Um, i take it you somehow haven't actually seen the Praetorian salute yet. Unless they somehow fold space around their elbow, bending is necessary to perform the salute.
Or you're once again ignoring reality in favor of the crudely simplified caricature in your head.

Tyrant's official bio clearly states that he was able to "contain" their Hamidon and that the "Devouring Earth threat {has} ended". Either that account needs to be qualified, or his propaganda department has some explaining to do. Noble Savage admits Praetorian Hamidon is "poorly understood", at least by the general population, and that goes for the players, too. From what we know currently, Praetorian Hamidon may be more of a direct threat to Ouroboros.

In any case, I look forward to more information in upcoming issues.
I never denied that. In fact,as it happens on 1894, the Hamidon could well be used by the PRAETORIAN GOVERMENT ITSELF, to strike fear in its population, increasing they're fate that they are safe inside Praetoria. RL issues aside, one of the main reasons any politica/religiousl system is that it proclaims that salvation/safety is found only within its followers. At the Big Brother book, Airstrip 1 was constantly bombed by an "outside enemy"(that was,in reality, a truce between all socialist nations to attack each other and keep small skirmishes,so that they'd use this to control the population).

The first part of the animation is the important one

Hmmm, evolved Hamidon... tentacles in the forest... tentacles in future Ouroboros... Nemesis is Ouroboros leader... Coming storm... Shivans... Notes sent to you throughout time to put you against Ouroboros...

I GOT IT!!! Hamidon VS. Nemesis! Future Hamidon is/is greatly related to the Coming Storm! An alternate version of Dr. Hamidon Pasalima is the mysterious note-sender, working to stop his other more gooey/tentacley forms and Nemesis at the same time! Likewise, Shivans are gooey too, and so possibly related to Hamidon!

It's Dr. Pasalima, in Ouroboros, with the candlestick!
Everything is a Hamidon plot!

Wait--it's the SAME HAMIDON? He crosses dimensional barriers!?

Rereading Noble Savage's post, I take it to be a confirmation that Primal Hamidon is the one menacing Ouroboros - which is a better fit in the lore - and that Praetorian Hamidon is closer to that version (whenever it takes place). One scenario would be that Primal Hamidon takes X years to catch up to an evolutionary stage similar to the Praetorian version's current one. Time will tell...

Pshaw! Tthat is just a mechanical Tentacle created by Neuron to bolster Cole's fabricated Hamidon story.

Protector Server
Woeful Knight (BS/Regen/Body Scrapper)
Kevin Christian (MC/FF/Primal Controller)
SilverCybernaut (Eng/Dev/Munitions Blaster)
Apixie OhNo (Fire/Fire/Pyre Tanker)
Y'ru Glowen (Rad/Rad/Psy Defender)

Well then, clearly we need to keep up the Hamidon raids in order to prevent him from evolving to the tentacled behemoth that his Praetorian counterpart has become.

Here's my wild speculation - when we see the destroyed Ouroboros, it has a lot of tentacles surrounding it, but on Praetoria we only see one. So. The Incarnate Hamidon shows the Hamidons of other dimensions how to evolve, and they all join together to attack the menders so they can rule all of time and space.

I was talking about the "No that's not Hamidon" nay-sayers, but don't let me get in the way of a perfectly good strawman rant.

I'm no more suggesting you're a loyalist than you were calling me a nay-sayer. The GR threads on the topic of Praetorian politics are filled with both, so a pre-emptive strike seemed in order.

But by all means, return to your rubbing it in.

It might not be the "Well of Furies" that was drunk from, as Incarnates gain their powers by being chosen to the path and then deciding whether to dive head-long into, or piece-meal it.

If their "Praetorian" Hamidon is of Incarnate power base, it would make an interesting fight.

Sometimes, I impress my boss. Sometimes, I impress myself. The rest of the time, I scare people. I can live with that.

I'm hoping they push the threat of hamidon even further. The loyalist vs resistance dynamic is much more interesting when choosing resistance also means you choose to allow hamidon, something that literally killed over 90% of the human population, to run around unchecked in human settlements.

As it is, you only find out what a danger hamidon is if you actually read mission text. As a result there were tons of people on the beta boards talking about how there was no hamidon threat.

I think it would be pretty cool if there was a second tutorial mission involving hamidon, something that lets you see what a danger it is. That would make the resistance vs loyalist choice a bit more interesting, I think.

Active (Freedom): Setna (Ice/Psi Dom), Arram (WP/KM Tank), Tesmiel (Elec/SS Tank), Astredax (Robot/Dark Mastermind), Operative Vidali (melee fortunata)

Retired (Virtue): Gaav (Inv/EM Tank), Baqra (Fire/SS Tank)

Considering that even the Warden Resistance path involves getting a lot of blood on your hands and not even the worst you do in any of the Loyalist paths compare with the Par Course of the Crusader story-line... I'd say the choice still holds interest.

Yup, as i suspected it's the latter. You occasionally make posts that appear to show some actual insight and thought, so i can only guess that those topics are simply areas where your mind hasn't yet locked everything into rigid pigeonholes. Yet.

Well the old Flares animation meant that fire Blasters were constantly surrendering to enemies and then treacherously attacking them a half second later when they used their powers. After all, the first part of the animation had them raising their hands over their head in the surrender pose. And your Martial Arts Scrapper is probably making all sorts of lewd propositions to various monsters if you look at only the first part of some of those animations. Or how about the various ancient and modern militaries who all start(ed) their salutes with the same gesture?

Using the Stroke Victim Smiley in place of punctuation doesn't make your remarks any less vapid and trite. (Yeah, it's usually considered the Wink Smiley, but when used in your posts, well...)

RIP, Aaron.

Kudos to the writers on that arc... I've never been so moved by a video game character.

Actually, it seems likely that constantly attacking him is what accelerates his evolution. Which is double plus good in my opinion.

His last program is one of the most epic bits in the whole game.
