I saw a bunch of those "City of Hero" packages, and as funny as some of them are, by far the funniest package was the one with six...SIX spider-mans (spider-men?) all identical, I could hardly contain my laughter.

But I hope strongly that they assume a meth-head somehow managed to hack into my forum account and make paper airplanes out of my posts, because I hope they recognize stupid when they see it. Did all six of them complain about not being able to remove the backpack?

I can understand that. I mean in my mind, about the only type of action figures that would be worthy of City of (and various other franchises) would be Figma, Revlotech, or something like a Gundam model kit. At least for mechanical designs. (Hey, kids, wouldn't you want a Perfect Grade IDF Warwalker model kit?)

I'm going to guess one of the two on the left, the other ones look too small.

Maybe the bigger Spider-men can fire the smaller ones at enemies with the bow...

Wouldn't stroking criminals just encourage them? Like if they does something bad, patting them on the head or hugging them might make them think it was ok to do it again.

when you hug them, that's when you activate your spines.

Depends on what I'm stroking them with. Might be a porcupine.

Well, if you're a REALLY repulsive guy stroking them, it'll be the perfect gambit!
They'll be so grossed out they'll attempt to take legal action to get rid of you, but instead they'll end up in jail! (Though they'll be happy anyway since they won't have to be stroked by you.)

While being a child, Marcus Cole and Stefan Richter drank from the Furies Well. Marcus Cole became Statesman and Stefan Richter became Spiderman. Statesman went to City while Spiderman went to Rogue. They are enemy. Many villains like not Statesman, like Chief of Clowns, Emperor Cold, Frost of Fire, and King Clockwork. Statesman fight all of them, he is strong. Spiderman also is not like him, so they fight.

Can you rewrite my next bio?

Wow, just wow.

On an unfortunately off-topic note, I would gladly pay 30-50$ for an action figure of one of my characters. Maybe a bit less if the scales were completely ignored to cut production costs. Seriously, if NC were to partner with a toy manufacturer(If toy biz, I'd probably not pay more than 20, but if it was MacFarlane or one of the other top end producers, I'd drop 50$ without thinking) and offer "custom" action figures of toons, I'd be so down for that in a heartbeat. Wouldn't be too hard to make interchangeable pieces that can be added to base model bodies. Then again, I don't know, maybe it would. But I can't imagine that it would be. Once they've got the parts produced, then it's just a matter of piecing characters together and painting 'em up.

I really don't know anything about this type of venture though. I just know it'd be fricking awesome, and considering that if you fudge the scales and just use interchangeable pieces that can be added to the base body, making a custom action figure (or 20) for each customer shouldn't be too bad. (Been a while since I've collected action figures, but they were running around 12-15 for a nice MacFarlane figure, double or triple that price to account for the customizing involved, maybe?).

Damn it, now I'm all thinking about it and how awesome it would be to have action figures of a dozen of my toons all chilling around my computer. Ok, maybe NC shouldn't do it, I'd go broke in no time...

For a while there, the Rock Band site was using that 3D printing technology to offer your specific characters as figures. Statues, really, obviously they weren't movable. But I ended up ordering a whole set of them, and they came out pretty good except for one minor issue with a specific hairstyle.

They were $80 apiece. So no, the technology's not inexpensive, but it COULD be done...

Perhaps tellingly, though, the Rock Band site no longer offers the service, at least at this time. So it's possible there wasn't enough of a demand to make it worthwhile, even at that price.

I do like the idea of being given a selection of parts that you could assemble and then paint yourself. I've actually done a repaint job on a figure that I didn't like the color scheme on.
