Hamidon Sighting in Praetoria?
The hard things I can do--- The impossible just take a little bit longer.
If numbers are so much more important than a teammate who is fun to play with, forget about the game altogether and go play with a calculator instead. -Claws and Effect-
Because I don't support mass-murder, torture, brainwashing and world-wide genocide?

*waves little flag, yay bloodshed, torture, killing people!*

This is where something more interesting than my global and this sentence would be.
Seconded
The true question is this.....
Which Issue will we get to fight this baddie?
I'm lead to believe that by the time we are cut off from our Incarnate power source, IE. We are cut off at Omega by some plot driven force, we will be too busy dealing with Silos and his own Resistance. Maybe an issue or two after that?
Since Cole as a full blown incarnate was not able to defeat Hamidon, but only succeeded in containing him, my best guess is that once we have all 10 incarnate abilities, they will introduce a new Hami raid in Praetoria that will require multiple teams of incarnates to defeat him once and for all. I would say i25ish.
But then what would Tyrant have as an excuse to continue his dictatorship?

However, in terms of a plot device, I still don't think we'll face him when we get our last slot. We'll be too busy dealing with Mender Silos and his made up story of the "Coming Storm."
Ramiel is more of a friend than we are lead to believe. Perhaps even the Resistance against the Mender scheme. He wouldn't have been the only person left in Ouroborus, or the person we would trust with information on changing our past.
We've already altered the future far too much with the Incarnate actions, and quite obviously our Hamidon (Or Praetoria's) is now on our Earth, and capable of reaching the Ouroborus lair.
Well we are overthrowing the BAF in i20. Quite obviously he won't be in the favor of the public.

WHAT DO YOU MEAN OVERTHROWING BAF IN I20?
Is it on Open Beta yet?

Edit: Nevermind. Found it myself.

The screenshots on that link lead me to believe otherwise. It's Incarnate only, and it clearly states that we shouldn't let Mindwashed Prisoners escape.
No. There is however an Issue 20 Pre-Beta Sneak Peek on an MMO Review site. Check my posts for it, shouldn't be too far down. Under the speculation thread.

Awesome.Maybe we'll get some Loyalist stuff.Y'know,If you can do a mish to blow a hospital, you could protect Mother's Hospital from a Resistance Attack.Would be cool!

EDIT: I think a revamp of somewhere like Boomtown could give an opening for loyalist content - like Tyrant's stormtroopers could have set up a forward base as part of the invasion, so loyalists who chose to still serve Tyrant when they left Praetoria could have Boomtown as their next stop, with content focused on attacking Paragon City.

I'm trying to give the stiff-armers a sliver of hope

Perhaps the danger is closer than it appears?
I don't think you need to fear the Red Circle Monsters.

As all good Praetorian citizens know, the BAF is "where the unfortunate citizens who have succumbed to the effects of the Hamidon Spore are treated". If the Resistance is plotting to break out these DE-infested patients, then clearly the fanatical Calvin Scott is in league with the ever-lurking Hamidon. Is there no treachery he will not stoop to in his obsessed vendetta against Emperor Cole?
|
The raid is suppose to be the Mother Mercy Hospital not the BAF.
|
But as there's more than one Incarnate Trial in I20, it's quite possible that Mother Mayhem's assylum will be invovled in one of them.
Here's some concept art for her lair:
From the look of it, I think any maps for the inside would be similar to the university interior maps.

GG, I would tell you that "I am killing you with my mind", but I couldn't find an emoticon to properly express my sentiment.
|
See, for GG, there is no "acceptable allowance."
When faced with the threat of a world-eating monstrosity, the planet's hero is not allowed to sway the masses with mind-altering chemicals, torture, and outright slaughter just to produce some solidarity among humanity.
Yes, the world of Praetoria is not a world of black and white morality, but the line GG is drawing is at the point where Cole is taking away a person's individuality by force.
And, frankly, I can't fault her for that. He truly is a Tyrant. He may have some noble intentions, but his methods of bringing those intentions about are far too high a price to pay and still come out looking like a saint. His true intention is for power, not order, not the salvation of his world. If it were otherwise, he wouldn't be trying to brainwash the people with chemicals in the water or have an entire corps of enforcers who read your mind for dissenting thoughts (Hello? Big Brother? Thought Crime? George Orwell simply MUST be spinning in his grave).
Is GG being rigid? Yeah. You have to remember, though, GG was there when Tyrant was nothing more than the goatee-wearing version of Statesman, and his major motivation was just "RARGH! CONQUER!" It's kind of hard to get somebody to see somebody like that as anything less than a total monster, even with the retroactive continuity.
