loyalists and Resistance to go to Paragon City / Rogue Island before 20" I'm not sure they ever can do that, given the story in Praetoria and the effort involved in getting there at 20.

If you mean add two TFs for the teens then yes, absolutely.

I'm in the same boat with Praetoria I think, I made a few melee types recently and all have stalled. Think I'll remake the Scrapper Blueside instead and use the sewers to speed-run to 10 before doing the Kings Row & Faultline stuff.

There was a complaint that the story arcs ended with a solo only arc. As this discouraged teaming and caused some early complaining they have added a radio style contact. 8 man teams fly through praetoria at sewer level speeds all the way to 20 without having to stop to do radio's in KR. Bonus you can rez in a hospital, or level; and still get to your team. Unlike the sewers.

Well here's the thing, Praetoria is all about STORY. If this is your first toon there, sit back and relax and enjoy the ride. It's not like there's a lot of new and unique things to do and see once you're out of there.
