Super Freak, I hate you!

When did they add Super Freak to Freakshows?

That dude has made Freakshows so much more annoying to deal with. I hate him but I am glad the dev made it harder as freakshows were farmed so much.


That auto-rez's radius is so large that it's almost impossible to get away and the worst is when he casts static field. He doesn't do a whole lot of damage but he just keeps draining and puts people to sleep.


I hate him but I enjoy him. Nice challenge to the freakshow mob.


What's left is to normalize all Assassin Strikes and improve Stalker's old sets (Claw, MA and EM)! You don't need to bring back the missing PbAoE attack. You just need to make the existing ones better! For example, make Slice a WIDER and LONGER cone.

The Super Freak is an Elite Boss empowered by a shard of Merulina's coral. I think you mean Super Stunner, which is the new Freakshow boss.

I tend to use my Nemesis Staff to finish them off so I'm not in range of the PBAoE :3

I wouldn't mind it so much, but the autohit Nukerez with huge -end and -recovery right after he is defeated is just a bit too much. Would be nice to have at least a few seconds to get away from the radius.

I think the Freakshow was in need of a little more difficulty. The end drain appars to be a little stronger as well (unless that is my imagination running wild again). Nice change in my book.

Yeah I wish even more groups got some new enemies, heres hoping!

Oh and on that note, 30-40 Crey could use a serious overhaul. Skulls are more dangerous then their scientists.

Speaking about enemy difficulty, Circle of Thorn is the weakest past lvl 40 for some reasons. CoT starts out strong (probably the strongest) and it's nasty with whole bunch of ghosts and a Mage with force field and earth control powers. The Earth mage era is also very nasty but after earth mage, the whole CoT group becomes the easiest to maul through. Maybe it's because both Carnies and Malta are harder which makes CoT easier..it seems.

I usually play Doms. When I see a Super Stunner I pop Domination and hold him. The rez is annoying yes, but then I just hold him to death again.

So bring Doms on your teams, it turns him into a kitty cat.

Super Stunners are the Pikachus of CoH/V.
Or something like that.
Mostly because i get so much satisfaction out of beating them down and then sending them flying just to watch them get back up with a just enough health for me to beat them down again.

Also because i find it easy to imagine them flying around going "Pika, pika! Pikaaaa-CHUU!" *ZOT*
Hmmmmm, i wonder when they'll be added to AE?

really? I find Council to be statues made of butter compared to a horde of Succuubi and mages.

Of course, Succubi only exist redside. Also, I only find Death Mages to be a problem in melee range (see: Chill of the Night). The lieutenant mages are never really a problem, and in the 40+ range, the Thorn Casters can't do anything special. (But Earth Thorn Casters in the 35-39 range suck.)

depends on what you play I laugh at Malta on my Fire/SD other than a sapper once in a blue moon getting me I just mow through the malta

Now Carnies suck for /sd but on a /WP /da and /elec scrappers love fighting carnies because they have built in powers to deal with them

Yeah.. I can see Fire doing good damage on Malta. Well, I just know most my characters with lethal damage hates Malta. I think Malta's lethal resistance is as high as 30% in general? Those robots?

Well, you are only bringing up melee toons with defensive sets. I think most squishies will hate fighting Carnies/Malta way more than high level CoT. I am only bringing up CoT being weaker past lvl 40 because CoT starts out very strong in comparison to other enemy group.

all the human malta have abotu 20-30% lethal resist (sappers have 50% energy resist and immune to end drain)

the robots have 50% lethal resist

And Freaks are still only worth 90%XP, right? Considering they WERE worth 120% of base are they really still 30% easier than they were "thought" to be for 5 years? Or has this been reset?

Wow, hardened street toughs are more dangerous than lab geeks with guns? I like that Crey minions are wimps... they're just nerds with fancy weapons (sort of like AIM troopers). It's the guys in powered armor and the superhuman clones you have to watch out for.

Holy cow.. 50% lethal resist? Can't they reduce some? That's a bit outrageous. And Longbows also have the most resistance against lethal if I remember correct. Crey Tankers have huge resistance against lethal/smashing too.

Many (most?) robots have 50% Lethal resist. Malta titans and Council / 5th Column mechs are all very annoying to Lethal-only characters, and Malta is particularly bad because their humans also have decent Lethal resists from their body armor. It's really handy to have at least one attack that does non-Lethal (and non-psi) damage when you run into bots.
