Hamidon Sighting in Praetoria?
Taken DIRECTLY From Tyrants GR website bio: The battle was brief, and at first indecisive. Cole's attacks seemed to damage the creature, but the same physiology that had rendered it immune to the combined effects of a half dozen nuclear weapons were able to easily deal with Cole's powers. Likewise, Cole proved too tough for the flailing tentacles and claws to do much more than swat him around, but Cole would recover just as quickly.
Goodbye. Not to the game, but the players. Goodbye. Everyone, remember to have fun. That's all I can say.
Also according to Tyrant's bio, they some how used the Hamidon to restore the parts of the planets destroyed by nuclear bombs. They probably didn't just turn it loose after that, so it's probably contained somewhere where it won't be making random attacks on the capital city of the world.
Issue 16 made me feel like this.

I agree, looks more like a Luska thing.
Hami does not have tentacles. |

Likewise, Cole proved too tough for the flailing tentacles and claws to do much more than swat him around, but Cole would recover just as quickly. Desperate to kill the beast, Cole called upon a reserve of energy he had only ever suspected lie within him and unleashed a devastating bolt of power that nearly laid the beast low. Now he had its undivided attention. |
No, you posted the elongated one!
Bah!
Sorry I missed that detail.
I have to say, it doesn't make sense to me to make Hami a completely different creature in a world that is supposed to be a parallel/mirror of Primal. *shrug*

Probably why we're not a a Statesman ruled "Utopia". We got Hamidon 0.5. They got Hamidon 4.2.

Arc #271637 - Welcome to M.A.G.I. - An alternative first story arc for magic origin heroes. At Hero Registration you heard the jokes about Azuria always losing things. When she loses the entire M.A.G.I. vault, you are chosen to find it.
Blue: ~Knockback Squad on Guardian~
Red: ~Undoing of Virtue on [3 guesses]~
In Praetoria the Rikti are dolphins and their version of the hydra is a giant space monster living on the moon.

The key points are still the same - Hamidon Pasalima turns into a monster and tries to "clean up" the world, but is defeated and contained - the shape he turns into isn't really that important - it just needs to be big and threatening.

The main difference is that Primal Hamidon can be beat down by regular heroes on a nightly schedule. Praetorian Hami needs something a bit more "godly" to handle.
Praetoria: Everythings better there. Even the society destroying eco-terrorist monsters. (Hey, I didn't say better for US...)
One forum name, two members: Molly Hackett & Heliphyneau.
AE arcs:

I thought the main reason for the difference was our Hami isn't an Incarnate, but theirs is. Therefore it's generally more formed and more powerful. Not to mention that their Hami came into existence years before ours.
Things do not need to be direct mirrors in Praetoria. The best example I know: on Primal Earth, Megan Duncan (Ms. Liberty) is a Martial Arts/Invulnerability Scrapper. On Praetorian Earth, Megan Duncan (Dominatrix) has gravity powers.
Also, it's perfectly possible that in the extra time that Praetorian Hamidon has been around, it's evolved into something more than a single cell.
Proud member of Everyday Heroes (Infinity Heroes), Dream Stalkers (Infinity Villains), Devil Never Cry (Freedom Heroes), Enclave of EVIL (Pinnacle Villains), Phobia (Infinity Villains), Les Enfant Terribles (Freedom Villains), Gravy Train (Virtue Heroes), and more!

This. In fact, their Hamidon has been around for a good, what, twenty-five years?

Primal Hami is described as an amoeba.
So I would expect the mirror/parallel version to be something similar, not some other type of fully fleshed monster. If the Praet. Hami has evolved so far as to become a fully fleshed monster, it should have a different name, IMO.
NOW, IF you want to say that the Praet. version of Hami is some other type of protozoa... I could buy into that.
