How are you playing until i19?
Ok, these two I have a problem with.
I'm playing a Dark Armor character for crying out loud without stamina, and I have no endurance issues. Don't put so much bias into your choices. |
It could just be my mindset, I have also been picking Fitness on every toon for years.
How are you playing for the next month? or so? |
I guess its the way I play. No downtime, spam attacks, toggles up all the time. I use End Reds (after acc of course) when slots allow and only until set bonuses come into play. Stamina does seem to help.

Seriously though, I don't care if you have endurance problems. Just don't assume that we all do.
Where to now?

I go with #2. But the newest toons I have are MMs, so it doesn't matter too much.
What! I suppose to play differently than i normally do?
Triumph Charactors: Tabby Cat: 50 Claws/Regen
Isabella Ice: 50 ice/ice
Wondderland: 50 ice/cold
Mindfull: 50/Kin
I'm taking Stamina for now on most characters, at least Swift on those who dont need it (eg my Elec Dom). When you're dual boxing, its very annoying to have one character who runs more slowly than the other.
I hardly ever respec characters, so I'll just use the freespecs when I19 hits. Some of my characters I have a plan for what powers they'll take in the freed up slots, some I don't.
As for me, option #1: Play as I always have, taking Stamina as needed, and just worry about respeccing when i19 appears.
I do NOT like running out of End, and I like being able to fire powers off as fast as they recharge. I am past 20 now with some of my Praetorians, and that is how I am rolling.
"How do you know you are on the side of good?" a Paragon citizen asked him. "How can we even know what is 'good'?"
"The Most High has spoken, even with His own blood," Melancton replied. "Surely we know."
To be perfectly honest, I'm mostly doing option #5: not playing until i19 comes out. But that's just my usual every-three-months burnout/break from CoX and not anything apropos.
Like I did before. I have a bunch of vet specs, so it hasn't effected me any.

Then I'm not sure where your issues are coming from. I'm running a level 29 stalker right now. All DA toggles except Cloak of Fear, add in weave and combat jumping. I spam my attacks (gotta keep a few stacks of Divine Avalanche running). I'm not noticing any downtime either.

Of course.
Doesn't matter much, though, because I just don't use that power often.

I'm mostly playing 50s, getting opposite side badges on my mains and such.
Sometimes I play my Praetorian KM/DA Scrapper. She's level 14. I want to remember what life was like before inherent fitness so a few years from now I will have stories to tell to all those darn kids all over my lawn.

I'm laying off on respecs for the time being, mostly playing my 50s, grinding out tips.

I've got two characters in the upper 40's that I'm concentrating on for the time being. Once I-19 hits I can figure out what I'm going to do with the lower ones. Not starting any new character til then probably.
Omega Zim - lvl 50 Rad/Dark/Power Defender, Alpha Zim - lvl 50 Tri-form Peacebringer
Theta Zim - lvl 50 Tri-form Warshade, Nightshade Zim - lvl 50 Dark/Dark/Psi Defender
Omicron Zim - lvl 50 Emp/Psi/Power Defender, Scrappy Joe - lvl 50 MA/SR Scrapper
I'm concentrating on all the Praetorians I made and I'm resting my 50s for the moment. I'll concentrate on my 50s again when we get the Incarenate stuff, so it's good to devote some time to my lowbies.

And his attacks are all well frankenslotted for Accuracy, Damage, and Endurance reduction.

I know Assault is a big endurance hog, but I just got that and was already having stamina problems beforehand. I thought that with my frankenslotting, lack of stamina would not be a major problem, but apparently I was wrong.
Hopefully, upgrading everything that is under 24 with 30s when I hit 27 will help here.
I've been running a new dom without Stamina, thinking I'd never level it so far (currently 37) before inherent Stamina arrived. I've done okay by pacing myself, using blues, taking advantage of temp powers and empowerment buffs, and leveraging dom for the free refills. There are certainly times when it can be painful though. Clockwork, Mu, and Freaks leave mean completely drained while the rest of the team is managing to chug along.
I'm mostly playing as usual.
Except that I respec'ed out of Fitness on a level 45 blaster, which strangely hasn't slowed it down much.
And I've used the dual build option to make Fitness free builds for a couple of brutes, which has worked very well.
I'm beginning to question if I really needed stamina with IO frankenslotting and SO enhancements.
The only real difference is that I'm using blue inspirations instead of destroying them.
Sorry if this has been discussed already countless times but as always Im late to the show.
With the knowledge of inherent Stamina etc, I just cant seem to want to work on my characters. I always throw Stamina in whatever build Im leveling usually by 25 or so. I also like to respec once I hit 50. So what I see as my choices are: 1. Play as normal, get stamina, then respec after i19. 2. Dont bother with stamina, and be without end all the time. Then respec after i19. 3. Play lowbie toons that usually wouldnt have picked up stamina yet. Deal with all other problems lowbie toons have, no end, acc, money, etc. 4. Respec Stamina out now, add other powers, deal with recovery issues, then respec after i19, to add a slot or two in health or stamina. Yeah so I kind of feel stagnant, not sure what to do. Anyone else experiencing this? How are you playing for the next month? or so? |

My 3 ex-Praetorians are all dealing with it in 3 different ways.
My Broadsword/Fire scrapper used his second build to fit Stamina in at 22 (my usual thing to do). So he's waiting on i19 in order to regain the powers he had to sacrifice for Stamina at 22.
My Fire/Dark Corrupter has skipped it, but is feeling the pain so she's on hold until the inherent comes along.
My Elec/NRG Domi skipped it but doesn't need it anyway. He's the one I'm playing most and when it does come along it'll be freespecced in but remain unslotted bar the initial slot.
I'm still enjoying all the awesome from Issue 18, personally. I have no idea how people can say "Okay, it's old now. Gimme more new!"
As for Stamina, I don't take it anyway, so life isn't any different for me. It's a benefit of the freedom I've been enjoying all this time. (-: |
THIS!!!!! Resoundingly so! There's some fantastic content I'm still discovering and having a lot of fun with, but I expect I will probably respec those who REALLY need it in due course.
For now I'm just playing as I normally do and I'll stress about Stamina when I19 is out and proven and I need to
Thelonious Monk
Im just playing like I normally have... Have so many vet and free specs not to worry about about having to respec and deal with the whole inherent powers when they come out. Some toons I will respec others I will leave alone.
