That picture has nothing to with any NDA - it was shown during the video presentation at one of the meet and greet panels last year.

They've been shown to dimension hop and time travel. That's right, they're ALL the real Nemesis

Other than being on the art assets, there was a previous image posted about CoH in either the Community Twitter or a website that previewed the content, darn me for not remembering it...anyways, it revealed the names of several NPCs in the file names.

I think that was just a "Hey look, maybe this is a costume set for you players" teaser.

The new USTREAM clears this up, that is Ascension armor, aka the Incarnate armor... it is unlockable armor sets, using Empyrean and Astral merits.

As for the Hamidon Tentacles, and they're relation to the Sewer Trail and Hydra, has anyone noticed the other similarities to Hamidon that the hydra share. Made of the DNA of common plant life, gooey, tentacles, etc. Could the Hydra be genetically engineered Hamidon lifeforms used by the Rikti against man in the war. Look at they're profile, and the way they move and compare that to the Shivans... Same profile, gooey, ties to space and otherworldly origin... could it be that the shivans are from the source hamidon organism the Rikti stole from to create the hydra.

I sincerely think the tentacles in the Alpha Slot unlock mission, are the Hamidon, but I do not think the Hamidon is the Coming Storm, I think it is part of the problem... the Coming Storm is imho a convergence of events in whch numerous threats hit at the same time, resulting in a crisis the likes of which not even the total number of heroes and villains can defeat, unless they are Powerful...

This threat is clearly multidimensional as the Well of the Furies is willing to destroy dimensional barriers to prevent it, and it is a threat to the Well's power, and perhaps it's very existence. You have to ask yourself what can threaten the Well of the Furies...

I leave you with that disturbing thought...

Words words words
A) The Hydra come from a different dimension all their own.

B) The Rikti stole the Hydra to use on Primal Earth, where they made the beast in the sewers.

C) Praetorian Earth never had a Nemesis (the dude died without turning evil), which means he wasn't there to start the Rikti War in that dimension (which would have been mighty inconvenient for the Rikti).

D) The Shivans are sentient leftovers from the destruction of the Shiva, and their 3D models were likely just based on the Hydra ones. No lore connection there.

Makes me wonder if the Hydra are really the final evolution for the Devouring Earth and Hamidon. The similarities between Hydra and DE are pretty startling at this point and line up very well with this new Hamidon.

Of course! It all makes sense! Cole's invasion threatens the fabric of the multiverse. This releases Rularuu who ravages and consumes everything. Rularuu's incursion awakens the Banished Pantheon gods who terrorize everything that Rularuu left in his wake. Then War Witch, Black Scorpion, Zwilinger, Beastyle, Positron, and Jay all commit simultaneous suicide. Eventually WWIII breaks out and SPOILER ALERT! North Korea wins.

to TO THE END!
Villains are those who dedicate their lives to causing mayhem. Villians are people from the planet Villia!
