Good, great, yes! More costume and animation stuff coming with issues. I've come to accept that we need some costume packs and such, but I only feel okay with that when I see good things coming with the issues as well. I'll be keen on seeing how this looks on my characters!

Very pleased to see these are coming "as standard" and not part of a paid-for expansion but the cynic in me does wonder if that's because they were leaked somehow.

And yes, they do look good. It makes me wonder what else is/was going to be in the pack with these things.

I love the Firefly aura (still need to see Snow in action).
I also love the fact that this seems to have come from a discussion BaBs had with us a while back regarding auras (and the Flies aura in particular). In that discussion, I, and several others, asked for a colorable version of the Flies aura. It's another thing stemming from the "give them what they want" philosophy.
Furthermore, I'm also very happy that the auras are part of a free expansion. It's a move in (or a return to) the right direction after the Party Pack debacle.
All around great job.
Now, how many other costume options are we getting with i19?

That's not really much of a conspiracy theory, it's just what players have come to expect in an era of microtransactions.
But how's this for a conspiracy theory:

They were working on these auras intending to be in a future pack. But the flood of negativity with the party pack prompted marketing to do some damage control so they decided to put it into a free issue instead.
However, they can't wait on that damage control until the issue is released, so they decided to "leak" whatever they have developed already so they can come out as a hero for listening to the player's concerns.

I think you're crediting marketing with more intelligence than is due
That said I do feel they are slowly learning that there's some stuff the client base will be unhappy about. I wouldn't be at all surprised if the "Party Pack" was a test bed to see if something that minimal and would actually make a decent profit.

Just as an FYI... I ws playing with my Crab Spider's look today and came across a "Storm Cloud" Aura.
Imagine that you mixed full body Smokey and full body Electricity. It's pretty sweet, but didn't match my character's theme at all.

My guides:Dark Melee/Dark Armor/Soul Mastery, Illusion Control/Kinetics/Primal Forces Mastery, Electric Armor

I only have it as an option on his main costume, however I also have Snow on him and my Night Widow (her main as well).
Guess I got lucky for once. Went ahead and left it on him.
Ah, I see it. You're correct, only in the first costume slot for SoA. This will be really cool when/if we get this. I have some storm toons this will work great for. I just wish it'd cover wings so my Storm Dragon would have the perfect aura! :P
Edit - it is pretty darn cool tho how it trails behind you with electricity covering you. Very much like Electric aura mixed with the Steamy Mist power.
Edit2 - Well I got excited for a minute - I thought there was an attached sound effect of rumbling thunder but I think it may have been just the ambient sound near the Pocket D tailor? I couldn't replicate it outside of Pocket D tho I think I may hear a faint electric sound once in a while with the aura.

Agreed. Storm Cloud would benefit the most out of having a secondary color option. I've often wished that all auras would have that option.
