Heh heh. Isn't Hawkman supposed to be more bulkier though?

He was getting pretty buffed in the last few seasons of SG-1. He wasn't the skinny little nerd from the first season anymore.

It also helps that the gave Hawkman a breastplate so his physique doesn't have to be quite so perfect.

Imagine a Stargate/Smallville Crossover...

Clark: Don't I know you?
Daniel: No?
Clark: Strange I think I know you from somewhere...
Carter: Hey Clark...
Clark: Daniel!
Carter: Who?

So Cat Grant pushes Clark to become Superman ...... ..... The new 'suit' he's got is a baby step, I wonder how far into the season before he goes full monte. I'm hoping it will be for more than just the last episode given that Darkseid is supposed to be the villain.

That was Glorious Godfrey on the radio. There's no supposed to be about it. Darkseid is the big bad for the season.

I did like the way it ultimately worked out with Cat pushing Clark to step into the light though I can't say I particularly cared for this version of Cat. I wasn't real wild about their version of Deadshot either.

I suppose we're going to see the death of Carter before the end of the season. Just wonder if that means we'll also see his and Shayera's rebirth.

So...

Apparently Deadshot has weapons that fire not only the bullet at his targets, but the ENTIRE CARTRIDGE as well.

And here I thought most TV shows had gotten past that bit of stupid ignorance about how bullets work.

Not only that, but he's able to make bullets curve in the air. He couldn't just hit the gas tank... he had to hit the engine block through the tailpipe. >_<

The only part of the episode that was done decently was Lois and Hawkman in Egypt. Everything else was just... wrong...

Given that what would conventionally be considered the cartridge seemed to house technical components (as seen with the first bullet, which seemed to sprout wings/some sort of guidance system), it would be ignorant to presume Deadshot's bullets work the same as mundane gunpowder-propelled bullets. I believe Clark has stopped conventional bullets in slow-mo before which did not have the cartridge attached.

Seriously.....you'll accept people from different planets, people being reincarnated over thousands of years, people flying and being invulnerable, heat vision, mystical helmets that tap into ancient forces, men from mars, cloning of full life people......but not weird bullets??

Actually, from what they showed, the bullet never even made it past the first bend just after the muffler. Not even past the resonator. Despite Clark stating it was in the "engine block".

Interestingly, the CGI version of the bullet was just the bullet. It was only the physical props that showed the bullets with Clark's name being inscribed on the CYLINDER.

Also the ability of the 'forensics lab' to un-crumple the squashed round into a pristine perfect pre-fired form was more than a little eye-roll worthy.

Kind of amusing was that the second round meant for Clark was clearly shown to be a revolver round, but it was somehow fired from a rifle.

More likely the prop department needed more surface area to clearly show for the camera Clark's name on the "bullet", and they thought nobody would know the difference.

Only, this is more or less a geek show. They should know better.

Yes, geeks should know better than to presume a villain's bullets are mundane when they have clearly been shown to be otherwise.

Personally, I was more disturbed that Deadshot seemed to be channeling a bit of Jonah Hex. Hawkman seeing a vision of his wife in Lois was also disconcerting, though it ultimately seemed to be a herring of the reddish sort.

I would accept that, but the CGI bullet (that sprouted wings and such) was just the bullet, whereas the physical prop showed Deadshot clearly inscribing Clark's name on the cylinder.

The show's not even consistent with itself.

Yeah, the "western gunslinger" bit was jarring. Deadshot has never been that sort of persona.

Also, no mustache.

My attention to detail is a bit wobbly, but the physical prop that he apparently inscribed: wasn't it a shiny silver seamless one-piece thing in the shape of a bullet?

I can't help but wish that he hadn't stopped it in time, in any case. That Cat Grant is very annoying.

I also can't help but feel that Smallville's "Darkseid" is going to literally be Clark's dark side manifested in a terribly CG'd form. I always expect to be disappointed with this show. I'd drown my bitterness in Flash cakes if I could find any around here.

That would be pretty redundant since they already did that with Bizarro.

Did you see the first episode of the new season? We've already gotten our first look at Darkseid.

I wonder who he got to make that jacket and how he explained his need for it.

Also, this is his attempt, I suppose, to "come out of the shadows" a bit and have a bit of colour. So why choose such a dark red? I would have liked a blue coat with a red symbol, something that's just a step away from his real suit. I mean, he's already seen (and seemed to like) the Superman suit, so why not move a little closer to that?

I think someone commented that perhaps this look was an homage to his look in Godfall.

If you look, he is wearing a blue shirt underneath. Now if you consider that a jacket can be worn as a cape >.> He's now just missing the yellow ^.^

Well it's Superman vs. Deadshot. Not much fight potential there, unless you incorporate Kryptonite bullets, which would have made it more groan-worthy. This is why I kept saying it would have been better if it was Green Arrow trying to stop Deadshot in the episode.

Yes. Hence the "terribly CG'd". That Darkseid looked horrible.
