Quote:Maybe easier than that. I found this old link and someone added pieces to the old stand alone CC before. Its not quite that simple. But it might be possible to look at how the Korean CC did the "loop back" to make the character data local, and hack the real game clients to do that. Also, the real clients need to actually connect to real servers to allow you to make characters because real characters are stored on a game server. But faking that out might be a lot less difficult than recreating an entire server instance.

I agree completely. There were a lot of Guild war players that have a lot of fond memories and will play at length. All those fantasy MMO's just seem like dumbed down versions of WOW vanilla to me. Boring!

Quote:GW2 has sold out. They stopped selling digital copies of the base game. You could still get it from retailers but Arena NEt/NCSoft had to stop selling the game.Well GW2 isnt off to a good start.
I bought it on launch, installed it, and played it. Got to 12.
Next day my email isnt recognized. I have been waiting 3 days for a reply. Its tuesday now. Nothing. I've sent 4 support questions and still nothing. Last one I told them about giving my a full refund so I'll have to wait and see what they say to that.
GW2 is also not doing as hot as they planned. I feel like they will lose money and definitely fan base over this whole ordeal. Lots of issues going on that i've read.
So if you wanted to focus your future on games that are failing, by my guest.
Some people don't learn unless they fall.
One of the reasons is it over performed estimates. That's why you are having issues with support not responding in a timely manner. I think they will be fine for a long while now.
It just looks boring to me though. Tor is too. I keep thinking stat sticks for all item drops. Enhancements were too, but made it hard, for me, to think of them that way. -
Most companies lease thier data center space. Power and cooling cost have risen to the point were in most cases you would be better off leasing floor space off to a company dedicated to data center infrastructure. They would be able to handle physical security better as well.
If NC needed more servers they would have bought more servers and leased more space. I doubt this had to do with making room on some data center floor in cali. Also the servers still going may have to with the lease held where the COH servers are hosted.
If you are payed up to November may as well keep it going. -
That kind of sounds like you are looking at enhancment value percentages and not the actual totals.
I say this because I'm not sure how any blaster gets anykind of 90ish defense in anything without 2 or 3 ice and FF defenders near him, or get capped resist.
Or is it possible with /force, did you toggle off PFF? That could skew results that far also. It will not allow you to attack while active.
edit: all you figured it out =p -
My traps/sonic was a joy to solo with. Siren's song is useless though due to all the dots from acid mortar and time bomb shenanigans. PGT and SD with ffg are usually enough mitigation though.
And with just SO's you can stack acid mortars as well. with IO's you can Incarnate soft cap as well as stack triage beacon for very good regeneration while stacking sonic on everything. Things melt.
Time M. can be made to tank and make use of the SS screech combo as well.
Does anyone know if fire upset sonic as the defenders most damaging blast set? -
Quote:Yeah I remember them in KR being slightly level inappropriate. Nothing like level 30's in KR.I remember distinctly that they were conning blue (-1). Now they may have had Level 30 abilities. This was in the day where Level 10 Outcasts minions in Steel were calling up Hurricane every other attack, or so it seemed.
Thanks for reminding me about the old Outcast -
Pre issue 1 invasions. Basically +4x8 to the max level for the zone of, Soldiers of Rularuu!
Kings Row had level 15ish wandering packs of the Eyeballs. This did not end in a timely fashion like todays events either. They stayed, wandered, and respawned for an entire week. Remember there was no fancy ninja run at level 4 in those days either. -
Quote:Softcapped on SO's at 24 with ranged damage. Sounds like a tank mageJust a thought on this...
Take a Soldier. Replace Rifle with a new weapon skin (gatling gun), use the tailor to make Armor to fit. There you go!
Fits perfectly in line with what we have currently available without being a TankMage (unless you consider Soldiers TankMages).
Also Space Marine the RTS is balanced via a population cap and cost per unit. SM the shooter is just get uber to blast noobs. Basically it is a FPS not an RPG nor MMORPG. It was never meant to be balanced and since they sell wargear as DLC it certainly isn't balanced in MP. -

Quote:I was speaking more on benefits of SBEs. On that note how much do level 46 LOTG +recharge cost on consignment compared to cost of a level 25 one?All procs are usable in their set level range so SBE does not bring anything new on this matter and procs doesn't change effectiveness with their crafted level so no new development in there either. Although crafting may a valid point you can always buy a crafted on from AE which brings thing down to paying with inf vs paying with money and that is all about the difference.
That is what I'm talking about. The SBE will always provide the maximum defense at the level you are and what you exemplar to. It will also work as low as possible just like the more expensive level 25 ones.
Damage procs yeah, just get the lowest one but I was speaking of SBE's in general. -
The reason for SBE for me is that I hate the crafting consignment meta game. I like TF's and merits is how I IO'd out my heroes. The second reason is that they are always usable within the level range of the set. Not to mention the end game is meh to me.
IO's bonuses, outside pvp ios/purples, are not available when you down level for said TF's either.
I don't only use SBO's (I do play the consignment house game of thrones now and again), but there are definite upsides to using them. As vip I get 400 points a month to blow anyhow. -
Quote:If you pick power boost and hit it prior it is near 21% defense and 12ish to hit, slotted for Defense.Going by theory, Thugs/Time seems to be the winner. 16% unbuffed defense from the stacked lieutenants' auras, plus 9.375 from Time, plus a 9.375 -to hit PBAoE aura a tankermind can actually position themselves to use, plus an AoE heal for pets to recover from bodyguard damage. This seems like the easiest combo to both cap defense and have an AoE heal. Is the boss pets' taunt abilities too much for a tankermind to overcome? Or is there something else I'm missing that brings this combo down?
I do not know how much defense the enforcers manevers provides so if as you stated the Lt's not slotted for defense enhancment is 16% then;
10% for pet uniques
4.05 from your manuevers
20.96 from power boosted Farsight
51.01 defense for the pets.
It should be easy to soft cap sm/lt/energy with scorpion shield, man, and faright, yourself. Add in the regen to the pets, and yourself, from perma cronoshift and TM. the added to hit from farsight, and Times Junture would just be gravy.
I would bet time is a contender for sure! -

Explains what happens in pretty good detail. If any of those 50's are a force field defender (or a new time whatever), or super reflexes/shields/energy AR you should notice what happens. -
Yep I usually get it by doing the "The Magic Man" arc from Mercedes Sheldon heroside, if I hadn't picked it from a random portal there and getting the badge in Ouro.
I beleive you get the Devil's Time Piece as a collection and get the badge. I never check my collections but you definitely get the badge and portal.
That one is missing from the wiki page -
I'm sorry this has happned.
I'm also sorry for hijacking this so bad.
From CNN
One of the injured was just 3 months old, according to hospital workers.
Who brings a 3 month old to a midnight showing? -
I just wish they would add the fast upgraded hover to TP and not the old super slow (and unenhancable in TP) hover.
The hover speed should be as fast as sprint. That will fix the TP near a mission door and just be out of rech of clicking it. Then super slow hover a little bit to be able to click it giveing you the normal mission entrance speed.
I have a very fast connection and a good PC. Sometimes you have to turn though and that begins the fall.
This is all from just TP from a Warshade though. I do not have the option of adding hover.I don't know if adding hover overrides the TP slow hover. -

Rage on. Rage at those kids and thier insanely fast fingers. Is there a robot out there doing this for people that I'm not aware of?
Rage at my slow aging fingers. I can only type 80ish words per minute, baring no robot much slower than others. I turn even older this week
See yall made me hate kids and my self. -
Exceptionally frustrating.
Its a pic so no cut and paste using a browser. Not to mention they are all gone within seconds. I'm randomly picking my first one from the middle also.
Why not release 1 code that can be entered for 5-10 minutes from the tweet? -
