Where for art thou, posting devs?
Rampant speculation and conjecture! Woooooo! Everyone go crazy!
Unless you're getting paid by Paragon Studios or NCSoft, you have no idea why people aren't posting so much, other than the fact that some of the more vocal have moved on. Nakayama usually posts when he's on his own time, judging by the majority of his postings' time stamps, so perhaps he's got less of that at the moment.
I think the idea of posting something relevant when it's called for is a good idea, and when the leashes come off of those who aren't department heads yet, we'll see different names posting more often. War Witch is too chatty and personable to let the silence go for too long. Her State of the Game will be coming after the Winter Event, most likely, if not by the game Anniversary, which is when it usually happens. I wouldn't worry about a lack of fluff posts. I'd worry more about a lack of informative posts about future content.
Loose --> not tight.
Lose --> Did not win, misplace, cannot find, subtract.
One extra 'o' makes a big difference.

It's not as if they can really post anything useful until they are near an issue launch. And most certainly we AREN'T anywhere near launching issue 20. At all.
Blazara Aura LVL 50 Fire/Psi Dom (with 125% recharge)
Flameboxer Aura LVL 50 SS/Fire Brute
Ice 'Em Aura LVL 50 Ice Tank
Darq Widow Fortune LVL 50 Fortunata (200% rech/Night Widow 192.5% rech)--thanks issue 19!
Pretty much this. I'd rather the devs WORKING on issue 20, 21, etc than spending time on the forums fluffing our egos.

My guides:Dark Melee/Dark Armor/Soul Mastery, Illusion Control/Kinetics/Primal Forces Mastery, Electric Armor
"Dark Armor is a complete waste as a tanking set."
The dev/player community is (or was) one of the most attractive things this game has (or had). I don't want that taken away, not after I played WoW and watched Bluename after Bluename spout off things about the game that were absolutely incorrect.

Personally right before and after that, I've stopped caring.
EDIT: With that said when they are allowed to post/or have something to post I'm all for it, I just don't think it should be their primary or even secondary focus.

A game is not supposed to be some kind of... place where people enjoy themselves!
Maybe they're just off for the holidays, and some well deserved rest.
But if Arcana is right, I bet Avatea is breathing a great sigh of relief.

Wow...that's....wrong. You'd think a company would want their employees to have a good, close relationship with their customers. Then again, I guess as long as they continue to get their money they probably wouldn't care about such things. Just sheep to the slaughter.

I know it's not as fun as believing the sky is falling, pigs are flying, and the world will end in december 2012, but maybe, JUST maybe, (a) they're on christmas break and (b) even if they *would* post, they're being cautious while working on *whatever* is going on in i20.... you know, the same one we've been told participants have to sign an NDA in? So maybe, JUST maybe they're making sure they don't let anything slip ahead of time by being quieter than normal?
GG, I would tell you that "I am killing you with my mind", but I couldn't find an emoticon to properly express my sentiment.

Short version: After six years on CoH, he feels it's time to change scenery and work on something new. So his last day working for Paragon Studios will be December 24th.
Positron: "There are no bugs [in City of Heroes], just varying degrees of features."
...Damn =/
(also, wow, the forum even censor French...I'm impressed.)

total kick to the gut
This is like having Ra's Al Ghul show up at your birthday party.

Arc #271637 - Welcome to M.A.G.I. - An alternative first story arc for magic origin heroes. At Hero Registration you heard the jokes about Azuria always losing things. When she loses the entire M.A.G.I. vault, you are chosen to find it.
And in my defense, that actually sounds like something a company in 2010 would do. Sad, but true.

Its because there is always someone out there who doesnt like something even when they change it back from what it used to be.

I'm passionate about my City-Of hobby (no, not in the Pocket D sense). But I spend very little of my City-Of time on the forums. And some of the heroes and villains I run around with don't come here at all--among my super pals, I'm almost always the one to fill people in on new announcements on the website or the forums (it's a habit of mine to check the website for news before I log in). And these are people who play almost nightly, people who dream up imaginative story lines for their characters, people who are deeply invested in the game.
The point is, you don't have to care about these forums at all. It doesn't necessarily translate into passion for the game, not for everybody. I don't even feel like the forum community is representative of the community I'm a part of in the game (they feel like two different communities). The forums are often burning up in flames over changes, patches, issues, or booster packs that the in-game community at large seems pleased with.
I don't mean to undermine the value of the forums. There's no better way to have our suggestions heard. But I understand completely if some devs feel very passionate about City-Of, much moreso in fact than these forums. Point is, every time I log in, I see what they've done, what they're doing, hints of where they're going. I'm surrounded by it. It's proof of their passion.

I can believe the theory that there's some concern about openness if not some new restrictions.
That combined with the silly new rule will just discourage community, which is not what you do if you are a long running competitor to a high budget newbie.
